We need a chief executive before a Director of Football. Venky's need to shift on this one. What about David Davies or Gordon Taylor-are they ready for a different challenge? Such an executive could certainly advise on appointments of managers/ coaches and the like as they have so many contacts within the game at high levels. They could certainly negotiate with owners etc. Could Sven work with Kean as coach?

May be just coincidental but I am led to believe that some influential people who are Rovers supporters have been over to India this week to speak with Big Barry Rao and company. Maybe this and the Jensen removal have something to do with the meeting. Possibly the winds of change are gathering a pace.
