BuckyRover Posted October 13, 2011 Posted October 13, 2011 Let's hope we win our next few games. Stranger things have happened (turning water into wine?)
Rovers_786 Posted October 13, 2011 Author Posted October 13, 2011 Let's hope we win our next few games. Stranger things have happened (turning water into wine?) win both games are you sure the fans are not behide the manager and the players are seening this with their own eyes, its not happy days at Ewood Park it turning out to begin a crazy NightMare. I am going to training ground for a change and i will wait outside because, i am in blackburn in the morning.
bobsterbrfc Posted October 13, 2011 Posted October 13, 2011 I can't believe it. Kean, you have two games before I walk with my feet. How have Blackburn Rovers come to this?
michaelthomas Posted October 13, 2011 Posted October 13, 2011 Looks as though Kean isn't going anywhere in a hurry then. Spurs at home has potential to be downright horrible.
chaddyrovers Posted October 13, 2011 Posted October 13, 2011 If Clement is appointed (Martin Blackburn is very well connected so his info is likely to be right) then I can't see Kean being sacked. Even before JJ was sacked, Kean had identified Clement as his replacement. If he loses his next 2 games and we are adrift by 3 or 4 points the surely the owners will sack him??? Also with the owners going to be at the Spurs game then if we are getting beat badly surely the owners will sack Kean for sure?
paullarrygher Posted October 13, 2011 Posted October 13, 2011 The club have put themselves in a bizarre position with the timing of Jensen's sacking. If Kean hadn't got a number 2 in after two weeks then people would surely be saying "Why even give him two games?". If no assistant was brought in then Kean would surely play the sympathy card with the press when his inevitable sacking comes and it would make the club look even worse to prospective managers with the owners withdrawing the manager's resources. From the sounds of it, if this fella is on a short-term contract then I'm sure he's aware of the situation for the next two games - win or bust. At the end of the day though, I want Kean out of the club and the sooner the better. I support the protests and believe his position is untenable. But first and foremost, beyond any of the politics we are Blackburn Rovers fans and we just want to be proud of the club we love. Rovers Til I Die.
m1st Posted October 13, 2011 Posted October 13, 2011 this maybe the beginning of season tickets being sent back to the club.... I am sooooo close to doing it. I know what you're saying, thenonda. It probably speaks volumes about how sad I am; but Swansea [a] next March will be the 104th ground I've seen the club on - that's one of the things holding me back from sending my season ticket back. It's like me saying to Venky's, "I was here before I knew of you [or before you knew of us] and this club will always be my club."
Hi Mack Posted October 13, 2011 Posted October 13, 2011 If its true that a Venkys rep reads these boards: Plain and simple... SACK THE (insert appropriate word here)
rovgers Posted October 13, 2011 Posted October 13, 2011 If this appointment does happen then it really is a strange decision. I really can't see how this can really make the "management" team any better.
Backroom DE. Posted October 13, 2011 Backroom Posted October 13, 2011 Same old, same old with Venky's. They talk the talk, but they don't walk the walk. They'll soon find themselves as despised as Kean - they're rapidly running out of fans willing to give them the benefit of the doubt.
Steve Kean's Hypnotoad Posted October 13, 2011 Posted October 13, 2011 This is ******* disgraceful. In 25 years I never, ever thought my support for Rovers had a breaking point. Venkys have made me discover I do and are pushing me dangerously close to it. If this contemptible decision allows Kean to keep his job and take us down I think we'll lose close to 10,000 fans. I doubt I'll manage to wait that long before lobbing my season ticket at Mrs Desai's head.
Hi Mack Posted October 13, 2011 Posted October 13, 2011 With Ince, the bloke just wasnt good enough. And to be honest he knew he wasnt ready. Kean on the other hand is taking everyone for fools and has a personality that i detest, everthing he says is deluded and patronising.
daverich Posted October 13, 2011 Posted October 13, 2011 If we don't win at QPR and Jean doesn't get potted, venkys are in for one hell of a shock at the spuds game, assuming they will be present. Maybe then they will actually realise how much the "manager" is hated, and that it isn't a small minority. Whether that shock will be enough for them to act is a different matter all together, but I won't hold my breath because I'm still not convinced that his still being here isnt something to do with that parasite Anderson.
Amo Posted October 13, 2011 Posted October 13, 2011 With Ince, the bloke just wasnt good enough. And to be honest he knew he wasnt ready. Kean on the other hand is taking everyone for fools and has a personality that i detest, everthing he says is deluded and patronising. Ince would have too, if he could get away with it. Luckily, we then had people in charge who knew what they were doing.
FourLaneBlue Posted October 14, 2011 Posted October 14, 2011 There's a lot of deluded people on here who think Kean has 2 or 3 games to save his job. Nothing in the history of the ownership of our club under Venkey's suggests that to be the case. It's hard to do anything but come to the conclusion that Kean's job is as safe now as it was on the day he was appointed.
PAFELL Posted October 14, 2011 Posted October 14, 2011 If Clement is appointed (Martin Blackburn is very well connected so his info is likely to be right) then I can't see Kean being sacked. Even before JJ was sacked, Kean had identified Clement as his replacement. Have you considered that maybe clement is coming in as a possible new coach. If Kean is sacked a new management team would still want a coach. Maybe clement has been told that if a new manager comes in, his position within the club would change.
Craigman Posted October 14, 2011 Posted October 14, 2011 To be fair, J Jensen was only on a rolling month to month contract to start with, so I wouldn't be surprised if this is what Paul Clement would be on too.
Kamy100 Posted October 14, 2011 Posted October 14, 2011 Have you considered that maybe clement is coming in as a possible new coach. If Kean is sacked a new management team would still want a coach. Maybe clement has been told that if a new manager comes in, his position within the club would change. That is highly unlikely, mainly because he was Kean's first choice. Unless Venky's have totally lost it, then there is no chance that they are going to appoint a new assistant manager if there's was any possibility of Kean getting sacked. If Rovers lose tomorrow then things could get really ugly against Spurs, especially if Rovers lose, there is no chance that fans are going to back down over the Kean issue, especially if we keep losing matches.
AllRoverAsia Posted October 14, 2011 Posted October 14, 2011 this maybe the beginning of season tickets being sent back to the club.... I am sooooo close to doing it. If a ST is returned do the Club give a refund? Just interested - not advocating anything. Living in Asia I don't have one myself but there are 4 STs in my family in the UK - all of whom I introduced to Rovers years ago and all of whom are massively anti Kean and getting to the same stage with Venkys.
spencey7 Posted October 14, 2011 Posted October 14, 2011 Kean on the other hand is taking everyone for fools and has a personality that i detest, everthing he says is deluded and patronising. I wonder where he learned that...
Wing Wizard Windy Miller Posted October 14, 2011 Posted October 14, 2011 That is highly unlikely, mainly because he was Kean's first choice. And with one appointment any credibility venkys gained via the pune 9 will be destroyed.
alexanders Posted October 14, 2011 Posted October 14, 2011 Änd more people will attend the protest for the spurs game. It really is madness these days.
