  1. 1. Should Steve Kean be sacked

Recommended Posts

Why do people give such a toss about interviews?

From Sam's "expert" interview which was repeated by various numpties on here every day until his dismissal, to people getting optimistic about Kean because he gave a good presser, to everyone hanging on his every word and changing opinions based on his interviews.

All that matters are actions and results, not words.

If that is the case, why is he still in the job?

what a brilliant question:

"You say you have a healthy budget but you spent less then you sold, fans felt mislead"

Kean was totally stunned, couldn't answer it, first time he seemed totally floored.

Exactly the question that needed to be asked.

Whoever that old man was well done, it really was a question that needed asking and great point.

Should have been made in BFRCS interview.

Thank you old man.

Overall great interview, Kean came off VERY WELL I thought, some really tough questions.

Yeah, he tried to give his best politician's answer about the budget.

Maybe he'll learn that experience and kept schtum in future and take Venky's promises with a pinch of salt.

Also, interesting that Rochina has a £25m release clause.

It's all down to the freedom of movement between EU countries.

there will be a czeck in the male next

Just heard a short clip from an interview with Andy Bayes, which I guess is from tonight's show. He's the most arrogant guy and there we have yet more proof that he's just a liar and full of himself.

Words to this effect:

I'm not under pressure. I've no need to be under pressure. I talk to fans in Blackburn and they are

all supportive, they are all positive. If 200 people want to march, then that's OK as long as they get behind the team on the ground.

Have you listened to the full hour long interview which is linked on the Radio Lancashire thread? I think you should before taking a 5 second soundbite to suit your already well known views.

I think this is a later interview which was bradsact on Radio Lancs tonight.

No roverzee, I didn't take a soundbite. I listened to the clip which was broadcast on Radio Lancs yesterday afternoon and posted what I had heard, while driving the car, on here.

Someone at Radio Lancs had obviously taken note of his words there, otherwise they wouldn't have used them as an advert for the show. If you have a problem with that, you should adress it to Radio Lancs, not me.

It's far too early for him to say we have now 'turned the corner' and that the fans who were unhappy with his management have now been won over. I can only speak for myself in saying that it's going to take more than a 'fortuitous' win over Arsenal to win me and I imagine many others over.

There are a lot of games being played at the moment between Venky's and Steve Kean - aimed at the fans.

'I Grew up in a very tough part of the east end of Glasgow.

He just can't help himself, can he? He was actually brought up in Cumbernauld which isnt even in Glasgow...

I have never known a PR offensive like it.

He can't help himself or you can't? These are the types of tedious reasons for disliking him and passing uninformed judgement that I was on about the other day. Cumbernauld was established to put the rough necks from an over populated Glasgow into housing, it is an Eastern district so to speak of Glasgow. If you think Blackburn and Burnley have some rough areas, you want to book yourself for a summer holiday up there but I can assure you from my time working up in that neck of the woods that it is a violence and drug ridden shitehole.

I'm sick of this over emphasis on PR from the anti-Kean brigade. It's such a buzz word amongst you (especially on the LET site!!) In terms of a PR offensive I think the anti-kean internet army are by far the worse as you/they put a negative spin on every single thing that is said by or about the man. I didn't particulary like him, due to the pisspoor results we were getting, but I now want to distance myself so far from the uninformed but self proclaimed "In The Know" conspiracy theorists that I am actually warming to the fella due to him taking crap off an absolute minority and consistently smiling through it and I can see potential and progress in the team. What is absolutely blatant to me that the organisers of the protest and the negativity conspirators are fantastic at having or trying to force an opinion and have a bit of a fan club going on that they have a few subscribers for their nonsense...but unlike Kean when questioned or doubted, they absolutely crumble under criticism or embarassment and evolve their reasons for negativity (is it the manager? The owners? Some of the owners? Jerome Anderson? Bank loans? Kean's "real" dark involvement? Gangsters? Lizard people?).

Since the protesters ended up with a full on omelette on their faces due to the daft premature timing, pathetic chanting, drink driving print outs, racist cameraman, and the subsequent Rovers victory - they have shown nothing but excuses, name calling, immature phone-in rants, an inability to make simple estimations of numbers and blocking/ignoring people who don't buy into their point of view. If you are anti-kean, fair enough but I think you should remove your blinkers and see there actually are many positives about the club, the manager sings the club's praise (unlike many so called "supporters" of the club) so please quit hating him for the sake of it because it absolutely weakens your arguement and narrow point of view.

I've been writing in a journal every night for 12 or 13 years.

Bless his little cottons.

I think he needs to shut up for a while now.

Yes, we beat Arsenal, which is always an achievement, but I think he's milked it for long enough now.

He has been and will continue to be judged on results over a sustained period - and over the 9/10 months he's been here, they've been record-breakingly bad.

This isn't opinion, it's fact.

When you've had a couple of seasons of finishing top-10 and maybe a cup win, then you can big yourself up all you like, but after one win in five league games, you need to keep your head down and concentrate on doing your job properly.

Now now touchy. Don't think Kean lying about where he was brought up is a reason for me getting a rant from yourself.

I have said repeatedly over the last week, that Kean is the manager and he isnt going anywhere, so I'm getting behind him. Does that mean he is now untouchable and I can't flag up his BS?

Cumbernauld IS NOT in Glasgow, it is most certainly not in the 'east end', which is where Celtic Park is situated and around 10 miles from Cumbernauld.

Pedro , you can like him all you want but the fact is he is a slimy deceitful liar. Don't know how you was brought up but I was taught not to trust people who tell lies!

Cumbernauld spent many a happy night in the premier inn and it's pub. Coached some champions at the sports centre there and saying it's in Glasgow is like saying rovers play in Manchester!

still not convinced about him, but willing to give him today to produce a result, if we get hammered then my faith in him is gone for good.

Why? He's proved over the course of his reign that he's a terrible terrible Manager.

One result today wouldn't have proved otherwise.

No doubt when we'll win next though he'll "deserve more time".

I can't even be bothered arguing with those that support him anymore. He's taking our club down, that's the truth of it, and our owners will never sack him.
