cn_barlow Posted September 17, 2011 Posted September 17, 2011 now on ssn glen on ssn What did he say?
Kamy100 Posted September 17, 2011 Posted September 17, 2011 Finished now, very good natured. All chants about Kean. I would say between 350-500, hard to judge. No trouble and very peaceful. Weather was atrocious!
Backroom Tom Posted September 17, 2011 Backroom Posted September 17, 2011 A dingle who was passing said, there was at least 3500 'going down the Bolton Rd' Steve Keans just commented on it he says it reminded him of a young million man march!
Wing Wizard Windy Miller Posted September 17, 2011 Posted September 17, 2011 point well made by protesters. peaceful and well behaved. well done to all involved. in ground now coyb
newfan Posted September 17, 2011 Posted September 17, 2011 What did he say? pointed keans record said they support owners and players never a good time to sack the manager but SK should go now his record not good SK bought players who he don't start with all the vision is of venkys vision and not SK's vision
BPF Posted September 17, 2011 Posted September 17, 2011 Glen was just all over the US ESPN! World famous!
Ferrit Posted September 17, 2011 Posted September 17, 2011 Good turn out, a couple of reprobates aside it was very well mannered and point made.
BuckyRover Posted September 17, 2011 Posted September 17, 2011 Source BBC Football website: BBC Radio 5 live reporter Alastair Yeomans on the pre-match protest against Blackburn manager Steve Kean: "About 250 fans gathered at a pub about a mile away and marched here to Ewood Park. They did one lap of the stadium and had hoped for 500 but were hampered by the bad weather. Despite the rain they did make quite a din. This was a one-issue protest, they want the removal of Steve Kean and hope the owners who are here today have taken notice. This was a small and passionate march which was vociferous and I'm afraid very personal."
hesfromburn Posted September 17, 2011 Posted September 17, 2011 THERE WERE ONLY AROUND 300. LOOKED LIKE IDIOT CHAVS JUMPING AROUND. AND AFTER TODAYS BRILLIANT WIN!! YOU WILL LOOK MORE PATHETIC!!
Grez Posted September 17, 2011 Posted September 17, 2011 THERE WERE ONLY AROUND 300. LOOKED LIKE IDIOT CHAVS JUMPING AROUND. AND AFTER TODAYS BRILLIANT WIN!! YOU WILL LOOK MORE PATHETIC!! Moron - we've had a galvanising effect in that people know we want success. We always said we wanted to win today and kean to go - nothing changed for me
Ferrit Posted September 17, 2011 Posted September 17, 2011 THERE WERE ONLY AROUND 300. LOOKED LIKE IDIOT CHAVS JUMPING AROUND. AND AFTER TODAYS BRILLIANT WIN!! YOU WILL LOOK MORE PATHETIC!! Clueless.
RevidgeBlue Posted September 17, 2011 Posted September 17, 2011 If we'd been stranded well adrift at the bottom of the table after a good proportion of the season, a protest march might have had some merit. As it was just four games into the season and one game after the close of the transfer window it was ridiculously premature as today's superb win proved.
sam_rovers Posted September 17, 2011 Posted September 17, 2011 If protesting leads us to winning we should protest before every match!
RibbleValleyRover Posted September 17, 2011 Posted September 17, 2011 If we'd been stranded well adrift at the bottom of the table after a good proportion of the season, a protest march might have had some merit. As it was just four games into the season and one game after the close of the transfer window it was ridiculously premature as today's superb win proved. The protest factored in Kean's whole tenure which you should agree has been shocking. It was a lucky win more than a superb one, unless Kean can find a way to score an off-side goal every game and rely on own goals then Rovers are still in some serious trouble. The result has changed nothing in my mind, he still has to go.
koi Posted September 17, 2011 Posted September 17, 2011 Think the drink drive posters were below the belt
Guest TheArtistFormallyKnownAsJB Posted September 17, 2011 Posted September 17, 2011 I'd like to see someone explain Yakubu's introduction to the team by Kean as a fluke. besides, I amj glad that this protest had a low turnout. I stand by comments about the spoilt idiots who have no idea what real protesting is about. Hopefully this will be the last of them.
Mercer Posted September 17, 2011 Posted September 17, 2011 Full credit to Glen & Co. Have done a super job organising and shown real bottle. I think we will find that today's somewhat win will paper over the cracks for a little while, however, I feel the instincts of many Kean doubters will prove right in the end.
Will Posted September 17, 2011 Posted September 17, 2011 The day couldn't have turned out better for me, numbers on march were low, it ###### down, tv coverage makes those that took part look ridiculous and the Rovers won! Time to get behind the team, the manager and everything blue and White. The owners know how some feel, if it was just a lucky result then I think they got the message and Kean will be on his way.
Mattie456 Posted September 17, 2011 Posted September 17, 2011 Think the drink drive posters were below the belt Yup. I thought so too. Hardly the most intelligent way to get your point across.
Pete1981 Posted September 17, 2011 Posted September 17, 2011 Northern_Rover Northern Rover Owners delighted with win. They reckon result justifies their backing of Kean, he totally guaranteed his job today for foreseeable future.
perthblue02 Posted September 17, 2011 Posted September 17, 2011 Think the drink drive posters were below the belt Yeah I totally agree especially after he apologised publicly for doing it and trying to wriggle out of it by insinuating that Rovers supporters spiked his drink and originally lying to police, oh wait he didn't, a fine example to all young Blackburn rovers supporters , drive down the motorway at 90 mph , over the drink drive limit whilst talking on your mobile phone.

Much more than any 300. Next protest march we need a megaphone. Next protest we need someone as head counter. Anybody who has criticised the current manager / regime and who lives locally and did not attend (without a damned good reason) then shame on you.
