OZTHEMAN
We all know that the footballer with the fastest hat-trick in European champions league once tried to clean up football, sadly he himself with his team Luton got cleaned up.. I was reading an article and wondered what most of our fans think? you can google.. "Top agent lifts the lid on football's murky secrets" or the link is... http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2040773/Andy-Carrolls-agent-reveals-footballs-dirty-secrets.html? Seggie
Might possibly be true but: He sounds like a bloke with a massive case of sour grapes It's in the Daily mail

Seggie
What's it being in the Mail got to do with it? Direct quotes. I can't get quotes ATM as I'm on my phone but it's more the striking circumstance that it's one shark bitten by another and now has gone to the most sensationalist paper we have here in thus country because he's lost a bit of money off the most ridiculously overpriced transfer ever. Also the thread title is a bit deceiving, where's the managers? Where's the proof???
ElTwis
What? Agents are dodgy? Money attracts people who don't care about the game? Sometimes managers are involved? I've not been this shocked since I discovered some politicians claim more expenses than they technically should.

OZTHEMAN
Oh well, can't see it being Kean then lol .. Sam Allerdyce could be one but whose the other?
tony gale's mic
Redknapp and Allardyce would be the two obvious choices only due to previous whispers, I always said don't tar Allardyce with that brush unless anything is proven, but if this guy were to have proof on him (or anyone else) then that'd be a different matter; if not then Sam could make another load of money from libel. If any manager is named and shamed none of them will even dare walk the path of libel.. they are so deeply engrossed in it that they know that if they do take it further they would have a much bigger chance of being exposed and a lot more being exposed..IMO All of them will turn a blind eye hide and think nothing of it and I personally can't see the FA doing anything either as they are just as libel as the others.. It is a huge triangle, and one end, one day will snap.. Which one first?

Baz
Well hopefully they wont give this to the bbc. If they give this to that Panorama guy who stalks Jack Warner then it'll be buried very easily. Also, I'd agree the guy has only come clean because he missed out on his payday from Carroll. I don't believe Sam ever took the case to court despite threatening it did he? Or did he make money from another case? I think this article only says what most people think goes on in football, which is why it makes me laugh when some people on here say Rovers are a laughing stock in the football world - so what and who cares! Amo
Come off it. Old 'honest 'Arry doesn't even know what his players are earning. You can't believe he'd be involved with any backhanders.

arbitro
Andy Carroll's new agent, Mark Curtis, also represents Sam Allardyce. Personally I would love the lid to be blown off the whole sordid world but I doubt very much whether it will. Potential legal action, weak governance and a host of other things usually ensures that these things never go any further than a weak TV documentary. Billy Castell
Nowt will come of it, and the parasitic scum that ruin this game will continue to drain its lifeblood. The Chinese occaisionally execute people for corruption, and only crazy stuff like that will clean up football. The FA/Premier League/UEFA/FIFA are either too weak or bent themselves to do anything. RovertheHill
so basically football is corrupt but thats the way it is just accept it and get a life? been thinking for a while that your cycling motif may signal something other that straight-forward competition. I think you have misinterpreted my post. Your first sentence above is not what I intended to convey. My intention was to suggest that people claiming we are a laughing stock in the football world should stop using it as a "positive" argument when in fact it isn't. Who cares what the football world thinks? If they aren't corrupt then they are morally bankrupt and greedy. Now, tell me what you mean by that second sentence just so I don't misinterpret it

FIFA are bent we know they are but if the FA think they are straight they are having a laugh.. they are more bent than FIFA.. With what happened to M.Newell there is enough proof that they side more with those who hand out bungs than wanting to clean up the game..here is some more PROOF! http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-455153/Exposed-The-Chairman-paid-agents-150-000-bungs.html
