  1. 1. Should Steve Kean be sacked

Recommended Posts

Spot on.

Too much emphasis is being directed at Kean when the real culprits are the Venky's.

very good point.

people are tiptoeing around the venkys lately because we know if we pee them off theres nobody else going to buy us(nobody any better anyway), but they continue to support a manager that is clearly inadequate and is weakening the club week by week, so i think they should be made publicly aware the fans are not happy with them(don't want the venksters to go, just get this loser Kean out).

Kean's was also saying we will continue to attack teams which could mean we are more likely to concede goals.

The man is ridiculous. Did he say "continue to attack"? We barely troubled Newcastle yesterday. In fact we haven't created many good chances all season.

have we ever had such a conclusive poll as this latest one? out of 109 votes, 103 want him sacked, i think that says it all.

haven't seem many of the Kean supporters on here since Newcastle defeat though ,the really pro Kean fans wait in the wings.

The poll normally reaches 500 plus.

We all know that Aggy.

Replacing Kean is the only feasible way we currently have, of saving this season. Longer term, Venky's have to sort themselves out. There is no way of replacing Venky's, but there is a way of replacing Kean.

the players arnt even in good shape, picking up injuries to easily, at least kean has his excuse for the next few weeks with givet, dann, salgado injured.

Yes, it is quite apparent that he is already preparing his excuses for next week's defeat (annihilation? massacre?). His post match interview will be something on the lines of...

"I have never been one to make injuries an excuse, but today we had 75% of our established back four missing."

Trouble is Steve that the majority of us can see right through your bull****!

All those criticising Glen and the protesters after the Arsenal win should be looking at themselves long and hard - you're all partially to blame for this being allowed to continue.

Sometimes, the truth is harsh. Those wanting to give Kean more time have contributed, in however small a way, to our chances of relegation.

They should take a long, hard look at themselves.

Is there anything more that those supporters, who can see the writing on the wall and really care, can do to force Kean out ?

Yes there is........At the next home game an Ewood Park that is COMPLETELY empty of any home fans will send a mesage that is so loud and clear to the whole world of football that there will be a huge reaction from the media and if the ownwers are stupid enough to ignore that then there really will be no hope at all for any of us that love and care for the Rovers. I know it will be very hard to organise and probably impossible, but it would surely do the trick.

Also I appreciate that this suggestion has neen made by another poster on another thread, and I have already said that I will not be there for the City match myself anyway because of other more pressing commitments, but none of that alters the fact that for whichever match it could be organised I would stay away ( and before anybody asks...yes I AM a S/T holder)

I talked to Venky's PR earlier this morning, for the first time ever was told that "manager is judged on results and last night it was a bad result", normally all I get is "Kean retains the support of the owners".

That said I don't see Kean getting sacked, he will be incharge for the Man City game, I suppose if we get battered by City and the crowd turn against Kean and the owners are there to see it then possibly but as I said last week the Arsenal result has secured Kean's job for the foreseeable future.

Whoever is advising him on PR needs sacking, no way should he have done all those interviews last week, he needed to show a little less arrogance (although I can accept the he was hyped after the week he had gone through) and should've just talked to one media outlet rather than this tour that he went on. I suspect those interviews weren't even aimed at Rovers fans, it was Kean's attempt to talk to the national press who had picked up all the negative feeling from Rovers fans prior to the Arsenal game and to put his positivity across to them. The problem is having done that, he now needed to build upon the Arsenal game, but didn't, instead Rovers went backwards.

The pressure will now be on again next Saturday against a superb Man City side but still can't see him getting sacked.
