No, you base everything on this season. This was his first full pre-season in charge, he has had a chance to make his own signings and implement his style of football.

We had a sticky start to the season, but it did not merit a protest.

No you don't, if he was a brand new appointment, then yes, of course you would. But he has been manager for 9 months.

I agree with Jisty, the protest seemed to focus minds on and offthe pitch.

Anyway, as I have always said throughout Ince, Sam and Kean I just want to see BRFC win football matches and the team to survive (and possibly) propser in the Premier League.

I've nothing personal against any maanger, he wins matches and he stays, he risks our PL status, he goes.

Kean is not going to be sacked anytime soon, so here's hoping we can put a run together, utter mystery to me how he has blagged a PL maangers job, but he's the only manager we are likely to have.

By the grace of God, go we...

Only an idiot would protest 4 games into the season asking the manager to be sacked.

Last season was not his team, he did not have the final say on Sam's signings and I doubt he had very much input in the players that came in during Sam's reign.

But he knows the players and their style. Not like he was from a different regime. Only an idiot would support a manager who nearly got us relegated.

People ignore the past only when it suits their argument.

According to Kean, the season only started after the window had closed. So I guess that's 2 positive results out of 2? Or maybe we start today, call it a 100% record?

I trust Sky Sports and co have reset all of their stats on Kean now.

The facts are there for scrutiny - everything else us just opinion. As the worst Rovers manager in recent times (I'd not ever) and the owners blindly backing him regardless, I'd say the time for fans voicing their concerns publically was overdue.

I've been as critical as anyone about what he did and how he tried to get out of it but that's a separate issue and was nothing to do with the protest, it was a very petty and pathetic dig that looks very bad for the march.

I think its part of the bigger picture and relevant, if he is not afraid to lie under oath then what bull his he feeding the supporters, owners, players , he is a public face of Blackburn Rovers and with that comes responsibility. I really do believe now that he is unsackable, for what reason I don't know but with the company he keeps no doubt it will be colourful and not in the interest's of the club.

I think he was referring to the tv coverage showing about 5 fans, one of them was walking a dog to boost the attendance

If that's the case then, Pedro, you have my apologies. Please disregard the start of my post.

Guy who helped organise the march ( alledgedly) just embarrassed himself on radio lancs ranting!!

Called Usman?

Really ? He was the one embarassing himself on twitter last night as well. Also the one with the drink drive posters.

I believe he was actually nothing to do with organising things, but should anything like that happen again, then the organisers need to be careful who they have representing them.

He knows the players, but his style of football and Sam's style of football is different.

He got us into a relegation battle last season, but he also got us out of it. Forget last season now, it's history.

This season, he has had a full pre-season with the players and he's bought in his style of players.

You do not protest against a manager 4 games into the new season. I'm sorry, but in my eyes that is just plain stupidity. We were the laughing stock before the game, and those that joined the protest, are the laughing stock now.

Your protest has made no difference. Hope you're happy by ruining the club's reputation. Then you complain that Venky's are ruining it. Pathetic.

(Not a go at you by the way Matty)

Still working for Venky's then ? I believe that Venky's are the embarrassment to our club.

Glen has shown terrific bottle and has handled the press brilliantly. Unlike Kean, what you see with Glen is what you get.

A lot of the media I've seen suggested there were only about 300 tops, and the way it has been reported has made the protest look a bit silly - whether it was or not in reality

Lets get one thing clear here....Kean WILL be ultimately judged on results. His record to date is not good enough,we all know that.If matters improve and up the league we go then all the better but lets see if the results come against the likes of QPR,Norwich,Bolton,Wigan,Swansea etc etc.

I would say the vast majority of Roverites are nowhere near convinced but no doubt the Rao's will be dousing him in champagne like a cup winner right now...he's won a f'kin game!

If I was Steve Kean I'd be feeling very smug right now.

The protest was a stupid idea and I hope the idiots that took part are feeling a bit silly after a mini rally against your manager.

You wanted him out after 4 games in charge, and I don't want to look at his stats last season.

These are his signings, these are his training methods and tactics after 1 full pre-season. He needs time, and today proved that.

He got the tactics spot on in the second half and his post match interview shows that he does know what he is doing.

Rochina, Hoillet, Formica, Yakubu and Dann were all very good today. Did Big Sam have anything to do with these players? NO!

Get behind him and the team and let's climb that table.

Steve Kean's Blue and White Army!! brfcsmilie.gif

It appears that if nothing else todays march is flushing out the odd few misguided souls who religiously vote pro kean on the polls. Can somebody jot em down?

Fans have been protesting against owners, maangers, boards since day dot, it doesn't ruin the club's reputation one jot (unless it ends up in violence etc etc). That is done by those in positions of authority.

A protesting dog? Very poor turn of phrase. And pretty insulting to a group of people who stood up to be counted for something the believe in.

Hope you never need any support for any cause you need to fight for, Pedro.

Well done to Glen for organising the march. At the very least, the owners know that the fans will not simply roll over, no matter what.

There were so good signs on the pitch today, notably Lowe (at full back), Simon, and Yakubu. It will be interesting if we maintain that kind if performance. For once, Kean can actually say it was s good performance.

Interesting indeed, BPF, he had indeed bought himself more time today - always seems to get something even the owners are in attendance.

Definitely given people something to think about, and we have regained 3 points that we previously dropped.

One game does not solve our problems and I refuse to join those fickle types whose opinion of Kean swing on each result.

People standing up for what they believe in should not be mocked though...

What are you on about?

I said each to their own etc. but there was actually a dog that was forced to wear a sandwich board, what turn of phrase would you like me to use? A picketing pooch???

In fairness the protest only showed what they knew, that "some" fans are against Kean.

If that's the case then, Pedro, you have my apologies. Please disregard the start of my post.

Just read this, apology accepted! I think you will get my point when you see the footage :)
