You have to try and keep your emotions in check tomorrow and keep calm. It is not a hate Kean protest, of course we want him removed as manager - we don't have to hate him too. roverandout
your right 'hate' is a strong word and i dont hate him as a human being, i just dislike him as our manager, though im sure if i saw him in tesco carpark, i would want to smack him. 47er
http://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/football/blackburn_rovers/news/9256956.Rao__Kean_s_job_is_safe_at_Blackburn_Rovers/ This worries me, if they really believe we will be 12th in 1-3 games time then these idiots are more deluded than Kean. We have Arsenal, Newcastle and City in the next 3 games. Max of 3pts would put us on 4pts which is where Arsenal are now with 4pts. Impossible!! What's this with "a section of rovers fans" are going to hold a protest tomorrow? There was a time when LT would simply have said "Rovers fans plan to hold a protest march tomorrow". bob fleming
Who would you have in as replacement owners? What a strange question. What do you expect me to say? "well I'm aware of 23 interested parties at last count, they're all queing up to buy us", that isn't the case. Are you happy with the current set up?! Who would I have in? I reckon that me and you could do a better job DGS, just need to win the Euro millions first. We would get our heads together and come up with the following after about 5 minutes... 1. Ewood is where the club is based. All decisions to be made by The Board from Ewood. We'd flick a coin and one of us would be Chairman. 2. We would employ a Manager and all decisions relating to transfers would be made by him and then approved by the Board... 3. We would agree transfer budgets with our appointed manager in advance of any transfer window. 4. Any involvement with an Agent or particularly Agency will be kept to a minimum. There will be no close working relationship and no potential conflicts of interest. 5. Every decision will be made in the best interests of Blackburn Rovers Football Club, not in the interests of marketing a third party product. 6. We'd sort out our PR. One of us would regularly talk to the press, keep the fans informed etc 7. Despite our Euro Millions success we would seek to bring in additional investment from other Rovers fans and welcome them onto the Board. Having a Board made up from Rovers fans must be our aim. In the subsequent week following those initial five minutes I reckon we could could up with some even better ideas. In the next 9 months who knows what we could achieve. I'm not aware of anyone who wants to buy us. I can only live in hope.

He is going to con them into thinking Rovers is a money making machine and will be in the champions league in 3 seasons. Then again surely no idiot would fall for that would they? Sysagent
Posted in the Kean thread (didn't notice this one):- Interesting body language from Mr Rao when asked the question about the fans wanting Steve Kean to be sacked:- To me it looks like something is seriously amiss at Blackburn Rovers, akin to what certain members on here have been alluding to I guess, as he does on the face of it look to be totally untouchable for some murky reason... If he can't be removed from Venky's employ, why can they not do what other major companies do and "promote" him sideways or upwards to another role, for instance overseeing the India Academy project he mentions in the podcast interview, I think he would be ideally suited for this type of role as his credentials as a coach seem of a quite high standard. chris
Well the Venkys can go home and continue to be naive being that based solely on todays game everytihng they planned happened. Young team Young Manager entertaining football falir players no long ball Players supporting manager on the pitch. After the game they were huging and waving, I always quite like Venkys as people they seem honest, I thought their biggest problem is they are a bit thick. I will never agree with Sam sacking and not a Kean fan at all, but from what they saw today they will feel justified. This will give Kean more time for sure, they love the guy. roversmum
Venky's are certainly not stupid, Chris. Yes, they have made mistakes with Rovers, but they are getting on top of things now and the future is looking good.
Backroom Tom Posted September 17, 2011 Backroom Share Posted September 17, 2011 After the game they were huging and waving, I always quite like Venkys as people they seem honest, I agree with this, they have made some bad, and some shocking decisions but they genuinely want us to be successful and you could see the win meant a lot to them. They have a lot to learn yet but I'm still hopeful they can turn it around. I have no doubt they are decent people (the feeding of X amount of people a day shows that) problem is good people aren't always winners but fingers crossed
roverandout
still think they should be appointing a new manager but after today's win, it looks like they will stick with him for a while longer.
