Couldn't find the old thread so feel free to move mods. (for some reason the search feature is not working for me)

But Oliver holt when talking about the "Rooney rule" has decided to bring up Ince's sacking again insinuating that the fact Ince is black was a factor in his sacking.

"Ince became the first black Premier League manager when he was made Blackburn boss in June 2008.

By then, he had worked a miracle by saving Macclesfield from relegation from League Two in 2006-07.

The following season, he had won promotion from the same division for MK Dons, who went up as champions.

But Blackburn only gave him 177 days in the job before they sacked him on December 16, 2008. The club was fourth from bottom."

It is also accompanied with quotes from Ince saying

"Sadly, my experience at Blackburn showed that there are double standards out there and that black coaches are treated differently."

I realize this was years ago now but the article and quotes within it really pi**ed me right off. Paul Ince and his mate Holt are a couple of ****s

Holt and Ince just make themselves look stupid with quotes like that. Everybody knows Ince was sacked because he was bloody rubbish, it had nothing to do with the colour of his skin. If he believes that it was anything to do with his race then he's in denial about how poor of a job he did whilst he was here, and if Holt believes we sacked him faster because he was black then ... well, it doesn't matter because nobody takes him seriously anyway :lol:

Holt is a perfect example of someone that smug, that it completely overrides any self awareness or intelligence they may have gained through their schooling years. Even his hair is smug.

As a result he has no idea how much of a pillock he actually looks to the general public.

OliverHolt is so far stuck up his own arse he can see his lungs!

The guy thinks he's a celebrity, all his Rovers chat is so negative, Ince was a poor manager.... I think it's more racist to bring up that ince was sacked because of his colour! I see managers/players for their talents not their skin or beliefs!

Fact is Kean White, Ince Black .........both sh1t managers!

If you go down that road, you are unable to criticise anyone in football, 'no, sorry mate, you're jealous'.

He's had jobs at MK and Notts County since Rovers, jobs he only got because he was 'Paul Ince'.

Shame on the Mirror and anyone that buys that excuse for a newspaper.

So, Blackburn, the FIRST PL CLUB to hire a Black British manager are racist for sacking him? How does that work?

Ince wasn't even qualified for the job! Too busy on the putting range to take his badges and respect the other managers in the league who actually did the time and didn't just live off being "The Guvnor".

My mate was telling me that Andy Cole was on a show the other day and said that he, essentially, can't be assed to take his badges because black managers are discriminated against etc. It's such a load of bull. No wonder no-one while hire you with that attitude. You don't see Chris Hughton playing the race card, do you? No. He soon found work after leaving Newcastle, based on his management alone.

The Rooney Rule is nothing but reverse-racism and shouldn't be touched with a barge-pole.
