bob fleming Posted October 26, 2011 Posted October 26, 2011 Anuradha J Desai, the Chairperson of Venky’s, said: “will be actively supporting the organisation to ensure that Blackburn Rovers remains one of the best run Clubs within the Premier League." Brilliant John! Quality! As though she said that!!

beatrix Posted October 26, 2011 Posted October 26, 2011 There still remains the possibility that taking the illogical decisions and the backtracking from her original statement, her hidden agenda is completely different to ours. It appears that she is the one backing Kean with all that entails, why is she flying in the face of accepted logic ? As has been suggested she sees an opportunity to gain financially in some way from her involvement with blackburn rovers as a fall back position her behaviour would make more sense. I noted that when the puners visited india they did not see anything of Mrs D, and everything points to her being the decision maker at the moment. It would explain a lot if her hidden agenda was based around financial gain and not the wellbeing of the club. I am surprised that more people are not coming round to considering this possibility in light of the current situation, it has got to be a possibility.

I think that you are getting very close to the heart of the problem. Mrs D a woman who admits to knowing nothing about football taking one of the key decisions at a football club - to sack the Manager or not - is quite ridiculous. There has to be a reason for this which has got little to do with what happens out on the pitch on matchday. I too found it quite strange that Mrs D who is supposedly a supporter of 'family values' could not take the time to meet the Pune 9 - she as head of VH Group and the defacto MD/Chairperson of Rovers and their main spokesperson.

Boltinho Posted October 28, 2011 Posted October 28, 2011 Great story from Norway on the Venky's. Written by Kasper Wikestad and with quotes from Egil Ostenstad. It says that is so much more than a managerproblem. Jack's visions and values is broken down and gone. That J.A is a s**thole.. My link

People who wants to read the article can just translate it via google translate, I checked that now, and I think its very accurate (obviously with some errors, but its understandable )
Kingstonians Posted October 28, 2011 Posted October 28, 2011 I just spoken to Vineeth and Amit from the venkys, which has shocked ME ,with the help off the club I got something in the post by the club and that was helpful. But not happy with Rovers Policy on getting autographs for the season , I cant anything as their only signed one picture and had their told me before I sent items, I would have knowed. I'll be glad when half-term's over and you revert to your normal bedtime. What are you on about? There's a lot going on at the club at the moment- most people have noticed. If you are upset at the 'autograph policy' then I'm afraid you're at the back of a very long queue.
sentient Posted October 29, 2011 Posted October 29, 2011 The first and biggest lie, and I am still surprised that the majority of Rovers fans accepted without a squeak. I'm not reb. I've said before and I'll say it again ... we are the most compliant, meekly passive supporters in the country! We still have supporters doffing their caps and thanking the scumbags for taking the time to take the p1$$ out of us.
roversmum Posted October 31, 2011 Posted October 31, 2011 looks like a certain act may need to be got in order pretty fast - competition possibly? Hold on a minute. Didn't this name come up before somewhere - to do with Ali Syed?
Glenn Posted October 31, 2011 Posted October 31, 2011 Not really Rovers related, but .... http://www.thehindubusinessline.com/industry-and-economy/marketing/article2586138.ece

Doesn't matter, I am now of the belief that the entrepreneur below could own and operate a football club with more dexterity and competence than the ones gracing our club.
Stuart Posted October 31, 2011 Posted October 31, 2011 Doesn't matter, I am now of the belief that the entrepreneur below could own and operate a football club with more dexterity and competence than the ones gracing our club. Father Christmas really has fallen on hard times.
dazmaz Posted October 31, 2011 Posted October 31, 2011 Not really Rovers related, but .... http://www.thehindubusinessline.com/industry-and-economy/marketing/article2586138.ece That explains where the Jones cash went
Stuart Posted October 31, 2011 Posted October 31, 2011 Not really Rovers related, but .... http://www.thehindubusinessline.com/industry-and-economy/marketing/article2586138.ece Would anyone have paid a blind bit if attention to Venky Xprs 18 months ago? They are certainly a household name in the UK now. Not to mention the global audience of the PL. Is this what all of the PR stunts have been about?

If their chicken factories are run half as well as our club at the moment, would you put that in your mouth?
mark1875 Posted October 31, 2011 Posted October 31, 2011 if one of these outlets opens near where anyone lives, go and decorate it with 'kean out' posters

Not to mention the global audience of the PL. Is this what all of the PR stunts have been about? 250 crore investment over 3 years how much is that in pounds?
Stuart Posted October 31, 2011 Posted October 31, 2011 If their chicken factories are run half as well as our club at the moment, would you put that in your mouth? To be fair, they are probably very good with chicken. They even got J-Rob to eat it and he's meant to be vegan, isn't he? Also some think there aren't any problems at Rovers at the moment and won't have a clue what you mean. In fact they'll probably punch you in the face for suggesting there might be something wrong with the nuggets. (That's the chicken, not the Raos).
Majiball Posted October 31, 2011 Posted October 31, 2011 250 crore investment over 3 years how much is that in pounds? I believe 1 crore = 10 million rupees, so around £31,000,000. Jisty are you sure JR is a veagen?
Glenn Posted October 31, 2011 Posted October 31, 2011 250 crore investment over 3 years how much is that in pounds? I get it at £32 million. But I could easily be a decimal point either way out
lowerdarwenblue Posted October 31, 2011 Posted October 31, 2011 To answer the question. Do i support Venkys ??. Absolutely not!! They have done nothing but destabalise our great club. They are a disgrace.
Glenn Posted October 31, 2011 Posted October 31, 2011 To be fair, they are probably very good with chicken. They even got J-Rob to eat it and he's meant to be vegan, isn't he? Well, as a fully paid up and bought off PR stooge (or at least that's how some of you see), after an optional trip to a Venky's XPRS was arranged .... Say what you like about Venky's as owners, but their take away chicken was bloody good! The XPRS itself is very reminiscent of KFC but the the chicken itself was above anything I'd ever had from a franchised take away. Jisty are you sure JR is a veagen? He did an interview where he said he was a Vegan during the season to improve his game.

Being slightly cynical (not like me, I know) do you think they'd have given you anything but the best Venkys chicken? Being honest, I think Venkys are likely very good at chicken production. It'd be interesting to know if they sacked all of the senior management and brought in their own advisors when the inherited the company though! (Whoops there's that cynic again!)
