Hughesy
So Rovers complete thier 4th fixture of the 2011-12 season, a frustrating game in which Rovers picked up the 1st point of the season but saw Hoilett carried away on a stretch - who was your Man of the Match for the live Sky game? Will it be Rochina for his superb strike in the 1st half? Dann in his 1st display? Robbo who made a couple of very good saves? Or someone else? super_arran
I'd like to know who voted for Hoilett.... Lazy was a complement for him today
Backroom DE. Posted September 11, 2011 Backroom Share Posted September 11, 2011 Difficult to choose but Robbo for me - didn't put a foot wrong all game. Dann had a good performance but that stray pass could have been more costly against a better team. Rochina's goal was fantastic but other than that he didn't do too much. Hughesy
Iv gone for Rochina, think he did well - had a quiet spell for around 20 mins but he seemed to be everywhere. If he can add abit more upper body strength and beef up abit then this lad will become a top player for us. Superb goal, and showed why Fergie rates him highly. Pedro
Great goal by Rochina and a good through ball early on but I still feel he's a greedy b'stardo who holds onto the ball too long. Definitely one for the future if someone can get him to pass as a first or second resort, rather than a last.
chris
I voted Robbo becasue I couldn't pick anyone, I would have gone givet on the second half alone. Maybe Rochina although this guy has serious liabilities that he can only cover up by scoring. Maybe Dann except of the suicide tackle. Poor game. chaddyrovers
I voted for Dann. Though he was very good today considering he hasn't played for 7 months. He was winning headers every time and organising the defence in Samba absent! Robinson was a very close to getting my vote. really a toss up between both players tbf. He is one of the best keeper in PL for sure.

magicalmortensleftpeg
Voted for Dann - Our best defender all match by far. Kept us in it second half. Looked composed and reliable. Really impressed that we got him. - Rochina - looked very bright in the first half but faded in the second before the substitution. Glad to see him start and he definitely made an impact. Great technical ability. - Hoilett - I dont think he was lazy. I just thought he looked knackered after 70 mins. He was our only outlet in the second half and we were basically relying on him beating every Fulham defender to get a shot away. I certainly dont think he was lazy in throwing himself at Schwarzer in the 90th min, it would have been very easy to have bottled that.
Steve Kean's Hypnotoad
Close one between Robbo and Hoilett for me. Gone for Robbo because his shot stopping and dealing with crosses was pretty much flawless. Bit surprised Dann's up there, passed straight to Zamora to gift them what should have been a penalty and then just stood there watching Zamora beat Givet for their goal without making any attempt to get across to cover or put a block in. Got better second half I suppose.

He's never been a lazy player.
Teacup
For a debut I think Dann played superb. Without a doubt our best signing this window.
Lilgaz
Has to be Robbo for me . All the outfield players were absolute gash. Another inept display under Kean
Backroom DE. Posted September 12, 2011 Backroom Share Posted September 12, 2011 For a debut I think Dann played superb. Without a doubt our best signing this window. At 7.7M you'd hope so! On his own he cost almost as much as the rest of our summer signings combined. Hopefully he'll prove to Venky's that you get what you pay for. mjwood00
Looked to me like hoilett has bulked up. Dann looked nervy at first but his positional sense is excellent. Thought Dunn had a very good first half, without his organisation the middle looked lost. Petrovic clearly needs time. Fulham's new attacker was awful. Mafioso
Basically agree with whoever voted for Robbo. His good saves compare to good tackles from dann and good dribbles from rochina. However, the lapse in concentration could have cost us by dann, otherwise an almost flawless game. rochina scored a fine goal and had some neat dribbling but was disposessed after trying to beat the 2nd man too often, i would actually put givet ahead of him even though zamora beat him the rest of his game was solid (We did defend for 45 min) I cant say i saw Robbo make a mistake, not even the goal. Veevs
Wow lots of votes for Rochina.. thought he was poor myself, yes looked pretty with the ball but so many times he failed to release the ball to better placed players, his pass completion rate was abysmal (misplaced 12 in 26 passes), got caught on the ball to often and prefered working for himself rather than the team. RibbleValleyRover
Robinson for me. Made numerous key saves when we were absolutely battered in the second half and secured us an undeserved point.
