A decent manager will come...

The squad is still healthy

It's still a prem club

Don't under estimate the draw of being a manager in the worlds top league.

Oh and a huge pay off if you don't hack it !!

Steve McClaren's now available, he's just resigned from the Notts Forest job.

Not that I want him at Rovers. But my respect for him has just shot up when I heard he had resigned. Kean should take note of this, after all Mclaren is an experienced manager (even if not that good a one)

I'd take Maclaren in a heartbeat. Unfortunately, I don't think that Kean will be sacked any time soon, and he certainly won't walk when he's due a big pay out.

McClaren's surely got to be the first choice now, assuming Hughes wouldn't be interested.

I mean I know he's not the best manager, but he's certainly a safe pair of hands and would surely be capable enough to keep us up this year.

On the next manager i think the sacking of JJ could have a bit of a detrimental impact on the next one.

The potential new manager could be working for new owners that sack your assistant on a whim (if Kean is to be believed about his lack of involvement)

Or Kean stiffed JJ and a new potential manager/assistant is thinking that could happen to me, the owners could be swayed.

Either way, the attractiveness of working for Venkys reduced through the whole episode.

After Saturday's debacle I'll say it's only a question of how soon, rather than if, Kean goes. Another performance with players heads dropping like they did will make the crowd go bananas forcing the owners into action. There is still plenty of time to accumulate points even if it keeps going this badly for a while yet. I'm sure it went on longer before Souness and Ince left. The current situation reminds me of the end of both their tenures.

I have nothing against Kean. By all accounts he is a talented coach. But talented coaches don't always make good managers. He will go the same way as those gone before who failed at top league management; Les Reed, Sammy Lee, Chris Humphries, and Ricky Spragia to name a few. Not to mention 2 of our own; Ray Harford, and Brian Kidd.

I'm in charge!

They would be great teamtalks :D Though because of looking like a wrinkled old turkey ,he had better not travel to india or risk the chance of not coming home.

I'd have got it Abbey if you said 'fat, old bare knuckle fighting dyke'.

Or "Mrs Doubtfire", as I understand the Mackem fans call him.
