Bluefudge Posted October 15, 2011 Posted October 15, 2011 Just checking. Here's a ray of hope. In 1993 we went to QPR and won 3-0 with the following team. I remember getting to the ground and thinking there was some sort of mistake. Tony Roberts got nutmegged by Atkins for one of them. Great night. Maybe we can pull off the miracle today. Mimms, Brown, Dobson, Berg, Hendry, Moran, Ripley, Cowans, Atkins, Newell, Marker. That's a better Rovers team than ours today. Prob beat today's rovers 3-0

youandwhosearmy Posted October 15, 2011 Posted October 15, 2011 Absolutely joke team! surely the worst attacking force we have ever provided since...well the last time Roberts started! Is Kean trying to see how far he can go without being sacked. I'd be amazing if we get anything from this.

SharrockDownSouth Posted October 15, 2011 Posted October 15, 2011 All very well packing the middle of the park, but not going to help if QPR drop Taraabt and go for two up top and pacy wingers... oh...
Miker Posted October 15, 2011 Posted October 15, 2011 I get the feeling he's kept the best players on the bench, so he can bring them on some time in the second half, have them score and claim a master stroke. I can already see myself punching a wall by the end of the night...
Bluefudge Posted October 15, 2011 Posted October 15, 2011 Just hope we get in their box more than they get in ours !!
andyroversmad Posted October 15, 2011 Posted October 15, 2011 Why has he left all the best players on the bench
joey_big_nose Posted October 15, 2011 Posted October 15, 2011 Hum, there is a lot of sense in playing Petrovic, Lowe and Nzonzi together as they will hopefully provide a bit of defensive cover. Baffled by Roberts up front I have to say.
ruggles1995 Posted October 15, 2011 Posted October 15, 2011 the clowns playing for a draw by the looks of it. Couldn't of thought of a worse team to pick myself. O well lets hope he knows what hes doing, i doubt it tho.

Baffled by Roberts up front I have to say. Thing is, we offer absolutely nothing going forward doing this. Sit back defending for 80 minutes, you will eventually be beaten, besides, they are a terrible bunch of defending midfielders. 3-0 QPR
Veevs Posted October 15, 2011 Posted October 15, 2011 Robinson Salgado Samba Dann Givet Lowe Petrovic Nzonzi Hoilet Roberts Olsson looks solid enough good bench - Bunn, Formica, Rochina, Vukcevic, Goodwillie, Yak, Hanley Roberts.. 3 inexperienced kids in midfield against a very decent and experienced QPR midfield..genius level of defensive cover on the bench (especially given Salgado, Dann, Samba and Givet) have all missed recent games, Simon on the bench after his performance last week was to obvious... Will have to see how they line up out there, those midfielders better be covering (and under orders to pressure them) the fullbacks and central defence or Faurlin, SWP, Barton, Tarbaat and co will demolish them. Simon Garner coud have got in that team Simon Garners dog would of had a better chance of scoring than our strike force of Roberts.. Just checking. Here's a ray of hope. I would prefer that team by a million miles to be honest.. plenty of scrappers in there. One thing this proves beyond a shadow of a doubt is Myles and Bruno are not cut out for the premier league.
Gogger Posted October 15, 2011 Posted October 15, 2011 Roberts did brilliant and scored two goals against Pune FC, no reason he wont continue that today... eh...
redroses Posted October 15, 2011 Posted October 15, 2011 totally ridiculous. Based on that team we'll lose 2 - 0 imo. The one player in our team capable of pinching a goal is left on the bench (Yak). We only make about 2 chances per game and it takes Roberts 5 chances to score. Defeat.

des Posted October 15, 2011 Posted October 15, 2011 no idea where the goals will come from I would play a 3-5-2 but what do I know lets hope we win
Emge Posted October 15, 2011 Posted October 15, 2011 With Bolton winning at Wigan now, were are actually at the very bottom of the table ATM! Wake up Venkys!
MarkBRFC71 Posted October 15, 2011 Posted October 15, 2011 Awful selection, only positive is Pedersen isn't selected. Dumbfounded that Rochina can't get in that team - 4 goals this season is probably already more than Roberts would get if he played every game.

Bluefudge Posted October 15, 2011 Posted October 15, 2011 I can confirm we have had a corner !! Thx Ferdinand...... Nearly
