Ewood Spark Posted October 13, 2011 Posted October 13, 2011 Jesus wept. 1--------if they know exactly how we feel how come they think thousands of emails were the work of a few individuals? How come they subscribe to the" tiny minority " theory about Kean's detractors? And most of all, how come he's still our manager? 2--------what do you expect the hired staff to say? In any case, since things are as bad as they are, what else can true fans do? How else to channel the anger and get change? I said before you went that I didn't feel your team truly represented the feelings of the fans and it was in response to a post from you. How bloody spineless. I hope the other 8 had more about them. Hello? ................... have you calmed down yet? Good. Now can you re-read what I wrote and understand that apart from opining that I thought the trip was the right thing to do, everything I put down was based on fact in an attempt to answer questions raised in earlier posts. I passed no personal comment on any of the three points I raised.
47er Posted October 13, 2011 Posted October 13, 2011 If you want to help get rid of SK then you should join the protests. The owners are only going to get rid of him for failure on the pitch ... so by protesting at the Spurs game you are going do your bit to help the opposition win the game ... ergo this will help to get rid of the manager. Call me a bit of an old fashioned fanatic, but on match days I do everything in my power to help the team perform. The last organised protest was followed by a win--------against Arsenal! The protests against Kean at the City game only got going when we were 3-0 down! Do you think we'd have come back from that if nobody had booed? I see the above post as a complete cop-out from your original position but will content myself with saying that the fans who protest about the disasters overtaking our club are our only hope. If everyone agreed with you that the solution to our problems is simply to keep roaring on an under-prepared and badly managed side then we are truly buggered.

The support at the Arsenal game was superb ... probably helped by the fact that the 'tremblers' were feeling a little ... er ... under the weather ... let's say .. after their foot stamping escapades in the Monsoon! As I said previously .... if you want to help get rid of SK then protest to your heart content at the Spurs game ... If they lose that game I reckon he is a gonner ( my opinion of course). If you do chose this course of action though, as somebody has written in the LT tonight ... you might as well sit in the Darwen End with the opposition.

I can identify the "deluded" but you need to enlighten me on the other group.

We cant carry on with Steve Kean in any shape or form now. Blackburn awaits the Raos to do the decent thing and pull the trigger on Keans disastrous time here at Ewood Park. The town of Blackburn and its fans await........Raos !

Seems to me if that was the case he'd be long gone by now. The outcome of this trip is really starting to drive a wedge between the P9s (who are starting to appears like Venkys apologists) and the 1%ers (who are seemingly being described as non-fans). We should all tread very carefully here...

Ummmmm .. best way to describe the 'tremblers'? .... I know .... Imagine a herd of bovinesque folk red in face and so consumed by their hatred and bile to a particular subject that they actually tremble. Sorry but that's the best I can do, as it's the image that appears in my mind's eye ... aided and abetted by several clips from YouTube.
RibbleValleyRover Posted October 13, 2011 Posted October 13, 2011 Venky's care more about their pal Steve than the fans or their investment. That's clear when they decided to back the manager by letting him bring his friend to the club as the new assistant manager. Doesn't matter about them building the Rovers brand over there, or building an academy to nuture footballing talent. Why would anyone want to be associated with a lower league club, because that's where we are heading as they have made another spectacular cock-up. Good luck to Venky's trying to market a Championship club over in India next season.
seanc88 Posted October 13, 2011 Posted October 13, 2011 According to Andy Cryer Paul clement will be announced new assistant imminently. Not looking like Kean is going anywhere fast if this happens. If the manager goes a new management team who've worked together before would be needed to save us

Its very sad that we Rovers fans are becoming polarized. With the best will in the world I'm not convinced by Venkys soothing comments .I don't believe the Pune9 are a bad bunch -but I doubt their impartiality after enjoying so much social intercourse with our owners. I think the next three weeks will determine our fate for many years to come.

Hi Mack Posted October 13, 2011 Posted October 13, 2011 By appointing Clement it will add to the protests, nothing against the bloke but It is obvious that Venkys are going to stand by that horrible man Kean for the time being.......Least Venkys listened to the fans who went to Pune? Kean has took advantage of the the fact Venkys know nothing, and has blamed everything on Jensen.......Kean has been a back-stabber since day one! Scum!
Ewood Spark Posted October 13, 2011 Posted October 13, 2011 I would rather be a trembler than a member of the blind faith and head in the sand brigade. Then tremble away to your hearts content ... I on the other hand joined the 'blind faith school' of supporting Rovers on the first day I set foot into Ewood Park way back on 20th April 1973. I would consider myself a traitor of the highest order if I had ever booed or shouted-down an employee of the club I love. So I live by the simple rule that while a player or manager (Keith Andrews, Mark Atkins or even Jim 'bloody' Iiley) is employed by the club then they get my full backing.

The club might not be there soon is Kean stays. Ive never boo'd a player. With Kean it goes beyond his incompetance, its his attitude and the way he spouts rubbish! Kean Out!
Ewood Spark Posted October 13, 2011 Posted October 13, 2011 To think you went to Pune on behalf of Rovers supporters. I never said I was going to represent anybody but myself ... but I suppose in a way I did represent the 15,500, or so, non-tremblers.
Steve Kean's Hypnotoad Posted October 13, 2011 Posted October 13, 2011 Then tremble away to your hearts content ... I admire that attitude and its one I live by 99% of the time when it comes to Rovers. But Kean must go or we'll get relegated, and instead of just sacking him Venkys are making the fans force him out. Well so be it, look at any timescale longer than 90 minutes and what the protestors are doing is for the good of the club. By the way if Venkys hire a new assistant then you'll find me playing chicken with traffic on the M65 because it will show that they have learnt absolutely nothing from Pune or the whole of the last year in general. A new manager WILL NOT WANT his right-hand man picked for him so we'll either end up with another yes man or with a manager who's already cheesed off before he even walks in the door. This really isn't funny anymore.

You would like us to show the Venkys that we now accept Kean as the manager then would you? To stop protesting would certainly indicate that. You are a disgrace to the rank and file fans and should never have accepted a trip to have represented the true supporters. Kean's sacking is a pre requisite to any improvement at Ewood.
beerwins Posted October 13, 2011 Posted October 13, 2011 I never said I was going to represent anybody but myself ... but I suppose in a way I did represent the 15,500, or so, non-tremblers. Dont presume that because 15,000 people didnt boo or follow the protest that you represent them with your blind faith. Just because 15,000 people did'nt walk down the street shouting for a manager out it does'nt mean that people have the same veiw as you. Your making yourself come across as very arrogant and ignorant and tbh if you think the club is on the up and up in our present situation you are making yourself look stupid too.
rovgers Posted October 13, 2011 Posted October 13, 2011 I never said I was going to represent anybody but myself ... but I suppose in a way I did represent the 15,500, or so, non-tremblers. I might be mistaken but are you not part of the Fans Forum and in turn are you not meant to "represent the interests of all Rovers' followers"? I also think you are mistaking the apathy amongst a lot of Rovers fans as support for Kean!
