Our twins (boy & girl) were very premature due to our daughter really struggling from 24 weeks onwards so the decision was taken to take them out to give them both the best chance. Our daughter was 1lb 11oz the lad 3lb 8oz, our lass had a few tough weeks battling the odds but is doing great now and her brother is just an absolute beast  . We had three months in the neonatal unit so know a thing or two. Good luck and if you need any help you know where I am.

Congratulations on becoming a grandad. 1 lb 9oz sounds rather scarily small. I hope all goes well.

I somehow reeckon you'll be a really good grandad (I nearly typed "a great grandad," but that may have been confusing.) I just can't put my finger on it somehow....... Motor bike..... five year old....No doubt you'll be much more fun than the dour old buggers who were mine.

Enjoy.

Great news Abbey! Sounds like he's coming along nicely.

We know how difficult it is as our little lad George arrived at 27 weeks and spent his first 10 weeks in neonatal. All the best to you and your family, especially the little man.

Great news Abbey. Its a strange place this website. Move away from the football side of things and there is lots of love and caring for people. A place where people can share things and receive genuine advice with no agenda. I only wish some of it would filter its way through to the messageboard every so often.

Glad the your grandson is doing so well after such difficult circumstances. All the best going forward.
