Backroom DE. Posted October 1, 2011 Backroom Share Posted October 1, 2011 Is it wrong of me to hope we get a pasting today? Probably - your intentions for wanting us to lose (wanting Kean out) are valid enough, but the fact is there's no guarantee if we lose he'll go. Literally the only scenario where I'd want Rovers to lose today is if it 100% guaranteed Kean would be unceremoniously booted out of the club once and for all. If (or when) we do lose, I'm not going to lose too much sleep over it because any loss is surely at least one step closer to Kean getting the axe... but I still won't be wishing for us to lose today. Lathund
I want us to win. But if we lose, I'd rather see them outclass us than losing by a one goal margin in a close game. Either way it's a loss, and while it might mean a -3 goal difference it could be worth it. Though I have to say I'm rather conflicted about it all. My prediction is a 1-4 loss. DeadlyDirk
If youre reading this, Mancini, heres our secret plan of the day! Rovers to copy Bayern What the hell is this joker on, is he just insane or what? Oh yes overnight we can just suddenly play like Bayern. Why stop at Bayern Munich how about we just play like Barcelona and hammer them off the park.
Stuart
Oddly, I'm very relaxed about, if not looking forward, to the game today. I am utterly convinced we will lose so there is no pressure at all. I just hope the players don't feel the same way or it could be a cricket score! Pugg
Got my blue stripe in my hair, my sunglasses on and looking forward to watching rovers in nice weather. I just hope something positive comes from today...either a win or Kean sacked.

Seggie
As the football manager team talk goes, we have nothing to lose. A positive to this is I once used this when I played Real with Rovers in a cl game and won 6-
Wing Wizard Windy Miller
Normally when you expect the worst from rovers, you are often pleasantly surprised by a battling draw or the like. Having said that, I just cannot see Rovers coping out wide with the likes of Silva and Nasri - never mind Kun Aguerro. 0-3 to City - all goals in second half Edit: Oh yeah - and KEAN OUT!!! Derbyshire Blue
Just about to set off across the Rhein to a little Ice Cream Parlour to watch the game on German Sky de... with the weirdest feeling, but I know I'm not alone. Never in my wildest dreams since that day in 1968 I fell in love with Ewood and everything Rovers did I ever think one day I'd want to see them loose. Why stop at Bayern Munich how about we just play like Barcelona and hammer them off the park. Just like we copied a Sunday league team against Newcastle. What a complete bellend!! Copy Bayern, he couldn't copy a piece of paper. Just copy Jensen and gtf out!!!!!!!!!
HemelRover
City team: Hart, Zabaleta, Kompany, Lescott, Kolarov, Toure, Milner, Johnson, Silva, Balotelli, Aguero 2 names I was really hoping not to see. Johnson will cause us so many problems just by running at whomever we can stick in at Lb and Aguero is just scary.
RibbleValleyRover
Rovers playing a 4 man midfield with Pedersen in it against City? If City are fired up this could be brutal.

Backroom Tom Posted October 1, 2011 Backroom Share Posted October 1, 2011 Surely pedersen has to play on the right to help out Lowe as Hoilett and Lowe will get ripped apart
JWUpper
Anybody else think Kean would be crazy enough to play 4-3-3 with Ped in centre mid with goodwillie, yak & hoilet up front? Either way, best of luck to the boys!
