That game today was just the usual Kean shambles.. same old story from Kean though..

1 - Striker playing on the wing (Rochina, Goodwillie and Jnr who can't track back all been played there).. why we had goodwillie there when Simon was on the bench totally escapes me.

2 - No passion in midfield, Nzonzi tried harder than I have seen him all season until the goal but he still lacks the important defensive midfielder abilities of passion, tenacity, leadership, communication and guile.

3 - Team void of any inspiration and communication beyond defense (even there it seems to be dwindling).

4 - Yet again no plan B.. 1 second half sub still it beats us taking off a striker for a more defensive player when loosing.

5 - We can't keep hold of the ball and it is getting worse.. opposition posession (latest game first) - h65%/a59%/h57%/a50%/h49%/a56%/h55%

6 - Yet another second half collapse

7 - We are shipping goals still (worst defensive record in the league now.. and that says allot given some of the big scoring games like manU scoring 8 v Arse)

For me Man City just went through the motions and played in 3rd gear for most of the match.. they upped it to second gear for 20mins then just slipped back to a comfortable speed.

Kean can't even get Sam style tactics right.. which is basically what we played today.

:rover: due to stomach issues i watched this match at home, first half we played 10 men behind the ball and let citeh play with us,2nd half when they scored we were lost.i have several compliants but the one i will make a big issue about is pedersen.the 3rd goal poor lowe had to run round him to challenge nasri, whilst gamst had his hand in the air waiting for a non existant flag.a senior professional who does not give a hoot, yes we have problems with the manager but when you get senior pro,s not giving a hoot it shows whats wrong with the club.

robbo 6 did nothing wrong

lowe 5 never a full back but tried his heart out

samba 5 gave up,as captian a BLOODY DISGRACE

dann 5 average player who played very average

givet 6 best game at lb,but we lose 4-0

pedersen 3 bloody disgrace

petrovic 1 did we get a basketball player instead of a footballer, makes kieth look like cruyff

nzonzi 5 stood and watched the 4th goal

goodwillie 4 never a winger

hoillet 7 goodbye junior

yak 5 feed the yak he will score, the guys starving

forget your gripes with kean

I agree with Beerwins - its up to Venkys to sort out their Investment in Rovers.

The situation is still not as bad as Ince's last game at Wigan...the players did well for 55 minutes against a team you all expected us to get lynched by(and some wanted)

And after the first defeats by Wolves and lucky Everton we had to be in trouble for the first 3 months of the Season, with that fixture list.

QPR away is Kean's moment now....and then a lucky manager gets to take over a talented squad and find a player who can convert to full back quickly(usually not too difficult)

BUT THE CLUB IS THE FANS...NOT THE PLAYERS,MANAGER,DIRECTORS. Only Jack Walker, the Cotton family and Bob Crompton have ever broken that rule. So Kean is on his last legs...the difficult job is finding the ight replacement(remember Kiddo)

7 1/2 hours in the car for me. I'm afraid my season ticket will now remain unused until Kean leaves our club. I am not willing to sacrifice my Saturday for him anymore. I shall spend the day with my wife and daughter instead.

VENKYS OUT :angry::brfcsmilie:

Don't think the gripes with Kean should stop Waggy but agree that stock needs to be taken with Venkys -problem is who the hell would take over now?

For those downing the chanting yesterday ... ask yourself if that was a team playing for manager? It was an absolute shambles from the kick off - set up for a draw (at home) with an unfit striker on the wing.

We where lucky Citeh didn't get out of first gear yesteday as it could easily have been double figures -played like that against any team yesterday and the result would have been the same outcome.

AN ABSOLUTE DISGRACE OF THE HIGHEST ORDER.

A total disgrace.

Yes we did limit City to one chance in the first half hour, however, you could sense the screw turning just before half time when City had 3 or 4 decent efforts.

As for the management of this team - Kean went into the technical area once, got booed and wasn't seen again.

Petra starting - where tf is Grella again, Goodwillie out of position, just one substitution (would other players not go on ?!?!).

We really looked absolutely demoralised in the end and little wonder.

I will not be going to Ewood again until this buffoon is removed.

Let's be honest, there was no way in hell we were going to compete against Citeh yesterday. The gulf in class is ridiculous. We don't even deserve to be in the same league as them.

I think the best indication (if the 4-0 scoreline wasn't enough) was when the subs came out to warm up. Citeh had over £90m worth of player jogging along the sideline at one point. We had £3.5m.

It was always going to be a backs against the wall job. The soft Johnson goal (although they were all soft) broke our backs. The belief drained from the team as they realised they were never going to score against Citeh and capitulated. Obviously that is on the manager, but the professionalism of the players does have to be called into question. If you're being paid £20k a week, ###### close down the Citeh player regardless of the scoreline.

