Who appointed him , where does the buck stop? They have sacked every senior manager? Get a grip hughsey it's down to the venkys!

They came hughsey and promised the earth and delivered nothing Ffs ! Apart from selling players which THEY said we were no longer a selling club! How can you trust an owner who has been to one game in her life ? When she came she didn't have the decency to come out on the pitch , instead she chose to go on camera instead.

What player have they sold that they had no choice in doing. The clause in Phil Jones contract was met. Meaning venkys had no choice - even if they didn't want to do so - but to sell.

We can slate them for the many mistakes they have made - but sadly not this one.

It seems unreal that FF Members that went on the trip are not allowed to speak for themselves. Instead they have to speak as FF clones.

Sad, very sad.

Untrue. We are and have been doing, but after being stitched up like kippers by the press this week I think we'd all like to get a carefully worded version of the key points, THEN answer specific questions.

Is there a problem with the pune9 website Glen. Everytime I go on to it I get repeated lines of the same sentence. On my phone it is fine, but not on a computer.

Blummin eck, what with the rising hysteria in this topic and the 10 pages of bile spewed at Dunny, its starting to resemble the Salem Witch Trials round here. Anyone who defends, is associated with or indeed has been in the same country as Venkys brings down the angry mob down on their head. Take a step back and its all pretty hilarious, I nearly spat my coffee on the monitor when someone called Roversmum a disgrace.

The FF are only in the FF because they're massive Rovers fans, its important to remember that in any conspiracy theories. An official statement from them needs to represent all their views, take all factors about the trip into account and unfortunately does need to be slightly aware of how it impacts the FF (and therefore the fans) relationship with the club and Venkys. So I hardly think its unreasonable to spend a few days on planning/producing it.

The last thing we want Is differing quotes from different members...This will cause more conflict and more arguements being made. Lets just chill out see what the FF come up with tonight and listen/read the statement. Unfortunatly I think this trip might have caused a few fallouts on the board and hope they dont continue after the dust settles.

I cant help but look at Glenn's avatar and laugh, it really does sum up the last 20+ pages of this topic!

Hi Mack - I think sadly the board has been like this for a while there has been conflict in the air and talks of agendas and the likes since At least before Sam came in

The idea that there should be an "agreed point of view" is quite ridiculous. This isn't some parliamentary committee.

A better solution would be for each member of the trip post their views independently, without having colluded (well as best as could be avoided) with other members of the party. The reality is it would be the discrepancies between these statements that would probably tell us most.

I think most of us have enough intelligence to draw our own conclusions from the individual testimonies rather than have yo have a “Party View” imposed!

The argument that the press would twist or manipulate this is quite irrelevant

Why do people assume that they'll all be releasing lies? Paranoid bunch.

I don't believe there will be any lies, but a more pertinent question is, will we get to hear everything?

I'm not keen myself on a consolidated "statement" from the FF itself after tonights meeting. The rest of the FF was not in attendance of the meetings and therefore should have no bearing on what is and is not communicated to the wider supporters. If anything, there should be a presentation from the pune 9 to the FF and that exact presentation should be made public.

Well it depends on what you wanted from the trip, all I wanted was for them to put the fans point across about Kean, I think they achieved that.

As for the hysteria, the insults are obviously not needed, but people are going to ge annoyed if the big picture is missed- ie we are staring relegation in the face but 9 regale us just how passionate they are and how exciting their plans are.

I think a collective brief statement is the right thing to do then we can induvidually add meat to the bones when needed.

We have never been told what we can and cant say though

Roversmum

You commented on the other thread in answer to the backroom changes that you can't make an omellette without breaking a few eggs.

Are you saying that John Williams was an egg that needed to be broken? If so, why?

If I misunderstood then please correct my understanding

Yeah but don't you think fans should wait to see what their statement actually is before judging it? Early indications are that it will include some positive comments about Venkys passion/committment but that might be most, half or barely any of the overall statement.

As you say the important thing is they made their point about Kean, and from what I can see in the LET that was very successful. At the start of the trip Venkys said they weren't worried and that Kean was a brilliant manager, at the end they said results weren't good enough and must improve. Probably numerous factors contributed to this change of heart but its pretty likely the FF discussion played a major role so maybe they should be commended.

I'm here. What is happening is that the fans on the Forum are meeting tonight. This is to feedback to the Forum members who were not on the trip so that they hear first and also so that we all agree the statement we want to make. That should be public tomorrow and hopefully we will be recording a podcast as well on Wednesday night but that's not definite yet. If we do it should be out sometime on Thursday. We only got back yesterday, all of us jetlagged and many of us have come back to lots of work after a few days off. Just give us a bit of time.

Why should the FF hear first. I was informed that they were ordinary supporters and not the elite!

The comments made by several puners especially RM lead me to suspect that they consider themselves in some way " special " fans as opposed to us

ordinary fans. This does not help when we are ALL concerned for the future of our beloved football club.

Kindly get off your indian high horses and tell us what went on.

Yes we are staring a long stay in the Relegation spots in the face ...BUT

QPR Away,Norwich Away,Wigan Away,Swansea Home,Sunderland Away, West Brom Home and Bolton Home are 7 matches we should get points from. Perhaps 15 points would be the BFS target. This takes us up to Christmas close to 20 points.Bearing in mind we gave away 4 to 6 points against Everton and Wolves then the team might be said to have performed OK.

The difference between the optimists(not Kean admirers) and the pessimists (the anti-Kean witchhunt) is how you believe these matches will go and ,most importantly, whether Kean should be in charge for them.

My view is that the Raos are still optimists and most of us are pessimists. We do not want to gamble with the Club's future, fan base and security. The problem I now realise is that most of you could not weather the long hard period(between 1972 and 89 that some of us endured with pain and occasional pyrrhic victories) COYB.

Because we are meeting up to go through the statement, and thought that while we were doing that it would be a good idea to brief the other members. Theres nothing sinister in it at all.

First and foremost it was an invitation to the FF, as all representatives couldn't go, we are reporting back to them first.

That's just wrong. Exactly what was feared.

I hate Kean, but I hate conspiracy theories even more. I urge people to lay off the 'Pune 9' until they make their statement. While in my opinion they should've rejected the trip, they didn't, they went, had a good time (I assume) and did what they could to air our concerns. Good for them.

The people on the FF are some of the more level headed posters on here and to attack them in such a way is unnecessary.

Why are the FF getting such a hard time they were invited over by the owners they are trying there best to open up dialogue with the owners to benefit all fans. The FF do not have a duty to tell us anything that went on over there if they wish to keep everything to themselves then they could do. We should be grateful that they are willing to let us know what was talked about whilst over there. As the FF were the people who were chosen to go over it is only fair that the people who were not voted from the FF get to hear what happened 1st

I thought people where writing diaries/blogging over there? Surely this could all be saved by releasing them? Diarys and blogs would give a far better representation of what was actually said than releasing a "statement", your all jetlagged/come back to loads of work... It wouldnt suprise me if certain things where forgotten, and thats not a dig, its natural!

I hope that the FF distance themselves from the comment highlighted above

If that's how you feel, then I apologise, it's not my intention and certainly not my style. I don't consider myself any different to any other fan.

That was the intention, but sadly a much much busier schedule than we anticipated and absolutely shocking internet connectivity meant it didn't really happen. We got a little bit of stuff up on the Pune9 website, but in truth very little.

Sorry l thought you said the group of people that apparently represent the fans and went to India as BRFC fans don't need to cascade any information to the fans if they don't want. This is Rule 1 on how to alienate yourself which l'm 100% sure the FF are consciously trying to avoid.
