If/when it goes pear shaped against city on Saturday, you would like to think that it will be the final straw for the fans, even the more patient ones, I can see it being a rather hostile atmosphere towards kean if it goes wrong.

Whether or not a thrashing will be enough to force venkeys hand is another matter entirely, I just can't see how they can carry on defending him, his position is becoming untenable.

as somebody correctly said on here yesterday, we will not get thousands marching, but we can get thousands singing "stand up if you want kean sacked" or "you dont know what your doing" inside the ground should we collapse (which i think we will) against man city at the weekend.

thousands want kean gone, however only hundreds publicly showed they did, so Venky's weren't unduly concerned. WE MUST SPEAK IN THOUSANDS AS ONE VOICE.

Just a quick one, you have voted give him more time, but call for mass chants for him to be removed......

Do you still want to give him more time?

glen, what are your plans then for some kind of protest at the man city game? are you staying behind? will others follow suit?

The plan is to watch the game as Normal, and if things don't look rosie i.e we are getting tonked

1. Spontaneous chanting for Keans removal

2. all fans who want him removing to remain seated at full-time and to saty for at least 20 minutes after the game calling for his head.

3. If we are removed from ground then it appears Protestors will be heading to the Jack-Walker stand main entrance and Chanting outside there.

This is what most I have spoke to want to do, and this is what has been set up on the facebook group.

Its pointless taking another bad result on the chin, so I expect a very hostile atmosphere against City

My apologies Mark, I mis-read poll, it says Matty1875, similar names

you had me double checking lol , i would have been mortified if i had accidentally clicked the wrong one lol.

i have many reasons for wanting this man sacked, as i said to you over facebook the other day Glen, i will actively help in anyway possible.

p.s just noticed my admin status on the event page, i shall mass invite shortly pal.

I've voted to give him more time and by that I mean the next 4 games.

I think we'll be able to see the level of fight and character in the team in the home games against City and Spurs. Wins are unlikely but if there's no effort or heart either it will be telling. The away games agaisnt QPR and Norwich are ones we really should be looking to win if we are to be a top 10 side as Kean has clearly stated. If we don't get at least 4 points from these two games then what's the point carrying on with a manager who is clearly not living up to his promises.

I appreciate why so many fans on here want to sack Kean now but I was for giving Kean more time before and after the Arsenal game so 1 bad performance away at Newcastle is not enough to change my mind YET.

However I think the next 4 games will really show us where we are as a team and 10 games of a season along with last years record is more than enough time to judge your manager.

My worry is that Venkys are so blinkered with Kean that they won't be lining up potential replacements if/when things continue to go badly. We'll be left even more rudderless than we already are if they do end up having to sack him and a further 4 or 5 games without a replacement could see us cut adrift in the relegation zone.

I am in favour of any protest if things are going very badly against City. At least you are planning to do it properly this time rather than a pointless march. I think you should give the players a chance first though and only start chanting against the manager if we are 2 or more goals down, we still should be getting behind the team if they are putting the effort in.

just hope people start to be more vocal on saturday showing their disconent WHEN we lose, otherwise nothing will happen, i will be singing 'kean out' all through the match, no matter what the score is, if by some miracle we snatch something, we cant let that hide the fact that kean isnt up to the job, will just mask his many shortcomings ie the arsenal game.

I would hope that nobody would chant against Kean while we had any prospect of winning. Not only does it lessen our slim chances of getting some points - but it would potentially lessen the anti-Kean sentiment if we did get something from the game.

The time to protest (if there is to be one) is post the match - if we get beat.

For me I hope that the owners (as business people) start to look at the numbers rather than listen to Kean's spiel - his record actually speaks for itself - at some point they will realise that his current points to game ratio will only lead to one thing and that is certain relegation and the loss of millions for them and the club.

Having said all that - I hope we beat City and then go on a run that see us looking at the top half of the table rather than pondering whether we can get to 40 points or not. I just can't see it though - Kean doesn't seem able to put out a team that can defend or play for 90 minutes (even in games we have done well, it has only been in patches).

How can you write "1 bad performance"? Does your memory only last a week? Incredible.

A very sensible post - it will never catch on you know

Personally I think the City match is key - another lack-lustre tactically inept performance and he should go straight away - giving the new manager a couple of weeks to bed in. I share your fears about Venky's having somebody lined up to replace him though.

Don't pat yourself on the back. You're not among a tiny minority for nothing.

No offence KMH but after reading your post I don't think you really understand football.

No, the City match isn't key. Under Hughes and Allardyce we'd have every chance of getting beaten senseless too - if it happens under Kean too it doesn't tell us that much.

The key games were against the likes of Newcastle, Wolves, Everton and Villa.

KMH isn't being sensible, he's being utterly utterly short sighted. The "one bad performance against Newcastle" highlights this.

I like how those who are carrying on voting to give Kean more time are being painted as "sensible", when they're just taking an extraordinarily long time to reach a conclusion most of us could see coming from last December.

I was all for giving him time, let him "bed" his new players in, but, really nothing has changed from last season. If there was any indication that things could change, then I'd say keep him. Things haven't changed.

There's no heart, no commitment, no structure, and no defence; and more importantly, no managerial leadership.

The season was always likely to start this way. Surely everyone could see this coming? Sure, Kean could have done well after a pre season under his belt, just like Jason Roberts could score a hat trick against City, but by far the most likely outcome was that he'd continue his poor managerial record into this season.

Crucially, by giving Kean more time, it has meant his eventual replacement will be working with someone else's team and will be hamstrung by low morale and a poor points tally. They'll have far less time to save Rovers. Kean never deserved the chance to manage Blackburn Rovers and certainly didn't deserve more time after almost getting us relegated this season. So why were some people so adamant we should give it him?

Those who were adamant that Kean should be given more time often painted themselves as the voice of reason when they were anything but.

Ok - IMO City match is key because if we get soundly beaten it may force our owners hands. A little like getting beat 7-1 by United would have influenced their decisions around Sam (though obviously rumour has it that there was far more at work on that one). There is also a two week gap before the next match.

The key games - I agree - but you could argue over many things - injuries for Wolves and Villa - unlucky against Everton. Just plain poor against Newcastle. However - if we sacked managers based on away record Sam would have been sacked prior to the Venky's eventually doing it.

"one bad performance" - Everton - fair performance, Arsenal - fair performance - Orient - fair performance, Newcastle - poor performance. Things had been improving - even under Sam we had similar runs.

IMO he should probably go - but I don't think you can have a go at people just because they think he should have more time. I can appreciate where they are coming from - personally I just don't feel he will sort out the basic tactical problems within the team no matter how much time he is given - and that is my biggest concern.

In a nutshell.

For me it is hard to understand why one fortunate win against Arsenal convinced many of our fans that Kean deserves more time and that everything with the team and squad is heading in the right direction.

Cherry picking matches to decide on his suitability is laughable. If actually using evidence from ALL games to decide on whether Kean should stay or go then these very same fans would have wanted rid ages ago.
