Everyone should get behind the team until, or if, there reaches a point when the game is up, with no way of Rovers coming back. Then and only then should there be a protest or show of discontent, but not before please. :rover:

That will be after about 5 minutes then

If we lose badly and match and post match protests go ahead, the coup de grace could be delivered by the Pune 9 issuing a collective statement to the press stating that they will not be going to India as the club is clearly in deep crisis and the Raos need to get over here immediately, sack Kean and appoint an experienced manager as quickly as possible.

Now that would make excellent press and create huge embarrassment and PR issues for Venky's.

People refuse a free trip to India for Blackburn Rovers?

That WOULD separate the men from the boys.

I like this idea. But I really feel if anything is to happen, it should be after QPR. A smashing is inevitable with Citeh, regardless of manager. A bad result at QPR, and that's a lot more potent (and looks a lot better on Venky's part) for a sacking/pay-off.

THE PROBLEM IS, A REPLACEMENT MUST BE LINED UP. LIST OR NO LIST, THERE HAS TO BE A REPLACEMENT READY TO JUMP IN. Otherwise, you can forget it.

This (The staying silent for 10 minutes part) is a very noticable protest, but like in that game requires the two sets of fans to cooperate so won't happen.

(Oh and I don't think it needs to be said that I don't support the usage of flares to intentionally halt the game at the start of the second half. Nor do I support the motives behind these protests. Or even like the clubs involved. I just thought the silence is an effective way to do it)

There isn't a backing big enough to pull something like that off. Regardless of how deluded some people are, you'll probably only keep the section of the Darwen End Home fans quiet. The rest of the stadium would just carry on as usual, which is quiet anyway.

Flares in the PL? Instant banning order of four years. "Thanks for halting the game and protesting. Now we've got a new manager and some ace new players, your reward is to be banned from watching our revolution for another three or four years. Thanks again!"

I'm still willing to give Kean another couple of games, but if you want something noticeable why not buy a massive flag/banner (Blackburn End pre match sorta size) with KEAN OUT! written on it for about £200 online. See if people are willing to put their money where their mouth is.

Spot on. Like I said, after QPR. If we lose that, perform badly or whatever, THEN is the time to act. It gives Venky's enough time to line someone up to replace him too.

A quid each, and you're sorted for the banner. How nobody has thought of this already is beyond me.

Well, then there is no hope for you and i'd love to know your reasoning for giving the man more time. Why wait for us to potentialy be in worse position than we are now? Wouldn't that make the job less attractive to potential successors?

With all due respect Mark, your condescending manner is getting boring. If you think your idea is a good idea, then post it! Thats what the thread is about... Leave out the lecture.

Chanting in the ground is the only solution.

When it's time it will happen. I expect this sometime during Saturday's game unless by some miracle we are competing with City.

I got a lot of heads turning in the JW against Arsenal for standing up and loudly asking Mr Kean to sort it out. It'll take a bit to get the JW upper going!!! :)

Guest Rovers4Good

You don't need to pay money for banners to be made as your voices are good enough and a corus of boos and shouts of Kean out will get you noticed. :)

As I've said a lot------the time to act is never now is it? If we beat QPR then that would be a good reason to keep him on would it? We'd stumble on for a few games, realise things were no better and then it would start up all over again. And the same people would want to give him more time!

"We played well against QPR"!!!!!!!!

I believe his average will bubble along at just under a point a game forever which means almost inevitable relegation. 27 games now and still rubbish.

You'll be getting to the final argument soon where results force you to accept he's crap but it'll be "too late in the season to sack him now and it will disrupt our relegation battle. The players know him and it would take someone new time to work out his best team and his tactics. By then we'd definitely down". I can see it now.

Sack him!

Giving Kean more time now is like a cancer patient refusing chemo at the earliest opportunity just incase it's only a cold.

He's destroying our club and turning fan on fan. After the Arsenal game I was.willing to give him another game and even attended the Newcastle game hoping to see a different side from that which I witnessed on the opening day against Wolves. The sad fact of the matter is that we were actually much much worse.

From my seat in the heavens I could see the obvious weaknesses we had all over the pitch, nobody tracking back, defence sitting so far back and not closing players down at all thus giving them the entire pitch to create scoring chances in. In the middle of this mayhem stood Kean like a lost little boy watching the carnage unfold in front of him while merely scratching his face whilst Alan Pardew stood at the edge of his area barking out instructions to his forces and creating wave after wave of attack.

With every passing minute this season it is becoming more and more obvious to all concerned except those that make the decisions on the board that Kean is so far out of his depth it's untrue.

I've been through many highs and lows with Rovers during the past 20 years but I genuinely fear that on our current course we shall witness the slow death of our once great club. I hope Venkys will look back and feel rightly proud of the shambles that they have created come next May, because I sure as hell know I won't be able to.

Frankly I find it absolutely staggering that any Rovers fan wants to give him any more time whatsoever. It's been like the Chinese water torture since his appointment and now my head is ready to explode. Reading that some fans want to give him a few games more just compounds the agony.

On Saturday it will need the majority of us to voice our discontent and not just sporadically. It needs to be sustained, I've got past the 'might affect the players' stage. The majority of us think we'll lose anyway so it doesn't matter.

Brian it's only football and having lost a few members of my family to cancer I find it disgusting people can compare the two! I think we can be passionate without comparing the two.

Sorry Paul I commented on your post at the end and in no way meant anything you put .

I've got my booing boots ready for Saturday.

Venky's and Kean have taken away a lot of my passion and therefore anger and my tone has been one of depressed acceptance but hopefully German lager will re-ignite this on Saturday afternoon.

KEAN OUT.

Abbey I was in no way intentionally making light of peoples struggle with cancer, ( I have had members of my own family fight this awful disease in the past and right now a distant relation is actually terminal), I was simply trying to show the dire situation that I feel the club is in at present despite what Venkys may believe and say.

He needs sacking, most will agree on that, but new signings also need time to bed in, just for the record :tu:

Kean does not have the ability to bed in new players. Rovers need and experienced manager NOW.

I hope somebody with a loud voice will Chant KEAN OUT on my behalf v city.

S. O. S. K. O. = SAVE OUR SEASON, KEAN OUT

Finally some posts from fans who see SENSE! The time to act is now!

If you don't agree then post elsewhere. This thread is for fans who want to tale immediate action.

Anyone taking some homemade banners? Think I may.

Well judging by the popularity of this thread, perhaps Steve Kean was right... Protestors are very much in a minority. The only thing is the reasoning behind it, not that the fans are happy with Kean but more worryingly... Are too lazy to be bothered.

Typical.
