daveoftherovers Posted October 14, 2011 Posted October 14, 2011 Dave - surely this must win the next match is a bit of a nonsense. Supposed we do win and then lose the next 4. What then, he must win match 5 to keep his job ? You just can't keep goping on like that. He's simply the right or wrong man for the job ! I think we already know the answer to that. The only reason I am stating he must win mate, is that QPR are absolute bobbins, they've just been scutched 6, if we can't win this then we are in huge trouble, i.e. Just where are the points going to come from???

Billy Castell Posted October 14, 2011 Posted October 14, 2011 Grella would have been put down if he was a racehorse. I know it is bad, and everyone will criticise me, but if losing means Kean goes, then I'll take it. Obviously, I'd like to win every game at least 2-0 from here on, but even a single result like that is not likely with Kean in charge.
Backroom DE. Posted October 14, 2011 Backroom Posted October 14, 2011 As I've said in all the previous games, I would only want us to lose if it was an absolute certainty that Kean would be sacked a result. If that guarantee isn't there then I'm not going to hope for a loss.
BuckyRover Posted October 14, 2011 Posted October 14, 2011 I find it strange that those who enjoyed Sam's win at all costs strategy are now hoping we lose. It's all about the 3 points surely?
Mattyblue Posted October 14, 2011 Posted October 14, 2011 Not strange at all, if Kean could actually win football matches, the fanbase wouldn't be in uproar. It's the whole Wigan away thing, was that a bad result? No, it was one of our best results in years.
AllRoverAsia Posted October 14, 2011 Posted October 14, 2011 From Sporting Preview: QPR have the lowest conversion rate of any team in the Premier League, scoring with just 6% of their attempts. Blackburn have given away the most fouls (96) of any team in the Premier League this season. Rangers' 0-6 defeat last time out against Fulham was their heaviest defeat in the Premier League and their third worst in the English top flight (lost 1-8 to Man Utd in March 1969 and 1-7 to Sheffield Wednesday in May 1987). Blackburn won the last three Premier League meetings with QPR by a 1-0 scoreline and that was also the score when they met in last season's FA Cup. QPR have failed to score in four of their seven Premier League games and only netted via an own goal in one of the others (against Aston Villa). Blackburn have won only one and lost eight of their last 12 Premier League away games. Rovers have only won three of their last 21 Premier League matches overall (W3 D7 L11). Paul Robinson has the worst saves to shots ratio in the Premier League, keeping out just 50% of accurate attempts at goal. QPR have won just one of the last 11 meetings with Blackburn (W1 D3 L7) in all competitions. Blackburn have posted the worst passing accuracy in the opposition half this season, completing just 61% of their passes. The last one is a suprise - so much for Kean's ''passing'' game

There's no mention of the dew to grass ratio either. Tsk tsk!
Backroom Tom Posted October 14, 2011 Backroom Posted October 14, 2011 This is bizarre, never felt like this to this extent before. I genuinely think he is teetering but a loss still pains me no matter what
bennyboyt11 Posted October 14, 2011 Posted October 14, 2011 To those who are wishing we lose (not disagreeing by the way), I ask can we afford to lose another game? We really need to start picking up some points, regardless of who's in charge.
grizfoot Posted October 14, 2011 Posted October 14, 2011 I can see where people are coming from with the mixed feelings about whether actually a heavy defeat would be beneficial for the club in the long-run. I felt somewhat ashamed that I was almost begging Man City to score more in our last game. All indication is Kean will be safe regardless of the outcome of this game so in that case I'm sure hoping for a win. My gosh three points would be good though wouldn't it, I possibly wouldn't even allow a smug post-match Kean to even anger me.

This is the dilemma we've had with both the Arsenal and the Manchester Citeh games. Yes, we want to win them tomorrow to keep in touch with the teams above us; but each one we win means that Kean gives the impression of being more secure in post. I never want Rovers to lose a game, EVER; but a defeat tomorrow might fall in the category of "losing a battle to win the war". Specially if it were a heavy one. I'm just glad I won't be there to see it.
robwood Posted October 15, 2011 Posted October 15, 2011 just booked my ticket, I'm excited and a little nervous! Where is the best place to drink beforehand? I feel that several will be needed to numb the pain. anyone fancy a pint? Hey Nathan, Walkabout Inn at shepards ush apparantly, I'm up for a pint or 6
ruggles1995 Posted October 15, 2011 Posted October 15, 2011 would be nice to see Vuckevic get a start today as he has looked impressive for Montenegro. Hopefully we take the game to QPR as defensively i think there 1 of the worst if not the worst in the premier league. And our defendings not the greatest either so hopefully an attackive team and going for 3 points we could take em. We do our usual sit back and counter attack then i reckon its a defeat or draw playing that type of game today
Andy Posted October 15, 2011 Posted October 15, 2011 For those half-hoping for us to lose, for the sake of the greater good - don't feel too bad, we're going to get turned over today, no doubt. QPR are well organised and Warnock has them playing for each other. Under Kean, we are just one big mess and we've been so poor this season (barring the odd half-decent performance), there is no doubt in my mind that we will lose 75% of our league games this season as long as Kean is here. QPR 2 vs 0 Blackburn.
ruggles1995 Posted October 15, 2011 Posted October 15, 2011 heres a question, has kean spent the most out of all our previous managers in the past 10 years or more?
Wing Wizard Windy Miller Posted October 15, 2011 Posted October 15, 2011 God this is horrible. It's like being caught between the devil and the deep blue sea. Would love a win, we need one or we will start to be cut adrift. On paper it's also a game we should get something from. That said, for the sake of getting 'HIM' out of our club, I don't want him getting a win. Feel so sad that it has come to this. Perhaps a draw is the best option: we go a couple up due to an O.G and dodgy penalty in the first half. We then get battered second half and concede a couple. We come away with something and the pressure is still firmly on 'HIM'.

The last one is a suprise - so much for Kean's ''passing'' game Telling ones for me are only Blackburn and Norwich (who are 4pts and +6gd up on us) have yet to claim a single clean sheet, Blackburn have the second worst goal difference in the league (a stat that is made even more telling given the sheer number of high scoring games so far this season), Blackburn have only had four clean sheets in the last 27 games and last but not least all three promoted teams (who where favourites for relegation) are now 4 points ahead of us. Going for a 3-1 loss to QPR with Tarbaat scoring in his 100th QPR game.

For a team who are bobbins they have a fair few decent players especially in midfield.. they also have more points.. a better goal difference, have kept 3 more clean sheets than us and got points against the same teams we have lost to (Wolves, Villa, Everton and Newcastle).
jimw1988 Posted October 15, 2011 Posted October 15, 2011 We really need some points today. Think we should get some. Our defending is cack at the moment but the Qpr one is worse. I think the pace of our forward players will be a big factor today. COYB!
Emge Posted October 15, 2011 Posted October 15, 2011 We desperatly need 3 points today, BUT we also desperatly need to get Kean out before its too late. This is a very weird situation, like many others mention on here, Ive never had feelings like this and its very uncomfortable
Clitherover Posted October 15, 2011 Posted October 15, 2011 I wonder if Roberts has managed to brown-nose his way into the starting 11?
