@matthewstanger Posted September 26, 2011 Posted September 26, 2011 So the Accy Stanley suggestion didn't go down too well, and I appreciate people's thoughts on that. But I still think that Kean needs to go sooner rather than later. A message must be given to Venky's so that they realise how the fans feel about Kean's management. I don't believe they watch all the matches. I don't believe they will hear people chanting anti-Kean songs at Ewood. So I think we need something visual to attract their attention. The idea - With 5 minutes to go in the Man City match on Saturday, we all turn our backs on the Kean. We turn to face away from the pitch for 30-60 seconds. The press cameras go wild. They're snap happy at the story. The pictures are in every Sunday paper. People are talking about it. Venky's will obviously end up seeing the images. It will make a bold statement. Thoughts? COYB, Matt

roverandout Posted September 26, 2011 Posted September 26, 2011 might as well turn our backs for the ninety mins, we wont miss much apart from a barage of city goals.
@matthewstanger Posted September 26, 2011 Author Posted September 26, 2011 And for anyone who thinks: 1) That Kean deserves more time 2) That Venky's will eventually make the right decision 3) That we don't need to do anything to force the issue. Here's Kean's Premier League record in Black and White one more time: Played 27 Won 6 Drawn 8 Lost 13 Goals For 31 Goals Against 45 Points 26 - an average of less than 1 point per game Only 4 clean sheets There's plenty of other stats as well, such as Kean saying we play good football but in every match we've played this season the opposition has had a better pass completion rate than us. He should've gone by now. It's one of the worst managerial records of all time. COYB
Andy Posted September 26, 2011 Posted September 26, 2011 I think any action from the crowd needs to be at the start of the game, rather than the end. If it's towards the end of the game, once we've already lost, half of the crowd will be on their way out of the ground and Kean will use the defeat as an excuse for the discontent. More people will notice if we make some kind of statement against Kean pre-kick off, but make it clear that we're still supporting the players. The important thing to get across is that we're far from being a minority and that Kean cannot be allowed to continue taking our club in the wrong direction.
@matthewstanger Posted September 26, 2011 Author Posted September 26, 2011 We could do it after 5 minutes then Andy? And after that just get on with supporting the team. What do you think? I really believe the visual statement will go a long way. Think about seeing it in all the papers and knowing that Venky's will see the images. COYB

Andy Posted September 26, 2011 Posted September 26, 2011 Definitely - I think that's a good idea. Some people seem to think that berating Kean and supporting the players cannot be done alongside each other, but I don't see why not. Most of the players aren't stupid and know that the majority of the fans want Kean gone - we just need to get that message across to both the media and the owners. If the owners know this, see how poor we are under Kean and still take no action, then maybe it'll be time to start taking action against them...
Backroom Tom Posted September 26, 2011 Backroom Posted September 26, 2011 You want to get on the phone to Dr Who, Jim Bowen and Wayne Hemingway and copy Liverpool
@matthewstanger Posted September 26, 2011 Author Posted September 26, 2011 jeez you're patronising Sorry Sparky Marky, don't mean to come across that way. But last time I got a lot of responses saying that Venky's will make the decision sooner or later or that a bit more time won't cause any more harm. But given his record, if Venky's were to act of their own accord, surely they would've done it by now? Just trying to point out how terrible his record actually is.
beerwins Posted September 26, 2011 Posted September 26, 2011 It's pretty simple really and it goes like this 0-3 down at half time due to Silva's magical run from his own half ( it was so good they gave him 3 goals for it) Chorus starts at BB end carries through the Riverside then is blurted out by the Darwen end and then is muffled under the tartan blankets and flasks of the JW. You wont be sacked in the morning. we'll all be mourning. you wont be sacked in the morning. Rinse and repeat.

COYB, Matt I cant see it coming off tbh as all that will happen is that the citeh fans will ridicule it by doing the poznan which will get more air time as it shows them winning again!!!
Ste B Posted September 26, 2011 Posted September 26, 2011 I dont think we need 5 different protest threads, like we dont need 5 different protests.
