Seems like you are constantly questioning the integrity of the people that went.

Birdy paid his own way there, and got it refunded. Now birdy would have been straight to the point And confrontational with the truth.

I've seen birdy do this myself with John Williams. Hell of a lot easier to be Frank and honest when things are this badz

Im not questioning the integrity of those that went, but it could have been done when the owners were in the UK. in fact, when they were at games, they could have engaged more with the fans. Why doers it have to take 9 members of the FF, to try and ask them to be more open and honest, and relay better comunication. It’s the owners im questioning, and its easy for them to say that they will pay for fans to come and spend a few days with them, and then those will then go back and relay what they said.

They are the owners, they shouldn’t be using members of the FF to speak on their behalf as to exactly what their intentions and plans are for the club. If they would just open their eyes, they would see exactly what everybody are seeing ie BRFC supporters and non BRFC suppporters and that the club are suffering because of their stubborness.

Great, we appreciate that the 9 members went over to make things a bit clearer to them, but why should it be a case of "okay, now we understand". The hard hitting questions keep on being left behind, while the fans sit and wonder what will happen next. If the fans are happy with the outcome of the trip, then I really do not understand this. To hear things like "we are unsettled because of the protests, or we are not happy with the protests" is a bunch of rubbish. The fans did not just start this protest, it was brought upon by the fact that the manager and the team are underperforming. More to the point, the manager and Venkys who appointed him are to blame.

Our heads are so easily turned by this good gesture by the owners, and having taken the time out to meet those that went, that we forget the real situation at present and that is results. Address the current situation, and once Kean has been removed, then other things can be discussed like Academies in India, Club Shops in India etc.

This is our club, don’t let it be destroyed by incompetant people

Bottom line Ozz, nothings changed, we're being told nothing new, and Keans still in charge, we didn't expect any different did we?

Only difference is we're now being told the same old stuff by people we know personally, instead of the media.

Good point to highlight - the owners may be "passionate" about the club, however this has only meant regression on and off the field since they became owners.

I seem to be +1'ing more and more of your posts these days GAV! We live in strange times!

I just cannot fathom why he has been retained so long, any plans they may have are in limbo at best and are months away from complete failure at worst.

Anderson is out of the picture, isn't he??

1) Nothing that was said to them, they didn't already know. They employ somebody to monitor all Blackburn Rovers related news items in the media and on message boards and file a report on a daily basis to keep them in touch with the zeitgeist.

It is interesting that Venkys employ someone to monitor messageboards. This is not just paranoia, but a genuine question -

Is this person's remit solely that of passive monitoring of the media and messageboards or does it extend to a more active intervention to promote, shall we say, a more positive slant on the Venkys by way of posting comments on here or the LET site ?

in short, this trip hasnt done anything for us as fans or club.

The only ones who gained something was the V´s, who apparently managed to bribe some fans and cuttle them into believing, the exact same promises/catchphrases, that the V´s made a year ago. Nothing but cheap V pr.

Matty /Gav - with you on this on Kean, although there is some positiviy in sorts for the future of Rovers, if not predictable at least its a bit more confirmed and official from people that alot of us know on here rather than any ambiguous reports/media; but as you say any plans are in limbo whilst Kean is still in situ.

Steb, Tom, Glen, Ewood S - despite certain area's of positivity, despite their acknowlegment of relegation it still doesn't feel like they have understood the full criteria re Kean. His tenure has gone to far and is past repair and he must be relieved of his duties - why wait another 2 weeks?

If they are on the ball about what has been going on and it upsets Balaj why isn't it hitting home - we know we have some good youngsters and are better than we are but with the loon in charge it won't matter as they will be gone before we know it and so will Rovers - there may have been misauotes/ bad and lazy reporting but there aint no denial they have not heard the B/S that has come out of Keans gob.

If someone invites you into their place and pays for you, as well as look after you, you dont go and slag them off do you.

The Pune9 represented us all, so hopefeully they've given a good account of themselves which will reflect positively on us all as supporters, that hopefully, more positives will/can come from Venky reign in the very near future for the good of us all.

They don't need to be in the UK to post on the messageboard, however I don't believe they would stoop to those depths.

The owners may have been misquoted in the past or their words taken out of context, however the fact remains Kean is still in charge and there's no media spin on that one. Despite knowing the danger the club is in, and despite the fact Kean is widely regarded as an incompetant compulsive liar (it might have been positivity at one point but he's outright lying with most of his statements at present) it is ultimately Venky's choice to keep him in place. The fact they apparently know how serious relegation would be to the club only makes it worse and even more confusing.

If they do the right thing and sack him, followed by a swift appointment of a proper manager, people will start to forgive. We may still go down and if we do Venky's will have to shoulder the deserved fury that will come their way... but the least they can do is give us a fighting chance now before it's too late!

Nobody said they had to go there, and bash the V's heads in. While the overall dialogue between the Pune 9 were good, and the positives they received from the Rao's, it still doesn't answer the questions about Kean. Those are the questions we want answered, as to why a man with the worst record imaginable is still in charge. Why he is allowed to continue with his job, when he has been convicted of a drink drive offense. Why he is still in charge, when he lacks the ability to manage and motivate his players.

Owners from a different culture, probably with little spare money, with no immediate alternative to replace Kean for the money they are prepared to pay. Would cover most things as to why, I'd have thought.

Fair enough, but then admit that they cannot afford to sack Kean, and bring in somebody else.

Nope you dont, hence me pointing out, that the pune9 has been "bribeb" and after such a luxury trip, would come back with a more positive outlook on the situation. Easy and cheap V pr and now they have some fans here on a brfc site debating/arguing their case and all because of what..??? Yep you got it, a goddamn free vacation.

The Pune9 represented us all, so hopefeully they've given a good account of themselves which will reflect positively on us all as supporters, that hopefully, more positives will/can come from Venky reign in the very near future for the good of us all.

They didnt represent me, i wasnt asked to be represented and if my pov was represented, then there wouldnt have been a pune9 at all.

I'm glad the Pune9 got a nice, free holiday to India. I'd have taken it, and damn well enjoyed myself, too! It is, however, blatantly obvious that for Venky's it has been little more for them that a great PR stunt.

The likely imminent installation of Clement as Assistant showed that they might well have talked to some of the fans, but they didn't listen.

Would have liked the Pune 9 to have had or included in the group, one with top pyschology skills and a.n.other with a complete under standing of Hindu/Indian culture, then we might just begin to get somewhere.

Detriment to the team? Since the protests began, their has been no marked decrease in performance-in fact, the Arsenal game showed a marked increase.

I find your use of the term they 'condemned them' hyperbole on your part Ewood Spark.

Steve Kean needs to be removed, the protests have, in my opinion focused minds- can only be a good for the club, wouldn't you agree ES?

If you want to help get rid of SK then you should join the protests. The owners are only going to get rid of him for failure on the pitch ... so by protesting at the Spurs game you are going do your bit to help the opposition win the game ... ergo this will help to get rid of the manager. Call me a bit of an old fashioned fanatic, but on match days I do everything in my power to help the team perform.
