Athlete Posted October 14, 2011 Posted October 14, 2011 In a way, isn't this the crucial post in this thread? It feels like we and Venky's have different aims. Venky's seem to see BRFC as a means to getting better publicity for their business; we cling to the hope that Venky's money will allow us to achieve success at a lveel not known for 10 -15 years. I'm not sure the two can be reconciled and, if they can, I'm not sure if they can be reconciled the way WE'd want them to be. Venkys money ???..lol they havent got any.....well more than you and me but not enougth to sustain a prem club and put money in...-they have used and are using Rovers as a publicity vehicle for as long as possible ( well till we go down at least )...before anyone says scott dann...check back they've hardly paid a penny yet biggest never never ever.....

BuckyRover Posted October 14, 2011 Posted October 14, 2011 You are completely wrong It was on the neverest of never never deals not never never ever
m1st Posted October 14, 2011 Posted October 14, 2011 Point taken, athlete; I'm just thinking back [is it only?] 10 months ago when some of us hoped that Sam was going to benefit from Venky's money liberating us from the tight-purse strings day of the Trust. Doesn't it seem a long time ago, now?
Athlete Posted October 14, 2011 Posted October 14, 2011 You are completely wrong It was on the neverest of never never deals not never never ever well they never intend paying....similarly like they didnt want to pay Barclays.... everyone in a business as a lending facility against assets , etc but to borrow against the strength of any incomings is plain suicide cos if the brown stuff hits the fan.......
Rovers_786 Posted October 14, 2011 Posted October 14, 2011 I was happy when there took over but there have upset the club, and there cant sack Steve kean because we don't know why and there brought the club cheap but we fans are not going to let them run the club how there are.
Ziggy is a rover Posted October 14, 2011 Posted October 14, 2011 This is my first ever post on a rovers message board. So go easy. I am a life long rovers fan. ST holder with my two young boys. I have to say after reading these boards for a while I want to now join in the discussion. So here is a thought, looking like there is going to be a protest at the spurs game. So I feel Venky's have a chance to change this. If we win lose or draw tomorrow sack Kean and they will have my full support come spurs game. I really am depressed with how things are at the minute with rovers. I what steve kean out as much as anything. I think we as supporters have given him a fair crack at the whip. Jean out
Ziggy is a rover Posted October 14, 2011 Posted October 14, 2011 I don't know if she is!! My phone thinks he is Jean
Rovers_786 Posted October 14, 2011 Posted October 14, 2011 How do you know his wife's called Jean?! because she went to India to the press mention this and lets hope the clown is sacked, and welcome to the forum mate.
OJRovers Posted October 14, 2011 Posted October 14, 2011 You are totally correct, sack Kean and the mood of the fans will totally change. Will they do it before its too late?
beerwins Posted October 14, 2011 Posted October 14, 2011 I fail to see the big issue with the whole situation, Keans record last season was'nt good enough for him to start this season as the clubs manager, yes they want to give him a chance and blah blah he may make a good manager but he has to start lower down the divisions and work hiw way up. The massive point of all the fans is that Since Venky's takeover they really have'nt made one good decision and their knowledge of the game and UK culture is pretty much zero, this is the one chance to make ammends and hire an experienced manager and no.2 and show they are learning. Every Fan can see that Kean will not cut the mustard at this level yet and we as fans have given them every bit of advice they could ask for but they choose to go their own way, they want to keep Kean as manager and (if honest) not one fan can see why. Sack the manager, employ MON, give hime some money to spend in Jan and the club will be safe as houses and they can get on with their marketing in India. They dont seem to want to take this chance and it will only be a matter of time that the fan's anger will be directed at them, and in my opinion it will be rightly so, Venky's have not done one thing yet that has been to the benefit of the club.
Emge Posted October 14, 2011 Posted October 14, 2011 If Venkys sack Kean, I will (of course depending on the replacement) fully support them. Sackin Sam Allardyce and replacing him with Steve Kean must be one of the stupidest footballdecisions of all times. Its quite frankly embarrasing. But PLEASE get Steve Kean OUT of our club NOW! Its getting silly!!
