booth Posted September 17, 2011 Posted September 17, 2011 cant see anywhere near a 1000 turning up for the march to be honest, its just not in the nature of people around here to go marching around the streets even if they do 100% support the cause, wouls be a nice suprise to be proved wrong though and would show blackburn fans in a very good light if there was over a 1000 there and behaving themselves! This thread should really be renamed, "how many Rovers fans does it take to change a manager?"
Wing Wizard Windy Miller Posted September 17, 2011 Posted September 17, 2011 seen a few people this morning out and about that I would not have thought would march. think there may be a surprising turnout for this.
T.J.Newton Posted September 17, 2011 Posted September 17, 2011 When counting the turnout, why don't you use the guy who counts the Dingles away following, the march would then be at least 5000 strong? dfont see your point lad.
Andy Posted September 17, 2011 Posted September 17, 2011 seen a few people this morning out and about that I would not have thought would march. think there may be a surprising turnout for this. I agree with this - people are taking friends and family. Some the sneerers might be surprised by how large the turnout is.
Roversider Posted September 17, 2011 Posted September 17, 2011 Just off to the game now, not part of the march though - by choice. Wouldn't be surprised if someone tries to blame Kean for the wet weather! Poor sod acts as a lightning rod for all the bad feeling engendered by a lack of results.
Backroom Tom Posted September 17, 2011 Backroom Posted September 17, 2011 Kamy says around 200 outside the pub 10 minutes ago, I imagine many will join on the way, the earlier start could have had a negative impact as well
RibbleValleyRover Posted September 17, 2011 Posted September 17, 2011 There are some photos on twitter: http://twitter.com/#!/amywelchitv http://yfrog.com/khy2kwvj http://yfrog.com/mnm7gzrj
Backroom Tom Posted September 17, 2011 Backroom Posted September 17, 2011 I see Glen Mullan in the middle of one of those. Got to say I'm not keen on the Drink Driver Kean out posters (even though it's true) Hope the rain holds off for a while for them
newfan Posted September 17, 2011 Posted September 17, 2011 I see Glen Mullan in the middle of one of those. Got to say I'm not keen on the Drink Driver Kean out posters (even though it's true) Hope the rain holds off for a while for them ya exactly my point and no poster of his win % just saw someone wearing t shirt showing his record but its to small a font to recognize
Sysagent Posted September 17, 2011 Posted September 17, 2011 It hasn't as it lashing it down here in Gt Harwood...
roverzee Posted September 17, 2011 Posted September 17, 2011 Just off to the game now, not part of the march though - by choice. Wouldn't be surprised if someone tries to blame Kean for the wet weather! Poor sod acts as a lightning rod for all the bad feeling engendered by a lack of results. I hope the 6 people who gave minus reputation to this post in the 20 mins since it was posted did so on their mobiles from the march!
Backroom Tom Posted September 17, 2011 Backroom Posted September 17, 2011 Can't agree that last week was one of the worst performances we've ever seen but a good interview Kamy says numbers are up to 700 or so now at Ewood
MickeFIN Posted September 17, 2011 Posted September 17, 2011 hope so near 1000 coming there, today lose 0-3 or 0-5 then maybe other people realize how crap that our manager is, BRING back tony parkes!!!!!!!!!!!
Backroom Tom Posted September 17, 2011 Backroom Posted September 17, 2011 All good natured according to Kamy
Backroom DE. Posted September 17, 2011 Backroom Posted September 17, 2011 Glad to hear things are going well! Am popping over here every so often from doing work to keep up to speed, so updates appreciated
Backroom Tom Posted September 17, 2011 Backroom Posted September 17, 2011 Northern_Rover Northern Rover Started with around 250 at the pub, numbers swelled as march began, as fans reached Ewood the front of march was at Bolton Rd traffic lights Sounds like a slightly disappointing turnout but it could have been a lot worse, the main thing is it's been good natured with no problems
imy9 Posted September 17, 2011 Posted September 17, 2011 700+ considering the threat of rain is an excellent turnout, welldone to all involved.
Grez Posted September 17, 2011 Posted September 17, 2011 Good jOb lads - nearly a 1000 at the end I reckon. Everyone well behaved
Backroom Tom Posted September 17, 2011 Backroom Posted September 17, 2011 700+ considering the threat of rain is an excellent turnout, welldone to all involved. All things considered it is a good turn out It's just a shame people predicted higher as it makes it look worse. Well done to all involved
