  1. 1. Should Steve Kean be sacked

Recommended Posts

Wow, yet more guff from Kean post match, never heard some of the drivel he comes out with, feel sorry in a sense because he clearly is so much out of his depth as a manager.

What more is there to say, surely he has to go now.....

Next step is vital, either an assistant is hired or a manager is fired.

Should an assistant come in it would be an obvious sign of backing.

Just watched the Kean match preview on rovers world, and I can't believe what I'm hearing, he wants a new no.2 who will carry on the progress they have made. It's beyond belief, I am the most non violent person you will meet but I really hope I don't ever bump into him a pub.

Apologies for this, bubble [i'm trawling the Board after the defeat by Citeh]; but what would you do? Spike his drink properly? ;)

The nearest comparison i can think of is Jim Iley,he took over from Jim Smith.

He lasted a couple of months,we had a player on loan from Stoke City called John Gregory scored a few goals and looked very good but would not sign permanant because of the manager and went elsewhere pretty quick.

Players were not happy the fans certainly were not happy, datewise about 1979.

1979 it was, wdbr. Not only would David Gregory not join us, he chose a Division 3 outfit called Bury in preference to us!!

After a [yet another] particularly unsatisfactory home game, an exiled Rovers fan in London [you know who you are, Bernard!] suggested to me that we ought have an organization called G.R.O.I.N. It stood for Get Rid Of Iley Now! I went onto the 3-day market where there was a badge-making stall and had a badge made which said just that.

4 days later, he'd been sacked; how simple it was in the pre-Internet era! :D

If he gets another assistant and we continue to lose then what? The only way for me (but baring in mind I have common sense) would be to appoint MON as director of football and promote and inhouse coach to assistant, if results stay the same Kean can get the boot MON can take over with his own assistant and the no 2 can go back to his own job as coach.

If he gets to choose his own no 2 we all know it wont make any difference then there will be 2 people to fire, unless Venky's then employ the no 2 as manager.........

Were ###### basically are'nt we :(

Kean said he will battle the players corner following the protests, the protest is at you, spanner!

I couldn't believe it when I heard that either.

The man is deluded beyond belief.

Sounds like he thinks the song "you're getting sacked in the morning" was being sung at the players and the kean out banners were aimed at Jake Kean.

A complete farce, we are the biggest joke in football at the moment.

Sort it out now venkys and do the one thing that this club needs desperately - SACK KEAN NOW.!!!!!!

Andy Cryer on Talksport just now - "You can't help but feel sorry for Steve Kean" ???????

Ray Houghton - "I can't understand why the fans are calling for his head when he managed to keep them up last season when it looked like they were doomed"

Cryer was basically saying it was all Venky's fault - hence we should really feel sorry for Kean.

Talksport are pathetic tbh they pride themselves on being controversial and say things to wind people up just to get people to ring in, I listen to it sometimes because Hawksby and Jacobs crack me up but the guy who is with Gough is a total idiot, he just tries to say the most controversial things he possibly can even though he knows he is blantantly wrong.

I would be amazed if any of the presenters on there could name 11 Rovers players, they are london based and that is all they care about.

It's almost 3 hours since the game and I'm still seething.

The spineless, guttless, pathetic excuse of a man which we find as our manager has really misunderstood the situation.

Not once today did he venture to the touchline.

Goodwillie for gods sake on the right !!! Don't understand?

N'zonzi.... Well he is to busy thinking of his dj set tonight at a Manchester club to be arsed with us!!

Lowe has been thrown to the lions.

We watched City play football for the first 45 mins and had our first shot at home way after 60 mins!!!!

The argument of City spending millions does not wash, for years we have punched above our Weight at home and have enjoyed great unexpected results.

For the first time since I can remember we had suits fighting in the Jack Walker upper, Jesus Jack how you must be spinning.

Fans turning on each other, players wandering round the pitch not knowing plan A never mind plan B.

Tonight Rovers are breaking my heart.....

Kean added: "A couple of weeks ago it was very buoyant dressing room. Obviously we're disappointed with the manner of the goals because I felt in the first half our game plan was working well.

"A couple of weeks ago we played Arsenal and got a fantastic result and most of the fans went home very, very happy. We've lost today and the fans are not happy, nor are the players, nor am I.

Jeez...just how long was he expecting to dine out on that one victory?

Even if we, somehow, fortuitously win the next game, and with our defence we'll probably need another couple of own goals, we will still be on 7 points from 8 games, and that is still certain relegation form, never mind anywhere near good enough to reach 40 points.

The man is so far out of his depth it would be hilarious if we weren't Rovers fans.

Kean said - ''If the fans want to vent their anger at me I would rather they vent it at me than at the team, I have told the lads that I’ll battle their corner, they’re my players. Even the ones that I didn’t bring to the club I have given them new contracts and I’ll take the criticism on my shoulders and take it away from them.''

This non-person is insane. He thinks that he can kid people that the protest was against the players and not him.

The only idiots who will fall for that are VENKYS
