Right. This is a first and last call for civility.

I've not wanted to get involved with moderating this thread as people will claim it's done to promote some kind of agenda, but needs must.

Disagree and debate all you want, but as soon as it gets personal and just plain offensive, people are gonna be asked to leave (well, without so much of the asking).

To paraphrase Richard J Daley (as immortalised by The Blue Brothers) - "Mods, the use of unnecessary violence in the the cleaning up of this thread, has been approved".

Now. BEHAVE! ALL OF YOU! It's like reading the bloody LT comments sections.

Fair enough Glenn. Just as long as you recognise who was first to get offensive.

Seconded ... And just to help you, you need look no further than post #2077. I don't want to name the poster or repeat the post as I have tried to not resurrect the argument.

In light of today's appointment and the likelihood of Kean being retained for the foreseeable future. Do the Pune 9 still feel as confident that their 'concerns' were taken on board?

Good question.

Would add to that today's sickening bullsh1t from Kean and further alienation of supporters.

IMV, either, the Pune 9 misinterpreted what Balaji had to say or they were treated with contempt and treated as fools.

To be honest I was a little uncomfortable asking the question because I didn't want to embarrass certain staff members who were also sitting in on the meeting. I therefore couched the question in generic terms... something along the lines of .... "One of the reasons fans are upset is because certain well loved and respected members of staff have been got rid of in the last six months or so...". The response was that these members of staff had left of their own accord. The point was not pushed any further.

I was afraid of that.

They have hired an assistant on a rolling contract, we need an assistant. The Pune 9 went out there to establish a better line of communication between owners and fans...it cannot be judged on success or failure whether or not Kean is sacked or not.

I firmly believe if results don't pick up Kean will be fired.

We were told that concerns over Kean were pressed hard and all the 'right noises' came back. Today, Kean has, IMV, stuck two fingers up to the fans and said the owners back him to the hilt.

In my book, something doesn't add-up.

I think es recalls that wrong. I really would love to have minuted or recorded it.

I can't say much more than we did our bit by raising fans concerns. We can't influence actions any more then we did.

That wasn't an offensive post. To the point certainly, unlikely to be appreciated by you, fair comment----- not offensive.

Offensive is talking about your fellow fans as "tremblers', comparing them to Lord Haw Haw-----a hated traitor, or describing the fans who went on the protest as "bovine,red-faced' whatever else you said, taking pleasure in the fact they get soaked on the day etc etc.

Really, you haven't a clue and whoever sent you over to represent us didn't have a clue either. Your response when asked about your questions to Balaji further illustrates your unsuitability------imo.

But that's it, in the interests of the board I won't post on this thread again except to ask questions about details of the discussions should they ever be revealed.

Don't disagree and understood that the 'right noises' were given to you. If this is the case, Kean's bullsh1t today makes a mockery of what Balaji coveyed / intimated to you.

Funny sometimes how the internet makes things far worse than they are. I've spoken to a good few critics face to face and its ended up cordial and understanding. I will guarantee the same if you spoke to Ewood spark.

At end of the day we all want the same thing.

Ultimately everyone on this board is a Rovers fan (bar the odd 6 fingered imposter). I am sure most people have a lot of common ground, even if some opinions differ.

As one of the protesters, I found some of Ewood Spark's sweeping statements annoying but let them ride. Nor would I get in a slanging match.

As members of the Pune 9 you did what you could, fair play. Whether they paid you lip service on several issues is open to debate.

Those who wish to protest, should be able to make their points, in their way. Just as you made yours.

Fair enough my 'spineless' friend.

I said I wouldn't post again on this thread but you've taken advantage of that to start it up again.

Put the word "spineless" in the context I put it. Then read your own post 2203 and see if it fits.

You go all the way to India to speak for us but you're embarrassed about speaking in front of certain staff so you don't press the point!-------- your own words.

When it came to it, you couldn't do what was required on behalf of all of us because you didn't have the guts---but you mock the protesters who do have the guts.

Now---I don't care what else you have to say, that is it from me on you.

In the end we are all Rovers supporters and I hope we do win today even though I know what the consequences will be. I can't help it, I'm a supporter.

Mercerman - quit bypassing the swear filter

Spark - are you sure post 2077 is the one you meant? Looks pretty fair to me?

Hi Tom. It was the following sentence I took offence to :-

"How bloody spineless.

I hope the other 8 had more about them."

This was in response to a factual post #2074 in which I had intended to add more detail to the press release. I will accept criticism where due, but I felt in this context it was uncalled for ... I responded with a volley of defensive fire.
