And it's back up to 96%

Fickle doesn't even begin to describe it.

With you there Matty! I assume that, if a miracle occurred and we somehow beat City, loads of people would change their vote to give him more time. Like yourself, I assume, I've voted "sack him now" every poll there's been and will not change.

The reason is that he might get a good result every now and then but he's now had 26 games, two thirds of a season, and his ratio of points to games is below a point a game!

He is "leading" us to disaster and I can't understand how anyone can't see it. The only good part of him is his desire to play attractive football. However we don't very often as the games against Villa,Wolves,Newcastle, Fulham all show. Not only that we

lose as well-----6 played/4 losses--------all games where points were possible, even likely, were lost. He hasn't assembled the players needed to achieve his vision, has no clue about organising them, his PR is the worst I've ever known and consequently he is the most hated manager we've had in my lifetime.

Please someone, get this total loser out before our club is completely ruined.

Many (myself included) voted for 'More time' last week as there was no way in hell a manager is going to be sacked on the back of beating Arsenal.

Nothing to do with people thinking he was suddenly good enough.

I voted to give him more time based on the areas in which he has shown promise (more attractive football, bringing young players through etc). I think he deserves at least a few more games with his own team before we can say he's a complete no hoper and replace him with one of the 'endless' list of quality managers eager to come to our club under our owners. He has the backing of the players and owners which is vital.

I think the fact that poll isn't anonymous makes people very wary to go against the strong opinion on here and vote to back him.

well that makes a mockery of the vote then

the poll is for an opinion on "do you think he should be sacked"

not an opinion on "will he be sacked"

wether there was no way he was going to be sacked after beating the arse is irelevant, vote on your convictions, he is not a football manager, why give him more time?

I thought the idea was to vote on whether you want him sacked, - not on whether you think he will be sacked?

I'll be honest, i'm just hoping things improve simply because I just can't imagine anyone wanting the job at the moment and we could end up in a worse situation than we're already in. Who do people expect to get as a replacement??? and would Hoilett or anyone else want to sign a long term contracts then?

readsi, what attractive football? its hardly any better than under sam, he has had plenty of time to get HIS team together and so far hasnt, all these players are HIS team, he hasnt all of a sudden inherited them out of nowhere, sick of people making excuses for him, people are allowed their opinion sure but for me its unjustified.

as for the remark that people are voting sack because they dont want to go against the tide of opinion is bullocks, everyone has their own views and arent going to be disuaded on a messageboard, most people have voted sack because they can see with their own eyes that he aint up to the job.

Fair enough. It's your view and you are perfectly entitled to express it.

After the anger of yesterday, it is now obvious that we, as Rovers fans, must stick together and stop arguing amongst ourselves. Myself as much as anyone else. We are now on our third manager since Hughes and all three have utterly divided our support. Time for us to back each other up instead of squabbling.

The football under Sam wasn't great, but it was far superior to what we're seeing now.

The football is miles better than the negative hoofball we had to endure under Sam this season - although we were still hoofing it up right until the end of last season.

He has only really had the last 3 games with his own full squad assembled, from which we've gotten 4 points from 2 tricky away games and Arsenal at home. You can argue that we've had a touch of fortune, but we had dire luck against Everton. We have serious issues at the moment, but there are glimmers of hope.

I think people don't really want to be seen to openly disagree with the majority, especially when people come out (not you roverandout) and openly have a pop at people who vote back.

The football under Sam wasn't great, but it was far superior to what we're seeing now.

I said it's more attractive now - not necessarily more effective.

ok fair enough readsi, wasnt me who gave u the minus, by the way but i still dont agree with some of your points, still think people vote with their own instincts, also dont agree theres a glimmer of hope because i can only see a long, dark tunnel ahead.

also readsi, i dont see any great football being played, we cant keep possesion long enough at times, to do so.

Samba article illustrates just how poor we are, and the problems are much deeper as many suspect they know, despite all the bullsh1t from Kean:

SAID THE WANT AWAY CAPTAIN WHO ALMOST SLIPPED BA A LENGTH AS HE LEFT THE PITCH AFTER GIVING US A SEEING TO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Same old same old on Saturday. Kean and his useless pals were trounced in yet another battle of wits with what most would have forecasted a close rival prior to the start of the season. No doubt Newcastle have started well but let's not kid ourselves that they're not eminently beatable opponents. Valiant defeat would have been acceptable, but Kean's yellow-bellied surrender (amply underlined by his Grella on for Yakubu damage limitation substitution) really was beyond the pale and typically our impressive run at St. James' has come to an end on his watch.

In fact, not since that witless tactical dunce Ince was found wanting on the touchline at Wigan have I had so little faith in those barking orders from the Rovers dug-out. What a travesty that we're lumbered with the current mongrel's from the Kentaro Kennel until Despot Desai's seemingly impermeable bubble of downright ignorance (probably belatedly) bursts.

After the nail-biting climax at Wolves last season somebody really should have reminded Kean of the doctrine of Sbragia - the admirably magnanimous COACH that knew he simply lacked the wherewithall to help Sunderland realise their ambitions. Kean and co. though clearly lack the decency to concede their glaring inadequacies, thought better to throw what was - in the grand scheme of things - a failure fete that day at the Molineux and now duly lie beneath an avalanche of opprobrium; not nearly as substantial as the list of clubs Rovers lie beneath in the League table though...

Rare "triumphs" over supposed heavy-weights at their lowest ebb do little to improve the "management's" suitability for the extremely priviliged roles they currently fill. The truth's tell us that Kean and the equally cack Jensen have consistently relinquished precious points to our rivals in the table and "Fortress Ewood" is no more. The foundations of the perfectly secure side they inherited have been discarded recklessly and they have predictably reaped what they sowed ever since.

Kean can blather all he likes about the "excellence" of his tenure, how the owners believe in him and that he has the backing of "99%" of the support. But his crap stats speak volumes no amount of his inane blabbering ever could: 26 Premier League points from a possible 81 is a horrible return and no end of spin can even begin to camouflage just how bad a management team he and Jensen are.

If the equally inept Venky's didn't hold him in such head-scratchingly high esteem, Kean and his hopeless backroom mob would have been frog-marched from the club before he could utter that immortal mis-nomer ... "positive".

Quite simply, he and his tactically impaired band of merrimen are robbing a living out of this once proud football club.

After Saturday I now reside firmly in the get rid of this joker NOW camp. I was all for giving him time but I have seen ENOUGH. I had to watch a very poor internet transmission of the game so maybe our horrible play was exaggerated by that. I saw us play like kids, five men around the ball at one time I have not seen playing like that since I was coaching the six year olds.

We are headless chickens, totally, no one seems to know what their responsibilities are, like 11 individuals with no team unity. The only thing could save Kean IMHO is a top top no 2 to help him out. I don't think Jensen is worth squat either. Both are two emotionless deer in the headlights coaches on the sidelines. I watch them and have flashbacks of Wally with the brolly

The wally with the brolly would be infinitely preferable right now....

A few points now the dust has settled:

-Rolo post is an excellent summary and starts to persuade me of need for a change

-Wigan Away did it for Ince. QPR Away is the vital one now for steve kean.

-26 points out of 81 is very poor BUT its this season that counts

-with Citeh coming next when would we have been slightly confident about this one? They are now a juggernaut.

-after QPR away we have 13 days without a match. That is the 'window'BUT 3 points from those 2 matches will save him again.

MOST important thing is we have to stay together -the Club is always more important than any one person.
