I have talked to Venky's PR this morning and can report that the owners were concerned about the performance and fan reaction yesterday BUT according to my contact Mrs D is not yet ready to sack Kean. Her thinking is that Rovers are part of a group of clubs who are within a couple of points of each other and therefore is willing to give Kean more time to get this right, she is the key decision maker and is not listening to any outside people after what happened with Kentaro/SEM.It appears that the only person who could influence her decision is Paul Hunt, she trusts and values his opinion.

I told my contact to pass the message back up the line that by continuing to back Kean they are risking a full out fan revolt and some fans are just one step away from moving from Kean out to Venky's out.

Easy to say in hindsight, but Mrs D, had within the club a chairman well respected within the game and a manager capable of working on a shoe string budget, who would have guided her and her brothers through the transition period as they came to understand the workings of the premiership.

Whilst I was not a big fan of Sams football style, it was ideal for size and finances of a club like Rovers and in JW she had the experience of a man who had kept the club running on minimal investment.

Alan, that first paragraph was east to say with foresight...!

It's a shame we don't have anyone with the resource / time / material to put together a YouTube clips from Kean's pressers and interviews.

Lampoon his spin and nonsense, and include a few of his sneers and laughing periodically. Add in a few screenshots with stats from his reign and an "appropriate" soundtrack. Bob's your mother's brother.

It would go viral very quickly and hang him with his own words.

Kamy's info backs the alternative info I heard yesterday that Blackburn have to "adrift at the bottom before Kean will be sacked"

So she obviously doesn't have a clue how difficult it is to claw your way from the relegation zone :angry2:

Count me as one of yours now.

My philosophy has been to give the manager time- be patient. My patience has petered out.

Wonderful. When can we expect you to change your vote?

Per the "view" selection above the Give Him More Time and/or Pro Kean and/or Anti-Rovers crowd are:

s_hart8, brightonrover, Tony Diamond Inc, super_arran, Jackson, Sanny, rover460, madon, WaKKo-, TAFKAP, jonv, harryl, Puffsan, mhead, Flatback, eddiewac, chocky, Weshtery, simon boswell, waggy, Kennys Magic Hat, dubdubdub, only2garners, dopper69, Carlos090, mrtomkiss

Isn't TAFKAP an admitted Burnley fan? If so, gives a very clear idea of what course of action he (and other anti-Rovers) thinks is least beneficial to the Rovers.

I have the resources but not the time. Busy days for me at the moment. If he's still in a job by Christmas though, I may need to spend a few days chopping something together.

TAFKAP is Preston isn't he? Looking at that list, it's like a rogues gallery of the people who spout utter gash on here (not all of them).

Kamy, did Venky's PR person say how the owners reaction to the majority of fans chanting for 'Kean Out'???

I really hope that Mrs D spoke to Paul Hunt yeaterday after the game and Paul Hunt told how about what the fans were saying and how many turn on Kean.

I just hope that Mrs D does the right think and sack him Please.

If he's still Rovers manager at Christmas, fans will be chopping up lots of things.

Season tickets and limbs spring to mind!

Won't be long then!

Hang on! Wasn't Mrs Desai the one who said "why wait?"? If its good enough for Sam its certainly good enough for the weasel.

What the **** was Shearer talkin' about last night?

'Kean was the right man six games ago...'

'You don't become a bad manager overnight...'

I can't believe that clown is actually paid for his 'insight'.

That's not too far away.

Looking at our run in that will likely be achieved even before the hectic christmas period.

Can't think of many sides that have been at the bottom going into January and have managed to survive. Once you get cut adrift and the players are demoralised it's hard to get some winning momentum going.

Why put the club through it? Sack Kean now, conduct a proper managerial search and interview process and we stand a chance of surviving.

I have just watched 'Sunday supplement' and for the first time EVER I agreed with everything the hacks said about our situation:

Kean...a coach, awful record under his tenure, his appointment was terrible.

Venky's..... simply dont know what they are doing.

It appears matters are finally dawning on the media what we fans have known for months!

Qoute from Kean:

He later added: "If the fans want to vent their frustration I'd rather they vent it at me than the team."

You horrible little man Kean, trying to shift blame away from yourself onto the team...you know damn well who the protests are aimed at!! :angry2::angry2:

Make no mistake Roverites of the huge battle we ALL face to save our club now..the writing is on the wall fellow blues.

I watch it and thought they were spot on with their views. Even Oliver Holt spoke sense for one with saying Kean is record is awful.

he has only won 3 games in last 21 games. totally and utterly unacceptable.

Typical of the bland punditry that MotD peddles.

Can any of our members in the Irish Republic tell us what was said about us on the RTÉ equivalent last night? They usually tell it like it is, don't they?

couldn't be more right, 1 more poor result and it will be venkys out for sure by most of the fans, all the Kean out fans are already turning there angst toward venkys due to there blind support of Kean, there condescending pr stunts and poorly timed team trip to India(what if a player gets injured in the pointless game against pune!!, really not worth the risk!!).

What disturbs me more than anything and is one of the worst scenarios Ive every seen at ewood is how the fans seem to be split right down the middle and have started turning against each other over there support of Kean and I'm not just talking harmless banter I'm talking fiery arguments and physical threats toward each other, its disgusting and Ive never seen anything like it ever even at other clubs, and it will get worse for a long as Kean's in charge. Its too far gone now to keep giving him more time, the damage Kean's caused of the pitch between fans can only be healed by bringing in a respected manager that ALL the fans can get behind.

i emphasize with Kean, it must be making his personal live a nightmare, but i cant sympathies with him because most of it is his own making and can only be resolved now by him resigning or taking a different role at the club, hes just not a manager.

regards

David
