There is a clear distinction to be made here:

Those that have whipped up hysteria based on rumour, heresay and clear agendas (wanting Kean out before his poor record)

Or to rephrase that: those who absolutely knew that the club was making huge mistakes at every step and were subsequently proved right. Not that there was anything clever about that, because there's a huge majority who thought the same.

Interesting body language from Mr Rao when asked the question about the fans wanting Steve Kean to be sacked:-

To me it looks like something is seriously amiss at Blackburn Rovers, akin to what certain members on here have been alluding to I guess, as he does on the face of it look to be totally untouchable for some murky reason...

If he can't be removed from Venky's employ, why can they not do what other major companies do and "promote" him sideways or upwards to another role, for instance overseeing the India Academy project he mentions in the podcast interview, I think he would be ideally suited for this type of role as his credentials as a coach seem of a quite high standard.

Do I get a pat on the back for being proven right all along, or am I a 'trembler'?

I and many others stated the appointment of Kean would be an abject failure and the experiment would not work. Not rocket science in anyway and I don't expect any increased credence and credibility on here.

In fact it was so blatantly obvious I am amazed at all those fans that could not grasp it and then am even more amazed the lights still did not come on as we plummeted down the league.

Amusing watching all the 'GHMT' fans backtracking.

'Give Him More Time'.

What you mean those people who said we needed a proper manager and have proven to be right?

Comical Ali?!

He obviously still has to go, but he won't.

This could be the perfect swansong for Kean. Before we get an actual manager in.

Kean out. 3 wins in 19 games is not good enough. One game against a team who shipped 8 in the last away game - with perhaps some very fortunate luck playing a part for us to say the least - will not change that.

The thing is, it's completely in Kean's hands - get results and you'll stay in a job, don't and you'll be sacked.

If he'd had more results like today in the last 9 months, then there would be no protests, no petitions and no pressure.

Learn from your mistakes Kean, admit you're still learning and know when to be realistic about the situation and we might start making progress.

I know our record since Steve Kean took over stinks quite frankly..But after the events of today, starting with his openness and the way he came over on the Podcast. The commitment and camaraderie shown on the pitch by the players after each goal and at the end and great to see the owners joy at the final whistle... I've now changed my vote, I for one am prepared to give him more time.

An emotional roller coaster of a day the match watched in a German Ice Cream Parlour on Sky de, accompanied by cheap Bit-burger... COYB

Great result today but overall form will need to change drastically for me to change my opinion of him....one swallow doth not a summer make!

The fact that Rao's were there, we were entertaining, we won, we look youthful and gave 100%

This will have convinced Rao's that Kean is the right man more then ever. In fact I think Rao was holding his fist up, hugging his brother and pointing the Kean, at one point Kean pointed back almost saying "I did this for you".

They were very proud.

So Kean won, everyone has to get off his back for a week whether we think he is a clown ay interviews (which he is) or not.

Have seen Kean's interview on Beeb and just confirms my belief that he is one arrogant, smug, slimey b@st@rd.

His record over 26 PL games will not guarantee us PL football ongoing.

Unfortunately, today's fortunate win will have bought him some more time, however, we may well look in a sorry state after the next few matches: Toon away, City home, QPR away, Spurs home, Norwich away and Chelsea home. Could see us losing the lot.

Home attendances this season under Kean down by over 6,000 on a like for like basis - a massive 9%.

The nightmare and delusion continues.

Well I think the title of this thread was answered today, quite clearly it is a minority that want Kean out.

Given the coverage the protest got it would be fair to say that numbers represented accurately what percentage are against Kean.

Well done to all involved, while I'm happy with the result Kean will need a few more in the coming weeks to convince me he is the man to manage this club.

Kean has to keep WINNING games and produce results and move us up the league into the top 10 this season. If he does, then the fans will support him. If doesn't then he has to go. I judge Kean on his managerial record and results as any other manager should be!

I didn;t like Kean comments about the people who march not supporting the team during today game because everybody did and always will!!! ROVERS TILL WE DIE!!!

great win today. still think we can improve as defensivly for me. Still need midfielders to track full back and attacking mifielders runs forward today.

Not true. Unless you believe ten thousand people were going to be marching down Bolton Road at 11am?! Or as 1% marched, it is 1% that wanted him out.

Bit literal that ada, and disingenous by Kean, but that's our Steve.

For me, the protest could be a good thing for all concerned. Lets face it, if we had lost today and the next two games, I still doubt he would have gone, however, it makes it clear that Rovers fans are not just a placid bunch that will take poor result after poor result and swallow BS from the manager.
