[Archived] Protest at the City match.

To be fair to Radio Rovers they've always taken a positive view to Rovers, which is usually just as well considering we generally have some of the most miserable, moaning fans in the country and even under Allardyce 90% of people on there were just ringing in to complain. On this occasion they're trying to defend the indefensible, but its not as if their attitude is inconsistent to previous times of struggle and I wouldn't call them Venkys stooges or anything.

Rovers fans are no different than any others, in fact I think as a wider fanbase, we are too easy going and tolerant, and don't complain nearly enough.

Radio Rovers has always been Radio Pravda, it is just more noticable in times of strife.

Well done to the protestors and Neal for the banner.

There should really have been a lot more voicing their opinions because talking to people at the ground it is hard now to find a Kean supporter.

However, most Rovers fans prefer to vote with their feet as could be seen by the masses of empty seats after 80 minutes (plus quite a few at kick-off - only 17,000 Rovers fans there today!)

When we are watching Championship football (and possibly worse)in the future the protestors will still be there, thousands more will have shuffled off - never to return.

Whilst I totally respect people's right to walk out if they wish, I believe Rovers future would have been better served if they had stayed and joined the protest to give Venkys a message they simply could not have ignored.

Very sad tonight

It's surprising the number of Rovers fans at Ewood who seem disgusted with anyone shouting for Kean's head or protesting.

You would think by this point they would see fit to keep a condescending silence.

4 points from 21, 17 goals conceded in the League, and bottom if Bolton get anything tomorrow.

I think we need a new manager but I was genuinely uncomfortable today and regardless of his abilities I felt sorry for another human being the focus 10,000+ people chanting for his head. I don't know what that makes me but I'm sure you'll all tell me.

Goes with the territory unfortunately, however it shouldn't have come to this- Ince never felt the wrath of an angry Ewood as he was potted before the lid finally came off the fanbase.

Kean should have gone before today, the fact he hasn't is a symptom of how completely unfit for purpose the football club is.

Very generous!

He's being paid a King's ransom for a Jester's show.

There are people far more deserving if your sympathies, RTH!

Indeed. He just needs to man up and walk.

I know, and I never felt any sympathy for him until today. Can't explain it but I almost left because I felt that uncomfortable. Then city scored their 4th and made the decision much easier.

its all in the game though, hes not the 1st manager to recieve stick from fans, if hes personally offended by it then its even more proof hes in the wrong job.

not to mention the fact hes paid a fortune and if/when hes booted it will be like winning the lotto for him, seriously, i have empathy for him but no sympathy, he makes more in a month than i do in more than a year.

It is never nice asking or wanting somebody to lose their job. No matter the job. But sometimes it is in the interest of all parties. Football is a global sport, receives global publicity. If Rovers were top of the league winning matches week in and week out with Kean as the manager. Kean would be given the glory for it. But that is not the case and to be honest, I believe he should say I am out of my depth and quit.

Kean is not going to improve things. Therefore he must go for the sake of all parties. For the club, the owners and the fans. But also for Kean. The pressure is only going to get worse and not better. You are judged in football by the results. Well the results for Kean speak for themselves. He should walk away from the job and take the heat off of himself. Sadly he probable will not, so it has to be done for him. None of us hate saying to ourselves, I am not good enough. The wage Kean is on is probable the best he has ever had, therefore hard to give up. He is only 44 years old. It will be hard for him to get another job in football after Rovers. Though if he resigned, it may actually help him do so.

Kean has to be sacked for the sake of all parties. Not nice, but must be done.

I don't disagree with anything you are saying, especially the money thing. It's a bit like Keith Andrews - promoted beyond ability.

The kindest thing all round, and the best for our club, would be to put him out of his misery - are you listening Venky's?

Encapsulates my thinking also. Not nice but if he stay's the chances are a lot more people will loose their jobs come next May.

Although disappointed with today's scoreline I feel surprisingly positive after staying behind. Surely the owners have got to take note, if not straight away then his sacking must be looming. Each poor result will add to the momentum that's building with us fans. We will get this pillock out of our club. Viva la revolution!

Cant believe people trying to play down the numbers who stopped behind today(Press, Radio ect), I can tell you it was not 100 or 200-300, Try 1200-1500 for first 15-20 minutes then the crowd got smaller, and around 500 saw it through until the end.

This was a massive statement.

For 70 minutes you could hear a pin drop within the home section, never known it this quiet in 30 Years I have been going, once the third goal went in, then the crowd turned on the Manager.

By this time, the usual suspects were heading for the exits, but just pleased that others chose to stay and vent their frustration because this is the only way this Manager is going to go.

Good to see you at the protest today Glenn. We did the fans proud.

Total respect to the four lads in the JW who questioned the enthusiastic stewards' rights after the game - was about the only thing to be proud of all day. Not enough stayed behind and it was a bit odd that some were vociferously singing kean out whilst walking out at the final whistle.

Still if this protest doesn't work then NEVER GIVE UP - let people choose their pre, during or post match preference to protest - and keep doing it - whatever it takes to get the blue flag flying high.

KEAN OUT!

SOMEONE WHO LOVES THE CLUB/FOOTBALL IN!
