Stuart Posted March 3, 2012 Posted March 3, 2012 I noticed the stewards double up pitchside with 10 minutes left then stand up for the last 5. Not sure if they were expecting a pitch invasion (never going to happen) but it was very aggressive posturing. Kean's doing?

Backroom Tom Posted March 3, 2012 Backroom Posted March 3, 2012 Bloke with the suit and black overcoat on hovering at the front of the tunnel, that's the bodyguard, I take it? He normally hangs there, short dark hair
47er Posted March 3, 2012 Posted March 3, 2012 I know I'm largely preaching to the converted but I'll feel better when I've siad it------ how many points have we lost because the team only plays for half the game? The reason is always the same------Kean's inability to set up the side to give us an optimum chance of success. Either we are doing well and leading and he makes daft substitutions that cost us the game or, as yesterday, he makes the wrong selections and has players in the wrong position. So changes both positional and individual at half-timeand "hey presto" we are competing at last! This fraud of a manager is still learning on the job and that's another "Cup Final" we didn't win. Players must be absolutely sick of him-------he is holding them back. PS------don't pick Petrovic again.
Batman. Posted March 4, 2012 Posted March 4, 2012 Got arrested today in the Jack Walker Lower next to the away squad at halftime. All i shouted was 'sort it out Kean this is a disgrace'. Copper said i was drunk inside a sporting arena. I told him Kean should be arrested also, then the cuffs went on. Just got out of Whitebirk with a caution. He must have security dotted about because the copper came running out from under the stand, he never heard or saw me shout. I'll never go to Ewood again aslong as these idiots are running the show. "What's the officer, problem?'
Mike Graham Posted March 4, 2012 Posted March 4, 2012 Preston blue did, but all I saw was Dunny run past him to celebrate with the coaches and then ignore him as he tried to join in as he ran back past. I'm sure MOTD will clarify though Sorry guys but as I do not go to games anymore I relied on BBC TV Final Score when Garth (is he Kentaro?) Crookes said that "Dunn ran over to Kean to celebrate with him and this shows that Kean still has the support of the players".....ffs !!! If I still went to Ewood ( NEVER under Venkys nor Kean) then I would either have a heart attack from rage, or get arrested for fatally karate chopping Coco's bodyguard.
thenodrog Posted March 4, 2012 Posted March 4, 2012 The copper said i was drunk and i'd threadened to run on the pitch, he must of caught the lying disease off someone he's protecting. Why didn't you say somebody had spiked your drink?
roversmum Posted March 4, 2012 Posted March 4, 2012 Sorry guys but as I do not go to games anymore I relied on BBC TV Final Score when Garth (is he Kentaro?) If I still went to Ewood ( NEVER under Venkys nor Kean) then I would either have a heart attack from rage, or get arrested for fatally karate chopping Coco's bodyguard. He didn't, as others have said. He ran to the coaches, hugged them then very obviously straight past Kean who tried to pat him on the back as he went. We sit next to the bench and saw it very clearly.
Neil Weaver Posted March 4, 2012 Posted March 4, 2012 Sorry guys but as I do not go to games anymore I relied on BBC TV Final Score when Garth (is he Kentaro?) Crookes said that "Dunn ran over to Kean to celebrate with him and this shows that Kean still has the support of the players".....ffs !!! Like Roversmum, I'm also in the JW Lower. I've been paying attention these last few months on any interaction with the bench/Kean and the last time I can honestly remember Kean being the focus is the infamous event with the Yak at the Swansea game. Whenever there's a celebration involving someone running over to the bench or a break in play meaning that a few players wander over there for a drink, Kean is blanked and the players talk to Black etc. So much for the players backing Kean - far from it I'd say.
DavidMailsTightPerm Posted March 4, 2012 Posted March 4, 2012 I part heard some of Dunn's interview on RR - I am sure he said that we would see big changes next season if we stay up - anyone else hear similar - and what do you think he was referring to ?

I heard that, I hope he means Venkys and Kean out of the club in summer.
MarkBRFC Posted March 4, 2012 Posted March 4, 2012 Think your reading to much into it, nothing will change.
gumboots Posted March 4, 2012 Posted March 4, 2012 I part heard some of Dunn's interview on RR - I am sure he said that we would see big changes next season if we stay up - anyone else hear similar - and what do you think he was referring to ? He probably means higher prices, more officious stewarding (what was that all about when the stewards suddenly appeared in anticipation of a pitch invasion?) far fewer fans so the BBN end upper stays closed, less choice of pies etc (Venkys chicken anyone?) and similar changes. Not a change in either owner or manager.
Waggy76 Posted March 4, 2012 Posted March 4, 2012 I heard that, I hope he means Venkys and Kean out of the club in summer. Let us hope so , I think Venkys will be selling the club in the close season which ever division we are in,definately lost interest .This would mean the end of Keans disgraceful reign .. On the downside , relegation is more than likely..
darwenfish Posted March 4, 2012 Posted March 4, 2012 We saw something similar to Jock's incident when we were at a League Cup game and the man in front shouted 'Sort it Out Kean '. The follow on from this was an interchange between the man and a member of the Rover's staff who took it on himself to reply. The staff member then threatend both the supporter and my son( who he insulted without provacation). The Head Steward actually restrained the staff member from coming back up the stairs to confront another fan . The staff member also declared the club did not want support from people like us! Paul Hunt's reply was less than satisfactory and its only the hope that Kean and his cronies will be gone eventually that keeps us going back.
RoyRover Posted March 4, 2012 Posted March 4, 2012 I was listening to a bit of 5 Live yesterday after the football. Mark Chapman read out a tweet from a Rovers fan who said something along the lines of "If pundits bothered to watch Rovers games, they would understand why Rovers fans were protesting for him to get sacked." Chapman said that they would discuss this with Robbie Savage later in the show. Did anyone else hear this? I'm going to check it out on the iPlayer later.
John Posted March 4, 2012 Posted March 4, 2012 Those non Rovers fans who are being complementary about Kean, and the job he is doing, simply don't know the key facts - ie how he got the job, lack of respect towards fans, lies, super agent etc etc. Plus his abysmal results record.... Of course working with Venkys would make it difficult however once folk become aware of these important points, they quickly change their tune - problem is vast majority of media/fans, simply don't care about BRFC to know the detail of what has gone on.

Fair enough Neil and Roversmum, I am more than happy with your observations but somewhat narked with the positive remark from the "pundits".
miqaayil Posted March 4, 2012 Posted March 4, 2012 AVB is sacked from chelsea .... i just don't see any sense how kean is still in a job ...
rovers11 Posted March 4, 2012 Posted March 4, 2012 I part heard some of Dunn's interview on RR - I am sure he said that we would see big changes next season if we stay up - anyone else hear similar - and what do you think he was referring to ? A sale is the most likely option. Just can't see how Venky's can remain. They can't even come to the games anymore because they are hated so much. They are launching their Venky's xpress stores in the near future and that won't be successful unless they get rid of rovers. I believe their shareholders are putting pressure on Venky's to sell rovers and focus their attention on making a success of other avenues of their business, including the xpress stores.

I was told about 6 months ago that Rovers were being mortgaged to the hilt to fund these steroid grown fried chicken outlets, if its true then we haved been truely ###### over to fund a shabby business venture.

SIMON GARNERS 194 Posted March 4, 2012 Posted March 4, 2012 I wouldn't be surprised in the least...if true.

SouthAussieRover Posted March 4, 2012 Posted March 4, 2012 Kean should apply for the vacant Chelsea job. I'm sure he'd get far more than the current 500 letters of support if he chose to apply.
