JAL
He's a man under pressure, who's been made to look rather silly after waxing lyrical all week over one victory. Then pile that pressure on.

SergioPeter89
@Sergio Peter. I did say I was against him, then he said judge me after the transfer window. I changed my mind to give him ago. Only my opinion I don't want to cause a fuss with it but only reporting the truth. He was arrogant tonight and it has left a bitter taste in my mouth. Thank you for your answer. Im so sick of Kean now. Kean out!
Jock
Sounds like you met Walter Mitty, the man who pretends he's a football manager.
Magpie
You don't normally expect to get big answers out of managers but "oh well" is a ridiculous thing to say. Thought he was a decent guy who just happens to be a poor football manager.

Mercer
Jensens response was mainly, "I am not the manager, sorry you feel this way" I questioned sambas leadership since the arsenal talk, he said "I'm trying my best and we are all dissapointed" These were too be expected and we thanked them for at least talking to us. Kean on the other hand was extremely rude and we were left dissapointed. We didn't expect any in depth responses from him but a short talk with us would have surviced. I asked 5 times if we could have 2 minutes of his time, away from the crowd of Newcastle fans. He refused. Worst of all was when my friend said "Steve we are true fans, we are not the protestors, we have spent a lot of money today" His response "oh well" I hate to say this as I was willing to give him a bit more time. Not now. I'm not bullshitting or rumour spreading but just think you all deserve to know what a horrible man we have in charge. Thankyou I would email this to every media organisation you can. IMO, underlines what a two faced b@st@rd we have as manager.

modes98
Steve kean portrayed tonight the man who is gagged by the club and who is not interested in communicating with the fans. Truly dissapointed I don't think he is gagged at all. I just think he is an arrogant .... who thinks he can do and say whatever he wants and we will take it. At the end of the day he is answerable to us as fans, if we don't go to games then there is no club or job for him. You have every right to be. You should get on to Uncle Venky's and tell them for all the good it'll do. Disrespect of the highest order.
Hi Mack
He is very arrogant, there is more info about Kean that doesnt shed him a good light. theres members on this board that are keeping it to themselves to avoid getting in to bother! Kean out and save our season!!!
Steve Moss
I don't think he is gagged at all. I just think he is an arrogant .... There are two types of arrogance in my opinion, that which is earned (and goes to one's head) and false arrogance originating from poor self-esteem. As I'm uncertain what Kean has earned, it is my opinion that he has the false arrogance of a man who has very little in the way of self esteem. He needs to grow up and accept some responsibility. waggy
400k a year and he ignores the fans who are essentially customers of the club. If anybody in a normal job behaved like that to their customers they wouldn't last long in it. if thats all what kean gets paid no wonder we can,t attrect a decent manager, pay peanuts you get monkeys
roversmum
In all truth, the man is probably as fed up as we are with his underperforming team. I'm not sure you could realistically expect him to trot off into a corner to discuss his failings, doubtless he is well aware of them, and the squad were on the coach waiting for him. I have also known managers who have been a lot ruder and more 'disrespectful' towards fans, not that that excuses it at all. I'm beginning to get that 'Sam' feeling... 'I am the Expert' etc.

He was completely right to say he's an expert, since he's had a successful management career.

'I am the Expert' etc. He might well be fed up of his under performing team but then he has to ask why are they under performing. The buck stops with him and in my opinion he has to admit he isn't good enough to be a manager and do the honorable thing and resign. As has been said many times before it's his team now, his tactics and game plan and we are coming up short.

47er
if thats all what kean gets paid no wonder we can,t attrect a decent manager, pay peanuts you get monkeys We used to ask why he got appointed--that's it. Venkys were persuaded by someone that what they were paying 2M a year for could be done for 400000 quid. And at the same time Kean would play more attractive football and get us into Europe. Unsurprisingly it hasn't happened. In all truth, the man is probably as fed up as we are with his underperforming team. 'I am the Expert' etc. I completely agree with you. For what it's worth, I am not a particularly great fan of Kean as Manager nor Venky's, but I think this is being blown out of proportion. Do you really think Fergie would have stopped for a 'two minute' chat with 2 fans who had waited around to clearly have a bit of a moan at him, if the team bus was waiting and Man Utd had just been beat? Do you really think that Mike Phelan would have then got off the bus to chat, followed by Rio Ferdinand? Thought not. I think if i was in Kean's position I would have declined to speak as well. The fact that he appeared on Radio Lancs for an hour, plus doing a lengthy podcast with BRFCS, plus has been known to generally speak with fans, is more than a lot of other premier league managers would do. I have been a big critic of Kean in respect of his managerial capabilities, but I dont believe he should be villified for this.
Billy Castell
I sort of agree with Roversmum. He was probably not in the mood to discuss matters after another bad display, had to board the coach and was generally down with the way things have gone. He could have been ruder to the thread starter, as I can imagine Strachan, Ferguson or Kinnear would be in that situation. To attack Roversmum and call her some sort of sort of Venky's apologist for daring to put across a view other than 'Kean is as bad as Hitler and caused the recession' just shows how petty and frankly 1 dimensional posters can be on this board. She is a valuable contributor on this site and is a relief from the more imbalanced posts on this board (and I include a few of mine in that).