RoyRover Posted October 14, 2011 Posted October 14, 2011 I don't know if anyone saw this (at the bottom of the page). Another example of classic Steve Kean. "The owners find the fans' attitude difficult to understand". It's not difficult at all guys. You sacked a manager, who you said you fully supported, who despite not being to everyone's tastes got us results and replaced him with a guy no one had ever heard off, because he was represented by the same people who you were taking advice off for how the club should be run and what players we should buy, including the likes of had been stars like David Beckam and Ronaldhino to try and sell some shirts back in India, further alienating and forcing out of the club two of the most important men at Blackburn Rover, John Williams and Tom Finn, who were the reason behind Blackburn being the model of how a Premiership club should be run, but will shortly no longer be because you refuse to fire the absolute clown of a manager who nearly got us relegated last year and looks like he is dead set on finishing the job this year and despite his abysmal record and his complete disconnection from reality when it comes to admitting how badly we're playing, you still describe him as 'a brilliant manager.' That's where our attitude comes from.
Ziggy is a rover Posted October 14, 2011 Posted October 14, 2011 I have to be honest and say I Feel for Venky's. Every interview I have seen from them I get the impression they really want to succeed. I take things the press say with a pinch of salt. I wanted Kean to work out. They have backed him to the hilt. He has let them down in a big way. He has let us fans down in a big way too. Venky's I don't see have done much wrong. Cause I really don't know what has really gone on behind the scenes and don't really care to much. I want us to get results on the pitch thats all that matters to me., So the timing is right for Jean to go. Cause in all fairness his results are not improving. I also cannot abide listening to his nonsense.
Mattyblue Posted October 15, 2011 Posted October 15, 2011 Kean hasn't let Venkys down at all, they have let themselves down by employing such a nomark in the first place.
Amo Posted October 15, 2011 Posted October 15, 2011 If Venky's held their hands up, admitted they've monumentally screwed up, and sacked Kean, it would be a start. It's not like they can't say they haven't given him a chance. As it is, the longer they drag this out, the bigger the fan backlash will be.

Bluefudge Posted October 15, 2011 Posted October 15, 2011 Roy Rover, spot on. Shame the press/media don't push home that point of view when he answers their questions in such a churlish way.
gumboots Posted October 15, 2011 Posted October 15, 2011 Absolutely spot on! And all in one sentence too.
Billy Castell Posted October 15, 2011 Posted October 15, 2011 Time to send this bunch of 3rd world chancers packing.
47er Posted October 15, 2011 Posted October 15, 2011 Watched the India segment on Football Focus. Asked about Kean's position Vinny Rao said "98% of the fans are happy with him" or "support him", can't remember exact quote. Also, family wealth put at 2 billion quid! About time we saw some of it if that's the case!
Veevs Posted October 15, 2011 Posted October 15, 2011 * They don't want the payout (seems unlikely, as they were quick to compo Sam, and relegation will be a bigger price to pay) * Kentaro still have their hooks into the club. * They're incredibly naive/obtuse/stubborn/take your pick. I can see no other reason why they would keep beating this dead horse. I actually believe that it's none of the above and I am beginnning to believe Blackburn Rovers is more of a toy for Balaji and his son (future Rovers Chairman).. as such having a yes man in charge is perfect for them. How many other managers would agree to letting the team go away for a PR trip less than a 1/3 of the way through the season (especially when fitness and results are poor)? Or hire Balajis mates son (Myles)? Or even amuse him with silly bids for former world class players? To me it just fits with what little information we know about Balaji a medailion man, who has dabbled with Bollywood (with his own entertainment company), likes to be filmed with stars and owns a shed load of shiny cars. Whatever it is the money the used to purchase Rovers (I don't believe much more has been put in since) can be easily recovered if they wished by asset stripping the club whenever they feel like it.
Jan Posted October 15, 2011 Posted October 15, 2011 I voted that I don't support them. Anyone who does is either stupid or has been on the trip to India on Venky's money. I don't care how "well they talk" about what they're going to do with the club, the truth is since they took over they've not done one single thing right. I even include the shirt sponsors- nice idea but only done 'cos they couldn't find any mug to give us any money. Until Kean is fired (preferably from a human cannon across the Grand Canyon) I will not be wasting money to go and watch us lose hopelessly. Or win scabbily (Arsenal) I want us to be in with a chance of winning every week, and that means having a manager who understands tactics, formations- or even that it's advisable for our players to pass to someone wearing the same coloured jumper once in a while. I thought I hated Ince. Compared to this muppet, he's almost competent. (Please thicko owners- that doesn't mean you should hire him).
NeRvOuS Wr3Ck Posted October 15, 2011 Posted October 15, 2011 I know i have said this before but this time i mean it.While this clown is manager and them idiots are running rovers i just cant be bothered to support rovers anymore. Once things are set strait again my love will return sorry uncle jack but just cant take the pain anymore.
