BBC:

Chris McKenna reports: "Gael Givet's late extra-time header ends a dramatic night at Ewood Park as Blackburn scrape into the quarter-finals for the fourth time in five seasons with a 4-3 win. What will Steve Kean's critics make of that?"

Tell you what I make of that: "SO WHAT?"

riggers, a big nail in what way? u mean sacking kean?

one good thing is that the new manager coming in has a quarter final and a potential cup win to look forward to.

I mean the reprieve kean will get from this will ensure we go down.

I was sat right next to Kean for this match and at the end of half time two fans in front of me pointed out that with no presence up front we were inviting trouble. As this is being said a member of staff, short one in a red jacket don't know what he does, comes up to then and starts squaring up. There was a heated argument with the member of staff claiming we wanted the team to lose,we were crap fans, don't bother coming next week then he generalised and said all fans wanted Sam gone and you get what you ask for in terms of Kean. The argument ended with the guy saying ill love it when we win and an elderly fan saying should we take this outside. Couple of stewards come over and ask us to calm down but acknowleged he was out of order and the main culprit.

At full time when the players were coming off again he comes over giving it out, swearing and looking for a fight. He gets dragged away by a head steward but the argument continues with insults flying back and forth. When a comment is made that "If you stopped arguing and concentrated on the matches maybe we woulnd't be rock bottom" and tries to come up the stairs to have a fight with a teenager.

This sort of behaviour by officals at the club and the fact no other player or member of staff came to break it up sums up my feelings of dejection. Coupled with the drowning out of protestors with music on Sunday I am left facing the question "Where is the club I supported for all these years!!"

pundits love backing kean, big nose was doing it on sky sports with 'oh rovers won, hopefully the protesters will get off his back, they dont understand the bigger picture, keep your nose out big nose, the same to the other 'pundits'.

Maybe if they actually explained what their idea of the bigger picture is we'd understand it a bit better !

Apparently Givet was injured but wanted to battle on

http://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/9328160.FULL_TIME__Blackburn_Rovers_4_Newcastle_United_3__after_extra_time_/

Kean spins this as a positive and it does show the character of Givet but in reality we may now lose Givet for Norwich because of the manager not doing what he should have done.

Oh look more abuse off one who didnt go and would rather us lose...yet im the fu**ing dingle!

I've been going 30 years l think l can spot a dingle when l see one. I was was in the Torquay end at the Turd the day the plane went over. I had to walk back to the bus station from the away end and get back to Clitheroe after the inbreds had been on the pitch and seen my face in about 200 Southerners. "One Wes Saunders".

Oh, judgments made on just one or two games? Er... Everton, Fulham, Arsenal, QPR, Spurs and now Newcastle. Of course there have been poor performances particularly in the early matches with a patched up defence. But even the big-spending teams don't show up every week. And comments like "players are paid to play" completely miss the point that players DON'T play for a manager they don't rate.

That's all you need to worry about, mate.

It makes no difference, Rovers won't get the required points to stay up no matter how much backing the players get. The reason? Because Kean is one of the most tactically inept managers ever to manage at this level.

A Rovers win = Happy Rog :D

Football is obviously a matter of opinions and I thought we played well and responded well after the late setbacks.

Guthrie's and Cabaye's strikes were world class and quite honestly the first two shots they had on target.

I hope the win can lead to a performance at Carrow Road on Saturday.

You should email this to every media organisation you can.

An absolute disgrace.

What a pleasure to be at Ewood tonight. Of course it's always good to send the Geordies home crying (shades of Graham Fenton tonight I thought) ... but the real joy was to be sat amongst the REAL Rovers SUPPORTERS ... People like 'our kid' who had driven 150miles after work to be there. No sign of 'whinging cry-baby dummy spitting ex-fans', or half-wits who boo because they feel affronted to get beat off an all conquering City ... and of course with the tremblers boycotting it just left the REAL SUPPORTERS. Long may it continue.

I think things are going to get nasty over the next few weeks.

Next season in the Championship...we'll get the 5000 we saw tonight with ST's and another 2000 walk ons. Many sub 10000 gates. This will be a result of the attitude of the club as well as results.

If we had played Norwich or Fulham tonight and we had rain then the gate may have been sub 5000. Think about that Venky scumbags.

Anyone who wanted us to lose is a cretin!!! Yes I hate kean and venkys but f me I always want us to win!! I

Just see the bigger picture that's all i ask of rovers fans rather than being this elated at one result. It's like being ecstatic at petrol going down 5p when really it is 50p too expensive aready. Our club is bottom of the league not because of bad luck but because we deserve to be there.

Trust me AB's l'm as upset as you but surely you can see the odd result in 5 is keeping him in a job. Is there a time you'd put the team result to one side for the better good? If you had the choice - Rovers lose and Venkys & Kean fcked off would you accept the loss?

What a game!

When it went 2 - 2 I thought our heads would drop and we'd get battered in extra time.

How wrong was I! Jason Lowe played excellent again. Olsson, immense. And Givet, I hope he gets a new contract soon.

Tactics towards the end of normal time? I could see why he did them. Shore up the defence, go 5-4-1 and try and hold Newcastle for 15mins.

But their goal and free kick were almost world class. What Samba was doing all over the guy I'll never know. But fair play to the Geordies, they gave it a good do.

More of the same in the next few games? Let's hope