I actually don't think this performance was the one to pin a protest on. It's been the performances since January. It's a very easy spin for the media/Kean to say the fans are overreacting to a result in a match we were never going to win.

Its a pity that every player didn't have the same attitude as Formica when he came on. The lad ran himself into the ground, chasing every ball, closing down and showing just how it needs to be done against a more talented team.

Sitting back and letting City dictate the game was only going to be good enough as long as we didn't concede

If we play like that against any Premiership team, we won't win. It may not be 4-0 but it won't be 3 points. Where are these points to come from? I watch the other clubs------Norwich, QPR, even Wigan and they all look better teams than we do.

At the beginning of the season people mocked anyone who said we would struggle ("Doom-mongers"!) and they would reel off a list of the the teams who would be worse than us. Right now I don't see any.

Absolute rubbish ....as I posted after the Arsenal game people always come up with this tripe (funny how Fulham managed to do it from 2 nil down)

Over a season yes ... not in a one of match.

Our tails should have been up not just from the win in the last match but the bollocking that should have come from the disgrace last week.

Citeh had their own in-house turmoil and also played in Europe this week (and got beat) something that people use and still use for when we have midweek excursions.

The performance was a disgrace simple and the manager is a joke.

I only live around the corner from Ewood and do you know what Ricky,I'm starting to think the same way....and it pains me to say it.

Kean and Venky's are systematically destroying our beloved club and I dont want to be part of their little scheme in any way.

Jesus wept! what a situation we face :(

Fulham went 2-0 down against City and came back to draw 2-2. City had a much stronger team out that day as well.

yes Man United sometimes lose to lower teams and Man city drew with Fulham but its getting RARE.

I don;t know what game you saw but City were a diffrent league to us.

We played to our max potential first half and still had only about 37% of the ball.

We were massively out classed, look at the first goal.

Icouldn't see us winning unless City were having a massive off day and we got VERY lucky.

We have made Ewood hell for teams like City for years, the argument over their quality being way better does not wash.

As soon as the first goal went in, the players knew there was no point playing the system they were playing.

No new instructions passed from the bench, no well we may as well go down fighting spirit.... Just no one to take charge, no leadership on or off the pitch.

Said this after the Everton game and was told by people on this board I didn't know what I was talking about.

Shall we have the same discussion now?

I have always had a go at people who say this, I use to get to every game! ut now Im really down about Rovers on the whole.

Under the trust and the old regime you knew they were working very hard behind the scenes (JW,TF etc) and were doing all they could for the club and fans!

Ok the money wasnt there but they did do all they could! It is a shame that we couldnt spend the money when Hughes was here.

In all honesty Kean looks to have wasted a lot of cash that I think a better manager than Kean would have spent more effectively. Rochina Formica and Goodwillie

are all similar(ish) players....we are weak at both full back positions and CM yet these positions were overlooked and Petrovic looks a long way off the pace/standard.

Venkys have to sack KeanOR the next protests may be aimed in their direction......people are losing patience.

Totally agreed.

The gulf in managerial calibre between Martin Jol and Steve Kean became a yawning chasm yesterday- Jol set Fulham up to fight against City, Kean set Rovers up to surrender.

Well that's the problem isn't it. The sooner UEFA get their Super League up and running the better for all concerned. Watching Citeh, Utd, Chelski etc buy whoever they want and steamroll teams got old about a decade ago.

That I don't dispute ER and wouldn't argue anything against it (my P/L love in has never been there)

My argument is the Rovers displays since the installment of our current unsackable.

Coming back to your previous post, yes getting beat by Citeh is not a disgrace given the financial gap as you put it, putting up a performance like we did and have been is (and the future we forsee).

Arsenal have sold their star players are not the force they were and I said we would have to be LUCKY, we were very lucky.

Man City have invested something like half a billion.

The only way I could see us beating Man City was if we put a bus infront of the goal.

I'm not denying that big team lose to small clubs, but its fairly rare.

As much as I dislike Kean, we have to consider that Man City are justr a much much better side.

That Silva is magic, and Nasri too and their £30 million fourth choice striker had a decent game too.

“Munich were unbelievably aggressive without the ball, they had three or four closing down the ball. You have to get close to them" - Kean, before the game.

So.... Was this a lie?

Was it what he wanted to do but couldn't implement?

Did he tell the players to do this but they ignored him?

Was he trying to play a little trick on City, making them think we were going to be good?

Will he be fired before I also postpone my Rovers support?

I'm not giving any more money to a club that doesn't care about me, in fact they think I'm a moron!

I have a season ticket but I'm not going to buy a shirt or go to cup games.

When Venkys start behaving like responsible and committed owners I'll return the support my family have been giving for generations.
