[Archived] Possible Protest at Spurs Game

I honestly think we should drop the stuff about Kean being a liar. Although its hardly endearing it's not all that relevant here.

His shocking performance in his job is more than enough justification for his sacking, we need to concentrate on drilling that home.

Well done Glen btw - you took a lot of stick for the last protest by the fickle amongst us, glad to see you're still leading the line.

Agreed, forget the personal stuff - it needs to be about facts. It's not like we need to add that he's a liar or a smug, arrogant so-and-so to his record... it's bad enough without that.

Personally I find the whole drink-driving saga pretty disturbing, however, it's his managerial record that matters. If the press choose to pick up on the less favourable aspects of his character then great, but as fans I think we need to maintain as high a moral ground as possible and focus solely on the fact he's doing a terrible job and must be dismissed before Rovers are at the point of no-return.

Quick idea: what if we got some money together and simply got a banner and put it between the tiers of the Blackburn End that had Kean's record on, but with a changeable number for losses/wins/draws...a bit like the one United have for city??

Would it class as a fire hazard if it wasn't actually in the seated area and didn't hang too low down? And we could still protest as well, could just make more of a visual statement!

Hey you pinched my idea and got a 4 in the likes for it!! I blame Steve Kean......:lol:

Do think the 1% is a good option as it is Keans get out clause, and we all know it is complete rubbish........

Couldn;t make the Arsenal game due to a wedding and was on the 3 peaks for City (which I imagine was less painful than the game!!!) but will be at the Spuds game ready to support the effort to gid rid. Fingers crossed Venkeys see sense well before then, but doubt it...

VENKYS!!! :angry2:

:wstu:

 Sorry dude, didn't notice your post. Mi likes es su likes!

Easy enough to stop people taking banners in if they see fit, I think there are rules re being fireproof but that maybe only over a certain size.

Also, if they are attached to a stick (as in a flag), it should not be removable and therefore usable as a weapon.

sick of protests, clearly does nothing to sway the owners' opinions, i say we just accept the inevitable and wait for those charletons to disperse from our club, never to be seen again, i feel defeated.

The biggest single factor on Kean going will be him losing the dressing room. Robbo's reaction at the end on Saturday suggested he agreed with those staying behind.

I thought that too, think it was Pedersen as well who seemed in agreement.

what was he doing? i left about 5 mins too early or is that 20 mins too late?

Basically made an effort to come over and applaud the fans when 'kean out' chants etc were clearly being sung. You could say that he was just thanking the fans for their support during the game, but the support wasn't good at all during the game so I doubt that.

They always say its the goalkeepers who have the best view of the game...

I was close to Pedersen as he was walking off the pitch and he looked distraught, like he was wondering what had happened to the well run club he'd been at for over 6 years before Venky's took over.

He was running around with Neal's banner and holding a "Kean Out" poster *

*the above may or may not be a true reflection of events

Also, he kept pointing at the badge, not something I'd noticed him do before.

Yeah he def made a point of doing that, thumping the badge. He is usually last to clap, but there was emotion with it on sat

thanks ossy, i have seen him point at the badge once or twice before, particularly when we were singing england's number 1 and he pointed at rovers badge and said no, rovers number 1, anyone remember his 'stand up if you hate arsenal' song when playing for spurs? he seems like a genuine guy.

He appears to have joined the Kean Out group on Facebook.
