What's your score prediction.

I think you'll win. 2-1 to you.

Depends if Pardew puts in Cabaye or Tiote over Smith (He made the bench last week and of course he's a 'good pro' despite having no ability with a football). He may put Steven Taylor in over Perch as well.

You are a generous person. Cabaye and Taylor playing would make a huge difference. I fancy it going to penalties then...no idea

To go or not to go.....

Here goes...........

I am not going, I didn't go against orient or wednesday either. I just can't get excited about it. I was so full of hope inside on sunday that we would come good. I feel as low as a rovers fans as i ever have. I suppose i have the 260 mile round trip and having to get away from work early on top of the price as some kind of excuse but it never stopped me from games like walsall and peterborough. I can't see anything other than a defeat unless newcastle field a weakened team and even then i am doubtfull. I like some of the stuff that we played on sunday but over 90 mins we are going to need something much better to produce a victory.

I'm going but wish I wasn't. When I agreed to go with my daughter and her mate a few weeks ago, it seemed likely that even our owners would not carry on backing Kean if we didn't get points on the board. However, now it would appear that not only is Kean unsackable but he is about to get a new contract (not confirmed but sounds just too likely for it not to be true) Newcastle will be my last match for a long time. I will not return my season ticket as some day they might see sense and replace Kean but I will not attend.

every rovers fan inside the ground, needs to make their feelings towards Kean for the good and for the future of Blackburn Rovers Football Club. We need to protest louder and try and get as many banners as possible untill this clown is sacked.

The carling cup this year is over for us for me already, even if we beat Newcastle, we wont go onto to win it with Kean in charge, The main prioty is getting rid of Kean and keeping in this league, becasuse if we go down we will never return!!

Kean covering himself already:

Steve Kean: "We are still down on bodies, and with Nzonzi suspended and Slew cup-tied we are lighter than we were on Sunday. We've a little bit of choice, but our programme is tighter than Newcastle's as we played Sunday, they played Saturday. After this we play Saturday and they don't play until Monday night, so we've been a lot lighter than them so far in terms of pre-match preparation. We'll see how everyone is in training tomorrow. We'll do some testing and just make sure everybody's levels are back up so they are not putting themselves at risk."

Blind loyalty is clouding perspective when a pragmatic approach should be adopted. Fans on the continent wouldn't have stood for this, they would have boycotted on mass. It is this blind loyalty that keeps kean in a job, I can guarantee that should ewood park of stood empty tomorrow then Steve kean would not be the manager by Thursday morning. The problem is that too many fans find it too much of a wrench to not go. The fans shouldn't have to think that way but in times of hardship you must take it upon yourself to make hard decisions and it seems as a collective of fans we don't have the will to make them.

How can he mention Slew as low on numbers? he has not even played yet.

The difference is, they are dealing with people that care about the damage to their reputations and brands. It seems that in our case the person/people that ultimately do the hiring and firing, seem not to.

If we win this game (Last 16), we go into the quarters were there will be at least 2 championship clubs, if not more.

Is it Semi Final stage that we get to Wembley in this cup?? If so, your daft if you want to miss out on that and also priority tickets.

I don't think there's much danger on missing out priority tickets for the cup final, I'm pretty sure there'll be more than enough to go round Rovers fans should we get there !!!

A very worrying statement that. With that sort of attitude then does it make you wonder whether they care if we are relegated? And if it is the case we are a football club devoid of any attachment to the fan and the loyalty that goes with that then what is the point in being a fan at all?

I still standby what I said after the Pune trip. I am absolutely convinced the people we met will do everything within their power to make Rovers a success. I still believe they are dedicated to that goal. However, we didn't meet everyone ... it seems to be a very long an convoluted chain of command when it comes to hiring and firing.

Glenn, with the best will in the world, after 12 months, IMV, they've made a feckin awful fist of it.

Can't see what's suddenly going to change.

I'll be there tonight; but for a very old-fashioned reason. In the same way I used to come over with schoolmates from my then-home in Blackpool to watch games in the late-1950s and early-1960s against the Seasiders, I'll be going down to the ground with a mate who lives nearby but supports the opposition. He regularly joins me and my mates for a pre-match pint whenever we play the Magpies and sometimes [usually if they've won at Ewood!] comes back to our pub for a post mortem.

Except that tonight will feel different. I won't feel nearly as involved with the club as I've done since my first game nearly 60 years ago. Oh, don't get me wrong; I'll still sit in my usual seat and, of course, hope that we win.

But I'll feel only slightly more involved than if I go to watch a game at, say, Spotland or Gigg Lane [my two nearest grounds these days]. Tonight [i hope] I'll see people I've known for years and have the "craic" with them, just as I can at either of those grounds; and obviously I'll hope the home team wins.

But that will be as much that my club can be, what is it, three games from appearing from the new Wembley stadium, which I've not yet visited, as that my beloved Rovers have beaten the Magpies yet again.

Doubtless I'll be wearing my new "No Logo" shirt [thank you, Venky's for being so inept about renewing shirt sponsorship that this old fogey can have a shirt which is as close to those he knew from the 1950s and 1960s].

But, if we'd been drawn at home tonight against a team none of whose fans I know [Arsenal, Cardiff or Palace, for example], I know I wouldn't be there.

And that's because IT DOESN'T FEEL LIKE MY TEAM ANY MORE. [Apologies for shouting!]
