Just wondering. If we start winning consistently and reach Europe ( ) are the protesters going to plan a Steve Kean Appreciation march?

Have Manchester United fans ever held an Alex Ferguson appreciation march?

We won't reach Europe. If Kean can get us back to being the consistent top 10 club (or thereabouts) we were before this mess all started, he'll have my respect. Though he'll need to do it over multiple seasons to me to me to have complete faith in his abilities, if we do it this season most of us certainly will stop calling for his head.

I would agree with that, I am hovering right now, I still don't think Kean is up to task but you have to say that win over Arsenal has deservedly bought him a little more time at least.

When you hate someone you might slap them in the face, if you like someone I hope you wouldn't still slap them in the face, you probably shake their hand.

So think of a march as a slap in the face. Now when Kean wins the FA cup and gets us into the top 4 I think we will go for a victory parade will be more in order on a open top bus.

edit i messed this joke up

There's no danger of that, TGM.

Going off track but would like a good run in one of the cups this year.

It's not a worth while run unless you get to the final, agreed?

Think that Rao's are hoping for one too and 8th.

Intereting Kean still thinks Venkys will massively invest soon.

I don't think you've seen me before have you?

Just remember those boards don't work on water, unless you got power.

What about standing up and turning our backs to the game at a pre-agreed point in the match or when City score their inevitable first goal along with chants for the manager to be removed?

The march was a good statement but logistics of people joining the march, fear of trouble, the weather meant that the turnout was much lower than it deserved. It's much easier for people to stand up in their seats and turn around, and people are much more likely to join in if those around them are doing the same.

The possible downside is that it may affect the players, so we'd have to raise the roof in vocal support for them immediately afterwards.

The advantages: hopefully Kean and Venkys will realise it's not a minority of supporters, it's free and easy so more may get involved, and it continues along the theme of the open letter and the protest.

as i said on the other thread drunx, the protest wont affect the players as they were diabolical today and there was no protest, we had one last week and they won, they obviously couldnt give a toss one way or the other, the same with our so called manager.

but el tombre, some people will make excuse after excuse for him, thats the way some people on here are.

I remember Glen talked about refusing to leave after the game and signing anti Kean songs.

Although is Kean the problem or the peole that hired him.

I mean if Simon Cowell had made Onkar Judge the winner of xfactor, would that have been Onkar Judges fault?????

I just don't think we can lie down and wait until we lose 4 on the bounce.

We start the season badly and have a well publicised open letter and protest. After a win that had NOTHING to do with the manager but a lot to do with luck we're back to shocking fullback performances and a flimsy midfield. I'm not a manager, I don't actually watch much football on the TV but I can see these problems and that the fullback issues are destabilising the whole defence.

It will be a little embarassing if, following the letter and the protest, nothing is done. Publically, it will look like we're accepting that this idiot is taking us down.

I voted to give him more time. My belief is that it was unfair to judge him based on last season (a surprise managerial sacking, off-the field focus, £5m transfer budget)... so you could say my views are based on the transfer window and this season only. I don't expect other people to agree with that viewpoint, of course, but I just think he needed a shot at a Summer transfer window and a full season. It's looking poor. I'm not someone looking for instant gratification so I'm still prepared to give him a bit longer yet. But if the tactical naivities and goal leakings continue over the next few matches then, for me, he's got to go.

I dont agree with your original viewpoint, a manager should be judged on his results throughout his tenure. Kean makes enough excuses lets not make them for him, The new manager who comes in will not be given the luxury of '5 wins in 21' because he will have to sort out Steve Keans mess if we give him the 'bit longer' you suggest. we have now conceded an average of over 2 goals a game and earned less that a point a game. Steve Kean is becoming indefensible to those who try to defend him.

Perhaps a Venky's out march/protest next? Turn the attention directly onto them might get things stirring.

Venky's out and who in? We need Owners and i do not see a queue of people hoping to own BRFC

Absolutely agree i inboxed Glen on facebook this evening telling him we must follow this up against man city next week, we cannot let Mr Kean think the '1%' have dissappeared. his performances are embarassing and his interviews insulting. to blame the officials decisions today is ridiculous. we lost 19-4 on shots, had one shot on target, bet he aint using the stats today, the same as he wasnt last week.

I am happy to say i protested last week to support a cause i believe in, i will also support and help Glen in any repeat protest next weekend.

Steve Keans record is appalling, whether you ignore last seasons results or not!!

2010/11, win record 23.8%

2011/12, win record 16.7%

I'm quite happy to have another protest next week if more want to lend a hand, or i'm quite happy to take part in one if someone else wants to arrange one.

Last week was very hard work and it takes lot of organsing, its not just a case of turning up, (Wish it was) An application for any protest has to be lodged with the Police 6 days before the protest for it to be legal, and be supported by the authorites and the club.

Today showed clearly that we beat and Arsenal team in as much disarray than us, and we have now conceded 8 goals in a week.

This Manager can't be given anymore time, as the longer he stays at the helm the more unlikely it becomes that someone will want the job/mess he leaves us in.

That is very true, but then they should feel a bit of heat and pressure and know our frustration. Even Peter Ridsdale would be better than these clowns!

If they were showing this support to a proper manager we would not have a problem. Apart from the fact they are supporting an inept clown they have not done much wrong. They have invested more back into the team than the previous lot

A protest against City is a must, we beat Arsenal, but that shouldn’t make the slightest bit of difference, he needs to go.

You may find that after the City defeat next week, people will take it upon themselves to make their way to the main entrance and protest.
