quote from kean

He said: "You look back to last season and I think I'm right in saying Blackpool had 32 points at this stage, so we feel we can get back to teams, and not only Villa. Swansea are just above them, and we're looking to catch the teams above us.

how reporters refrain from the old cough cough bullsh1t cough cough gag when speaking to this tool is beyond me.

Not such a good "thinker" after all then. Does this guy just say whatever he thinks will keep people off his back?

After 26 games, Blackpool had 29 points. That additional 3 points that Kean thinks they had would have kept them up! (It was Rovers who had 32 points and - under Kean - stumbled to 11 points out of 12 games). At this stage of last season 2 of the bottom 3 ended up being relegated.

Whatever point he was trying to make is flawed. Again.

He does have a point though. One team usually gets sucked into it and drops like a stone. In the past burnley, Blackpool and Hull have all done it.

Could see Villa having a tricky run.

yeah, but can you really see it being us that blast our way up the league. Villa may crumble but i can only see it being qpr or wolves that do the chasing.

Still amazed that i have'nt read a response from kean about our defensive record. "x" amount of games with no clean sheet is more than worthy of a direct question being put to our manager/coach/chairman/pr man/boogeyman.

I have massive respect for poor Stevie kean. How could he possibly do his job with all the evil and nasty fans subjecting him to abuse the football world has never seen before. I'm ashamed to be a rovers supporter and how we have treated this poor guy is disgraceful. I personally DO NOT want to hurt him physically. Happy opposite day everyone!

Are we still looking to finish top half?

Easily. We have a great series of winnable games coming up. We'll go surging up the league. Judge Keano after those fixtures. He's under a lot of pressure, responding to 500 hand written letters a day is no mean feat. Once our new signings settle in we'll start picking up points. Be positive!!!

Top half of the five relegation candidates...

If we're using decimal points 3rd in that mini league could be construed as top half.

Well Stevo would sure be looking to spin it that way.

Come to think of it, I don't think I've ever seen a post from you at the same time as one of Kean's press conferences.

Hmmm...

I heard Mark Bowen on R5 earlier talking about QPRs recent run. Not once did he come across as talking nonsense or trying to deflect blame, QPR fans won't have taken issue with anything he said. Why are we stuck with Kean and his PR spin??

With quite a few games left, Kean is already commenting and hoping on other teams slipping up.

“I think the point is an important point because I don’t think any of the teams have made any ground on us, and we have made a bit of ground on some around us and if Fulham go and beat Wolves tomorrow, and they could then we will be out of the bottom three.

“It could be a very valuable point and then out of the last four home games, we could have beaten Newcastle, so from a possible 12 points to get two wins and a draw and add that together with the five very hard away games that we’ve had it keeps up going.

“Although it wasn’t three points today, it could be a very valuable point.”

Good to see Dunn's snub to Kean after he scored today. Definitely gets some good will back after his previous slagging of the fans.

I'm sure someone else posted that he went over to Kean after the goal?

Got arrested today in the Jack Walker Lower next to the away squad at halftime. All i shouted was 'sort it out Kean this is a disgrace'. Copper said i was drunk inside a sporting arena. I told him Kean should be arrested also, then the cuffs went on. Just got out of Whitebirk with a caution. He must have security dotted about because the copper came running out from under the stand, he never heard or saw me shout.

I'll never go to Ewood again aslong as these idiots are running the show.
