Did the Pune9 ask Balaji about me and those long standing supporters outside of the UK? All I'm hearing is about expanding to India etc, but what about those other countries. V's out!

One thing at a time, Icers!

Some good positive things being written on here by Glenn, Ste B and Tom,

I read the press release earlier and it said pretty much what I expected it to say,

However now the guys have written their version of events on this message board I must say the group has done good, and more than anyone could have possible imagined. Its nice to have some positive things to write about as frankly in the last few months it has all been negative.

I like Ste B's comment (Without finding it as I dunno how to do this multi quote thing) about Balaji being the footie guy, Mrs D being the cheque signer ect,

I also like all Toms comments and the one about him feeling he had missed the boat on the Friday only to ge this opportunity on the Saturday whilst being on the roof.

I feel far more positive about the owners after reading through all these comments especially because of the individuals who are making these statements, as they are individuals whose opinion I fully respect and are not daft.

The only questions I would like to ask is.

1.Did you Manage to speak to Steve Kean?

2.Did he make himself accessable to the supporters who travelled out?

3.Did you speak to any of the coaching staff?

4.Did you speak to any of the players and who?

What was their general feeling about the supporters and especially the protest which have been occuring?

Good work guys

Good to hear some details of the trip guys. I guess the longer we don't have an assistant manager is a good sign. We've given Kean his chance but it's not happening. We need an experienced manager to keep us safe in this league. Also some serious investment in January. We're still lacking premiership experience in the team and that should be there main priority along with experienced management team. If they do this they'll be guaranteed the support of rovers fans.

It seems like the trip was a success and on the whole the Pune9 managed to get across what most of the Rovers fans thoughts / concerns of the current situation so they were an excellent representation of Rovers fans. Thank you for letting us know what went on and managing to get your points across to the owners.

If they went over kicking on screaming which people were calling for then no progress would have been made. That's maybe why they are on the Fans Forum as they provide a true representation of what Rovers fans think and act in a positive but sensible way. They love Rovers as much as the rest of us but can be trusted to conduct themselves in the professional way when speaking to people in power to gain as much information as possible.

Lots of questions still need to be answered in terms of Steve Kean and if future investment is going to be put into the team. If they can get things right on the pitch, then their marketing in India will be vital to gain increased revenue. We are never going to compete with the likes of Utd in China and other parts of the world but India could prove lucrative if Rovers are the only Premier League club exposed in that area. I see no harm in this and only a positive. We have to be be a Premier League club for it to work and this is the major danger at the moment.

At last some good positive stuff to mull over.

The Venkys have thus far been a complete mystery to me and like others I judged them by their actions and imputed there motives from the things I observed. It wasn't a good first twelve months to be honest and I really did question their motives. I have no expectations of ever meeting them myself to form an opinion but it's enough for me to hear that 9 true fans went in with a critical attitude, looked them in the eye and came away convinced of their love for the club and believing their plans for taking us forward. Nice work guys.

"I won't let us go down" is just what I wanted to hear and it has to mean that action will be taken if results don't pick up. That's all I can ask for. I don't want Kean's head on a platter just for the sake of it, for me it's all about results. If he wins every game from here on out, I like everyone else will sweep recent history under the carpet and move on. If have zero optimism though of us winning any games at the moment but if Balaji says he will take the appropriate steps then I'm happy to sit the storm out, for a few weeks at least.

Well done Pune 9. Please keep the flow of recollections coming, I'm hungry for all and any information.

I'm baffled as to why two people gave this question a minus mark:

While your meetings have been reassuring to some people Tom, it changes absolutely nothing. We are where we are with them*. I have never doubted their intentions, but have, and still do question their ability to make the right judgements and decisions. That's what matters. Have you heard anything from them that might suggest that they know they've made some decisions that have put our status as a Premier League club in great danger? Have you heard anything from them that suggests they know what needs doing? If so, what?

* Edit. Bloomin' eck, SteB's just used the same words.

My point is simple. If they don't recognise that they have made mistakes, then nothing will change.

"I won't let us go down" is just what I wanted to hear

no-one can guarantee that TJ. If they were that clever, they wouldn't have got us in the current situation.

Sorry to sound negative, but we need actions and quickly.

Yes they did, or at least alluded to it. They got stick for not questioning the owners at the mosque / holy place when they had a chance meeting with them. One person said in the protest page to burn an Indian flag at the next protest. These are the kind of people why would have gone over kicking and screaming with no thought of the consequences as they lack some kind of intelligence or common sense.

Even though we were in the same hotel, we didn't mingle with the playing staff much and I think we all felt it inappropriate to bother them. There was the odd shared lift and a couple of the guys got some autographs for their kids but there wasn't really much chance to interact with them (which is fair enough, they're there working). Given the only conversations I had were at "off duty" times it's not fair to share details publicly

.... oh apart from Jason Roberts who individually wished us all a safe journey home.

Sorry guys, have been manic at work plus going away for a few days tomorrow, not sure if anyone asked this already but any info on Currie/Batterby possible involvement at the club?

Nothing official, but we did talk to them for a while at the game. They know what they are talking about.

I dont really have much more to add than that i'm afraid.

Good work guys

1) Didnt really feel the need to

2) If I'd wanted to, it would have been fine. Others did.

3) Yes, but not to SK. Ian Brunskill very good, made it clear he believes that there is a very good bunch of young players who given some backing can push on.

4) Quite a few, mainly Dunny as hes mates with Pittard etc, or Salgado as he's just an all round top bloke.

General impressions is that they are all aware of the position we are in, determined to get us out of it and absolutely in it together.

Doesn't take much to appease everyone does it.

Venkies are taking everyone for a massive ride. Nice move by then though, take a few supporters out to india, show a bit of passion, say a few buzz words like vision and long term plan ect. Did you expect them to say anything else?

One hour of fluff face to face and its changed most peoples minds already? Look at the facts. The club is a disgrace from top to bottom and these jokers are the root cause.

I can only speak for myself, the only thing I am happy about is that the 9 got their point across.

We have been fed far too much BS this last year for me to believe anything that comes out of the mouth of a Rao. Now is time for them to put up or shut up, starting with you know what.

I am with you mate.

I still believe the most urgent issue is getting the club structured correctly from top to bottom, which it clearly isn't. Unless that is put right, then talk of spreading the gospel across India is totally pointless and irrelevant.

I just don't buy their BS.

That doesn't take anything away from the efforts of the 9, who obviously went about things in a professional manner.

KEAN OUT!!

We have been saying for a while now actions speak louder than words - continuously, Venkys and their puppet have spouted utter drivel, it really isn't on.

I hope because of the decisions they have made so far, plus the way the club has been run, the damage is not already done.

Totally agree. It has always worried me that john williams gave these guys a few weeks then quit. Now at the time I thought ok he's at the time of life when change isn't welcome and has decided to call it a day and retire.

The fact that he didn't retire and had no intention of retirement at all but just didn't want anything to do with them tells us a lot.

If it was the other way and he was pushed then it worries me just as much as he then goes to the club who can have anyone they want. Everybody knew he was the best in his job.
