Stuart Posted March 11, 2012 Posted March 11, 2012 It would be interesting if the poll was reset again now and to see if the sack vote would be as high as it is at the moment, I would still vote yes for kean to be sacked still. I was thinking that earlier. Not many have changed their vote but would they be bothered? I notice SamDingle added her name to the "back" vote. I imagine the total number of voters would be a lot less too.

Backroom DE. Posted March 11, 2012 Backroom Posted March 11, 2012 It would be interesting if the poll was reset again now and to see if the sack vote would be as high as it is at the moment, I would still vote yes for kean to be sacked still. There would be a little bit of a swing, but most people would be put off voting "back him" due to the stigma rightly attached to a person who thinks Steve Kean should be Blackburn Rovers manager for any period of time. If the vote was anonymous, however, I guarantee the results would be much closer.

ABBEY Posted March 11, 2012 Posted March 11, 2012 Dont give a venkys if he took us to the CL final ... He's a lying scrote.
John Posted March 11, 2012 Posted March 11, 2012 "@GoalUK: Blackburn three points clear of relegation, if they survive should Steve Kean get the Manager of the Year award?"

47er Posted March 11, 2012 Posted March 11, 2012 I love how this aspect of the topic creeps back after we win one bloody game! And further, It is impossible for me to imagine the club could run well on a long-term basis with Venkys/Kean in control. Impossible!
neekoy Posted March 12, 2012 Posted March 12, 2012 back to planet earth though, if we do happen to avoid relegation this year I can see us in exactly the same position next year, this time without Junior, Robinson and possibly Yakubu.... I hope we do succeed, I hope Kean somehow turns everything around and becomes one of the best managers in the world...then someone comes and poaches his lying disgraceful face away from us.
eire3382 Posted March 12, 2012 Posted March 12, 2012 So to play devil's advocate, if we and Kean survive this season and then hypothetically were to kick on and do well next season and subsequently would people actually be disappointed we were doing well with him (and the owners) at the helm? Very hard to answer. Its never good seeing rovers struggle, but then there is the bald idiot and the chicken farmers. Neither will ever be accepted and the protests, in my opinion, should continue until they leave (regardless of the results). We may actually have a lucky period on the pitch but remember kean hasn't a clue whta he is doing so the danmage behimd the scenes must be crazy!
martmitch Posted March 12, 2012 Posted March 12, 2012 quote seconds ago from talksport "Steve Kean has done a wonderful job".... how fickle the media is
Mattyblue Posted March 12, 2012 Posted March 12, 2012 Because the media think we have spent the last 10 years in the bottom 5. So for Kean to have Rovers 16th, considering those nasty fans and terrible owners, he is doing a good job. The red tops, talksport and the talking heads on SSNews don'ty have a clue, so I no longer listen/read to them.
rovers11 Posted March 12, 2012 Posted March 12, 2012 quote seconds ago from talksport "Steve Kean has done a wonderful job".... how fickle the media is If Steve Kean had come in at Christmas with us bottom of the league and taken us to where we are now then I would have agreed that he had done a wonderful job. However, it's because he did such a woeful job for the previous year in the job that we were bottom at christmas. He is working under very difficult circumstances with Venky's as owners but the paradox is he wouldn't be in a job unless Venky's were as incompetent as they are. Some media often take a very simplistic look at the situation.
philipl Posted March 12, 2012 Posted March 12, 2012 Staying up if achieved will be a considerable achievement this season. However, by the standards pre-Venky's anything less than 10th is a massive under-performance.

Amo Posted March 12, 2012 Posted March 12, 2012 1. Destabilize an unfashionable, mid-table side. 2. Drag them into a relegation battle. 3. Save them on last day of season. 4. Take the plaudits for miraculous escape. Rinse, repeat steps 2-4. It's all falling into place.
Mike Graham Posted March 12, 2012 Posted March 12, 2012 30 votes for this numpty.....who are you kidding....a lying barsteward who along with his chicken friends has helped to destroy Rovers.

That's a nonsense and you know it.
Mattyblue Posted March 12, 2012 Posted March 12, 2012 Well considering we spent far more time pre Venky in the top half than bottom, a 17th place finish would be a regression, would it not?
Pitty Posted March 12, 2012 Posted March 12, 2012 How do you get to see who voted for sack or no sack?

OJRovers Posted March 12, 2012 Posted March 12, 2012 In September Kean himself said that we had a squad good enough to achieve a top 10 finish. He should be questioned as to why we are nowhere near reaching the top 10 if that is what was aimed for.
Mattyblue Posted March 12, 2012 Posted March 12, 2012 But he doesn't get questioned and that's what frustrates me. Spineless media who ask questions by number.

He should be questioned as to why we are nowhere near reaching the top 10 if that is what was aimed for. Don't be silly. Far more pressing questions remain such as, 'How difficult has all this pressure been for you, Steve?'
