mozsupportsrovers Posted September 24, 2011 Posted September 24, 2011 Hi, just thought I'd post this as I have been left very dissapointed by this tonight Me and a friend met Steve kean tonight as he exited St James park. We both asked him for a minute of his time to ask a few questions. He refused. His dismay of us both was disgusting. We asked were certain players were and why certain things were happening. Again he blanked us. We questioned him more, not being nasty at all. He still refused. Yet at the same time answering every question by the newcatle fans. Eventually he walked away leaving us disappointed. Then all of a sudden John Jensen jumped off the coach and seemed very embarred for what had happened. He answered our questions away from the crowd and came across politely and with dignity. Chris samba then also came over to us and spoke about the happenings at the club, again we thanked him for his time. Steve kean portrayed tonight the man who is gagged by the club and who is not interested in communicating with the fans. Truly dissapointed

What was said by Jensen and Samba then?
Mattyblue Posted September 24, 2011 Posted September 24, 2011 Shame you didn't have a microphone or camera, you wouldn't have been able to shut him up.
whalleyrover Posted September 24, 2011 Posted September 24, 2011 What happenings did Samba refer to? KEAN OUT NOW

Truly dissapointed He was probably disappointed also Moz, this contradicts everything we know about Steve Kean so far, hes extremely approachable usually, maybe just had an off day.
mozsupportsrovers Posted September 24, 2011 Author Posted September 24, 2011 Jensens response was mainly, "I am not the manager, sorry you feel this way" I questioned sambas leadership since the arsenal talk, he said "I'm trying my best and we are all dissapointed" These were too be expected and we thanked them for at least talking to us. Kean on the other hand was extremely rude and we were left dissapointed. We didn't expect any in depth responses from him but a short talk with us would have surviced. I asked 5 times if we could have 2 minutes of his time, away from the crowd of Newcastle fans. He refused. Worst of all was when my friend said "Steve we are true fans, we are not the protestors, we have spent a lot of money today" His response "oh well" I hate to say this as I was willing to give him a bit more time. Not now. I'm not bullshitting or rumour spreading but just think you all deserve to know what a horrible man we have in charge. Thankyou
Roverall Posted September 24, 2011 Posted September 24, 2011 Worst of all was when my friend said "Steve we are true fans, we are not the protestors, we have spent a lot of money today" His response "oh well" I hate to say this as I was willing to give him a bit more time. roverandout Posted September 24, 2011 Posted September 24, 2011 i dont like your jibe, 'we are not protestors, we are true fans' i was at the protest and im a true fan, being at the protest doesnt make me any less of a fan than you.
mozsupportsrovers Posted September 24, 2011 Author Posted September 24, 2011 No sorry I don't think the comment was to suggest that those on the protest were not true fans. It was more to say to Steve that we personally were not on the march No offence

Stop jumping on everybodies back when they say something about the protest. He couldn't exactly say "I'm one of those protesters from last week can we have a chat" could he?
Seggie Posted September 24, 2011 Posted September 24, 2011 400k a year and he ignores the fans who are essentially customers of the club. If anybody in a normal job behaved like that to their customers they wouldn't last long in it.

Thankyou Very disappointing - but maybe the sign of a man under pressure ? I don't think our owners are daft - and even following Arsenal he will have still been under pressure to deliver. As many have said - he should be judged on his points total - to keep this up he has now left himself with having to get a point against the team that will either be Champions or come second.
Darwen Rover Posted September 24, 2011 Posted September 24, 2011 What a complete disgrace... GET RID ASAP!!! Chris - sick of speaking to fans.. Well us fans are sick of tactless performances... From a pompous self centred 'my bosses love me f.. U lot' idiot!!
OZTHEMAN Posted September 24, 2011 Posted September 24, 2011 He was probably disappointed also Moz, this contradicts everything we know about Steve Kean so far, hes extremely approachable usually, maybe just had an off day. Kean is only approachable if you have BBC or SKY on your jacket.. OR if he desperate to make fans feel that things are turning around like last week, his desperation showed on Radio Lancs where mostly those who agreed with him were allowed on..this has left a lot of his fans, this week with their faces red.. KEAN OUT

KEAN OUT That simply isn't true OZ, he's gone out of his way to speak to fans on numerous occasions over his time in charge. I want him out, but we need a balanced view of things.
arbitro Posted September 24, 2011 Posted September 24, 2011 He is arrogant in the extreme and the disdain he showed to these Rovers supporters is nothing short of a disgrace. I firmly believe that, from the fans perspective, the tide is turning. When he took Yakubu off today there was a chant of 'you don't know what you're doing' from a significant number of Rovers fans. I heard lots of anti Kean stuff at the final whistle in the ground and as we made our way to the city centre to our car. FFS even Newcastle fans were sympathetic towards us.
roverandout Posted September 24, 2011 Posted September 24, 2011 ok, no problem moz, i didnt take it personally, just saying.
roverzee Posted September 24, 2011 Posted September 24, 2011 400k a year and he ignores the fans who are essentially customers of the club. If anybody in a normal job behaved like that to their customers they wouldn't last long in it. Maybe that is part of the problem? Allardyce was reported to be on 2.7 million a year, now so we have a 7 times cheaper manager.

Thankyou In a post from 27th august, you said that Steve Kean had to go. But here you say that you were willing to give him more time?
Amo Posted September 24, 2011 Posted September 24, 2011 He's a man under pressure, who's been made to look rather silly after waxing lyrical all week over one victory.
ABBEY Posted September 24, 2011 Posted September 24, 2011 Anyone could have made this up tho! Your a true supporter not a protester! Pillock!
mozsupportsrovers Posted September 24, 2011 Author Posted September 24, 2011 @Sergio Peter. I did say I was against him, then he said judge me after the transfer window. I changed my mind to give him ago. Only my opinion I don't want to cause a fuss with it but only reporting the truth. He was arrogant tonight and it has left a bitter taste in my mouth.
