A little late to this party but one thing that really made me sick recently, and coyle did this too, was how kean just talks about how awesome he is in his post match presser. Like he's a ###### tactical genius or something, when really he is a child trying to puff his chest out to any one with a camera and mic. makes my blood boil.

Just a random thought:

Why would anyone take notice of a fair-weather fan who disappears the moment things get tough?

Disappears from a message board? Indeed, that is the true measure of a fan.

I never miss a game, except the Wolves at home 5-0er when I was on holiday many years ago.

I put in the support where it matters. Throughout the game.

The fans of BRFC are no different to any other, any other club's fans would have reacted the same way.

If you think the modern football fan is an idiot, fair enough.

Generally speaking yes, football fans are idiots. Not all, but a large majority don't understand football.

I'd think most people would agree with that, and most of those agreeing won't realise they don't understand, which is wonderful.

Generally speaking, a lot of people are idiots to an extent. Most are harmless enough though.

I hijack the song of a former dead chairman and sing it purely as a song against the owners, rather than singing it respectfully in his memory. Like all good Rovers fans of the last 18 months.

If your first comment is about Jack Walker, I would like to point out he wasn't the chairman.

If you never miss a match and you go in the Blackburn End, I am surprised you earlier commented both Dann and Hanley merely booted the ball up front to get rid. Do you not notice a difference in their distribution?

Their distribution has been generally poor, but I said when they play long it's generally poor. More chance of getting it to work than aimless big boot to Kalinic as they are sometimes hitting Yak with a ball he can do something with, not something 50/50 or less, but generally their distribution is lacking. We look better when Nzonzi comes short but that can't happen all the time.

The older son goes in the Blackburn End and is accompanied for around half the matches by his girl friend.

One match she didn't go and my wife, who normally goes with me, went into the BBE.

The lad pointed out a big difference in the style of distribution of the 2 players which my wife noticed as soon as he said it.

I'm surprised you haven't noticed it.(This is not intended as an attack on you).

Ah, I thought you meant a difference in their distribution as in over time, not in comparison.

Still, I maintain they are both poor. They each have good games and bad games, or rather more noticeable bad games when it comes to distribution. generally they aren't a million miles off.

Maybe we could continue this conversation after the Sunderland match, which will give you another chance to do the comparison, if they both play.

Both the son and my wife noticed a considerable difference.

Fair enough, though I say give it till the end of the season (5 home games, where I can see the whole pitch and the options available to each when on the ball - better with the full picture). As I say, they each have games when their distribution looks noticeably poor. I've spent whole games dreading each of them getting the ball at their feet, at least two times each so I'd rather watch them over a few games than leap to a rash decision over one game. I'll keep an eye out for it though.

I keep trying to tell you that Braddock is only on here to wind everyone up. Stop feeding the troll and he'll have to get his jollies elsewhere (hopefully).

I've been looking for an ignore button but we don't seem to have them anymore.

Thay all know he's not cut it as a top level manager. But what are they supposed to say? The fact is, without being privy to some of the rumours about his appointment and behind the scenes conduct, other managers or media sources can only comment on what looks to be a very dignified persona. To the outside world lickle ol Stevie has done wonders with a very poor Rovers side hampered by crazy foreign owners who ride the corridors of Ewood on unicycles, with painted faces, oversized shoes and juggling flaming torches.

Face it, to the outside world Steve Kean is performing miracles. It is this fact which really troubles me. Because some of the accusations thrown his way by those in the know must have tangible evidence. Surely to god? If so, why can't it be made known to the outsiders? I've heard people alluding to the fact that their evidence might bring the whole thing crashing down. Well if thats the case would it actually make things any worse? Until somebody can provide proof of any wrond doing we'll have to accept the public perception of both Kean and Rovers fans. We will always be the villains of the piece and Kean will always be the martyr.

His various idiotic quotes in the media should be enough to put this myth of him being a 'dignified' man to rest, and that's without mentioning his drink driving conviction or customs arrest - which I will exclude on the grounds they aren't within the footballing realm and some think it unfair to use them against him.

There is plenty of proof he's lied to the fans about contracts, lied to the media about his own contract and how many fans are supporting him, lied about our transfer budget and indeed transfers in and out of the club, lied about our ambitions in cup competitions, lied about the owners, lied about getting millions of letters of fan support... yeah he's pretty much lied about everything. Oh, and he's also issued public comments inciting fans to fight each other and judged who 'true' fans really are.

But he's all dignity, apparently. Braddock's kind of man - not afraid to bullshit all day long and still come out smiling at the end of it like some kind of deranged psychopath.

You see, not cutting it as a top level manager whilst in charge of a club like Blackburn is getting relegated.

Even Kean's propagander in chief, Paul Agnew said mere 'survival would not be progress'.

So, as he comes towards the end of his second season, with no progress (we have regressed, looking at the table) why is he still here? Kean is trying his best, I'm sure, but the club is flirting with disaster as he learns the ropes.

Almost.

'Not cutting it' at a club like Blackburn is constantly being in threat of relegation, whilst telling the press that 'there's no way at all that we'll be relegated' and we're aiming to finish in Europe.

Cutting it is finishing comfortably mid-table and above, which good managers like Hughes and Big Sam were able to do.
