OJRovers Posted March 6, 2012 Posted March 6, 2012 Kean: "on Saturday we were poor". Is that the first honest appraisal that he's given?! I don't think I've ever heard him say that - I thought it would have been the usual bumfluff. Yes, but he followed it up with "the second half is how we usually play at home" er not in the games i've been to!

Backroom DE. Posted March 6, 2012 Backroom Posted March 6, 2012 Keano comes out with the odd crumb of truth every so often recently. Maybe he's given the 24/7 BS crown to "TC".
Majiball Posted March 6, 2012 Posted March 6, 2012 By the end of the season he will have had a longer Rovers reign than Roy Hodgson Makes you wonder whether Roy should have asked for an unsackable clause in his contract?
yoda Posted March 6, 2012 Posted March 6, 2012 Steve Kean has been a Premier League manager longer than Andre Villas-Boas. Let that sink in for a moment. OK enough is enough already, can we stop refering to Mrs D's (Please don't use that word again) buddy as a manager
SIMON GARNERS 194 Posted March 6, 2012 Posted March 6, 2012 ''I would agree that we look at the fixtures coming up now and think it’s about time that we put some points on the board.'' Well I never!....just noticed the league table?...not think its about time too Teflon you f'kin nugget!!! PLEASE GOD,DELIVER US FROM THIS UTTER MORON
Gav Posted March 9, 2012 Posted March 9, 2012 Anyone else here Irani and Brazil sticking up for Kean on talkshite earlier? I almost crashed the car, then a Rovers fans emailed in and put them straight, which brightened up the commute
G Somerset Rover Posted March 9, 2012 Posted March 9, 2012 Anybody getting slightly fed up with Kean's latest media suck up spiel about having the youngest team in the league? He knows that's probably not statistically correct so he always follows it up with "or one of the youngest". Our youung-ish team doesn't give you an excuse for your God awful record as our manager and won't do if we go down.
Mattyblue Posted March 9, 2012 Posted March 9, 2012 Well I'm proud. Take a midtable side, remove all it's quality and end up in two relegation battles in a year, yeah nice work.

Is it supposed to reassure us that the future is bright?
den Posted March 9, 2012 Posted March 9, 2012 That's just Kean talking through the media to the Raos. Young players, increased value etc. I couldn't care less if they were all in their forties - as long as we were winning games. twot.

It's just the angle of his latest spin, remember it isn't all about points and places its about book value of squad
Majiball Posted March 9, 2012 Posted March 9, 2012 "We were 3-0 up at half-time, hit the post for number four after that and, with the way we played in the second half of the draw with Aston Villa last week, if we can take those positive aspects with us, it is a game we are looking forward to." No kean hitting the post doesn't count as a goal.
gumboots Posted March 9, 2012 Posted March 9, 2012 Anyone else here Irani and Brazil sticking up for Kean on talkshite earlier? I almost crashed the car, then a Rovers fans emailed in and put them straight, which brightened up the commute Yes, I heard it and started to text in too, but realised I was about to get locked out of school and have to wait with all the naughty kids who are late so thought I'd better do it later. Then work took over and I couldn't do it, so glad someone else did. I couldn't believe they were spouting the same rubbish. When Eric Black said we need to win 5 out of the last 11 and then said that it would be hard as we'd only won 5 or so all season, was pure radio gold. Hoist with their own petard is I think the expression.

Incredible. If we do stay up, just wait for the line up of 'experts' to laud Kean for a great job. "'Cos Blackburn are always down at the bottom anyway, arent they?".

rover2000 Posted March 10, 2012 Posted March 10, 2012 Didn't Ian Wright play for Burnley briefly? Surely Kean must be a god like figure in the eyes of anyone who has links to Burnley!
Stuart Posted March 10, 2012 Posted March 10, 2012 Ex-Palace, ex-Burnley, ex-TalkSh*te, Ian Wright thinks Kean is a good 'un. Enough said. Now Ian, would you like him to take over from Arsene...?
BigAlan Posted March 10, 2012 Posted March 10, 2012 Ex-Palace, ex-Burnley, ex-TalkSh*te, Ian Wright thinks Kean is a good 'un. Enough said. Now Ian, would you like him to take over from Arsene...? That's the best question to ask all these idiots who think Kean is doing a good job. Would you want him to manage your club?
Derbyshire Blue Posted March 10, 2012 Posted March 10, 2012 On SoccerAM this morning, Rovers fan Faris Badwan (frontman with The Horrors) nice to see him in a Rovers shirt circa 98/99, thought Kean had turned the corner and doing ok now, though he realises Venky's are a disaster. It needs someone to post the facts regarding Coco on his website.
Amo Posted March 10, 2012 Posted March 10, 2012 If only we could put it down to Ian Wright being Ian Wright. The media will be out in force to hail Kean for the thankless task of keeping Rovers in the PL whilst withstanding pressure from his own supporters. He's a real trooper that lad!
Andy Posted March 10, 2012 Posted March 10, 2012 Kean...a managerial GREAT?! He'll never make a manager, let alone any kind of great.
roverandout Posted March 10, 2012 Posted March 10, 2012 i can honestly say i believe and dont slate me for saying this but i truly believe that kean will be the manager of a big club one day like real madrid or barcelona and will win back to back la liga titles, champions leagues and in a few years people will say,'remember how it all started for kean? those dreadful blackburn rovers fans doubted him and heckled him at every turn and now at look at him, i think his career has now been justified'.
