Kamy100 Posted September 29, 2011 Posted September 29, 2011 Not allowed to say anymore because of legalities, other than this does not mean that Kean is about to be sacked. Quote
Emge Posted September 29, 2011 Posted September 29, 2011 Common, how could Kean possibly blame Jensen like that? But if he really has, then that just proves big time that Kean is NOT our man! Quote
chris Posted September 29, 2011 Posted September 29, 2011 (edited) Not seen any comments but seems kean is defo unsackable! how you worked that out?, if Jensen has left, thats enbarrassing for Kean, what happens now when Man city spank us, Jensen's fault. Or does Kean want to be judge from now on, start a fresh. Edited September 29, 2011 by chris Quote

novella Posted September 29, 2011 Posted September 29, 2011 Might put myself forward for the job, never coached or managed in football before so I should be right up venky's street. Quote
beerwins Posted September 29, 2011 Posted September 29, 2011 After seeing the fist pumps aimed at Kean after the Arsenal result from the Venky brothers I just dont see him being potted anytime soon. I think a more experienced no 2 may well be brought in, either that or one of Kean's choices. Quote
RibbleValleyRover Posted September 29, 2011 Posted September 29, 2011 Let's say for argument sake that Jensen may have played a large role in our poor results (something I find very hard to believe) well what does that say about our manager? The manager is the number 1, he makes the final decisions when it comes to tactics and team selection. If an assistant made poor decisions it's up to the manager to spot them and change them. It's not like Rovers have been playing poorly for just one game, it's more like 30. Smells like bullshit to me if that is indeed the reason why he has had to go. Quote
Andy Posted September 29, 2011 Posted September 29, 2011 If it's Jensen's choice, who can blame him? He may link up with Laudrup again, now that Laudrup is a free agent and won't be short of offers. Plus, if he knows that Kean isn't about to be sacked anytime soon, why stay on a blatently sinking ship? If it's a club decision then why just remove the assistant manager? Even if they replace him with an experienced number 2, which shows that they're willing to make some changes, why not make the change that needs making and get rid of the real problem (Kean)? 1 Quote

Blueandwhitemike Posted September 29, 2011 Posted September 29, 2011 I do wonder if the embarrassment of the post newcastle incident might have been the last straw for Jensen... He might think he can escape now without his reputation being in tatters unlike Kean Quote
A cup of beans Posted September 29, 2011 Posted September 29, 2011 How can jensen be blamed for results??? the buck stops with the manager surely?? correct. jensen being blamed for results would just be scapegoating! can anyone give me anything positive about our 1st team coaching staff.. kean.. jensen and brunskill! ??? cos im struggling! G Somerset Rover Posted September 29, 2011 Posted September 29, 2011 This has really irked me. Kean really is the Venky's blue eyed boy. He is going nowhere. Venkys are the biggest problem in all of this, how dumb can you get, being wrapped around the finger of that utter clown?! Quote
Popular Post Andy Posted September 29, 2011 Popular Post Posted September 29, 2011 Jensen did not leave of his own accord, he was removed and the reasons for why he was removed to be frank stink. He has been made a scapegoat by you know who. Only just seen this - disgraceful if true. Jensen has quite obviously been part of the problem, but to make him the scapegoat to save his own neck shows what a callous, lying little toad Kean is. I actually dislike the weasel more now than I did 5 minutes ago. 17 Quote
Craigman Posted September 29, 2011 Posted September 29, 2011 I think Steve Kean has been very niave here. I think him using Jensen as a scapegoat is going to bring more pressure on him, this will turn more people against him, and I hope that he is given a full verbal protest on Saturday. KEAN OUT !!!! Quote
chris Posted September 29, 2011 Posted September 29, 2011 I'm waiting for Zaccaius to say Jensen needed more time to settle in. 2 1 Quote
pancini Posted September 29, 2011 Posted September 29, 2011 Zacc, Kamy do you think there is anything in the DoF rumour that has been thrown around recently playing a part Quote
Gav Posted September 29, 2011 Posted September 29, 2011 I think people need to calm down a bit until the full picture comes out, has anyone stopped to think about why Jensen has left? Could be personal reasons that have caused this, could be legal reasons, could be all manner of things not related to Steve Kean whatsoever. 3 Quote
Guest Rovers4Good Posted September 29, 2011 Posted September 29, 2011 WOW the ###### has hit the fan. For those who think Kean will become the number 2 get a life it's never going to happen. Also, to make Jensen a scapegoat for the run of poor results is something that cements my thoughts that the goings on behind the scenes at Rovers are something that shouldn't happen in world football and something that the FA needs to get a grip of soon. Get the little fatty out of our club ""KEAN OUT"" Quote

He has been made a scapegoat by you know who. If true this would be an absolute disgrace. How can the players trust a manager who lets somebody else take the rap for his own short comings ? I hope your information is wrong. Quote

He has been made a scapegoat by you know who. Probably near the mark. Kean will have told the owners Jensen is to blame for the poor results and needs to be replaced. It's called covering your own back by sacrifcing a minion - career managers do it all the time. Roll of drums - obvious really. Quote
novella Posted September 29, 2011 Posted September 29, 2011 There was a month or so gap between kean being hired and Jensen being hired. What is Keans record for those games? Does anyone know? Quote
grizfoot Posted September 29, 2011 Posted September 29, 2011 (edited) I don't know the full ins and outs of how we came to appoint Jensen as assistant manager in the first place but from the outside at least it looks like it wasn't Kean's choice in the first place. You should always let your manager choose the backroom staff where possible in my opinion. To be honest there never seemed to be sort of any connection between Kean and Jensen in the dugout, Jensen usually just took a background role and you'd barely notice he was our assistant manager at times. The likelihood of the events regarding is departure is probably either that he'd had enough of working with Kean because he didn't like him, didn't want to ruin his reputation or Kean has told someone he wants to appoint "his own" assistant manager. Mattyblue Posted September 29, 2011 Posted September 29, 2011 How the hell has Steve Kean created himself such a bulletproof position at our club? It actually beggars belief! 6 Quote
