Sparky Marky Posted October 15, 2011 Posted October 15, 2011 It will be a PR exercise with the Pune9 taking centre stage.
Roost Posted October 15, 2011 Author Posted October 15, 2011 Football focus? Aye. Prepare for more embarrassing sound bites
beerwins Posted October 15, 2011 Posted October 15, 2011 It will be more team venky rubbish. You should'nt talk that way about our family
Mattyblue Posted October 15, 2011 Posted October 15, 2011 For £20 million they have bought themselves unlimited advertising coverage worldwide. 'naive and thick' my arse.
ABBEY Posted October 15, 2011 Posted October 15, 2011 You should'nt talk that way about our family I hope that post was sarky ,the venkys are NOT my family! For £20 million they have bought themselves unlimited advertising coverage worldwide. 'naive and thick' my arse. Egg zack Lee it ain't about rovers it's all about team venky publicity
Billy Castell Posted October 15, 2011 Posted October 15, 2011 Unless they are about to commit suicide after killing Kean, Jerome Anderson and that Swiss Kentaro bloke I do not give a fig what those c___terheads say. It'll all be lies, delusions and PR rubbish from them.
Emge Posted October 15, 2011 Posted October 15, 2011 Exclusive? It will just be even more BS in the lines of: "We have to be positive and stick together, I think that is important. I can understand they fans are worried, but we will get out of this, I am sure of it."
jimw1988 Posted October 15, 2011 Posted October 15, 2011 Focus went with the team to india apparently. Nothing piece!
J*B Posted October 15, 2011 Posted October 15, 2011 The owners are very positive. We need to get results. They are 101% sure Kean is the right man for the job. Theyre sure that if results turn around fans will be happier.
Backroom Tom Posted October 15, 2011 Backroom Posted October 15, 2011 BAD BAD BAD: 98% of fans back us - they know this not to be true, 101% backing of Kean WTF SLIGHTLY BETTER: Not backing the manager if results don't improve I wish Venky didn't do the talking personally
Bluefudge Posted October 15, 2011 Posted October 15, 2011 2% of fans not happy ha ha ha Mr Kean is being heard more than us or the Pune9 Oh and Jason, with regard to chairmen not being able to talk football...... Dave Whelan Wigan mean anything to you !!!!!!
chris Posted October 15, 2011 Posted October 15, 2011 Thought it was a good interview particularly: Steve Ken was told he must get results, then asked presenter "is Kean job safe if he fails to get these results?" reply: "I'm not going to this now, he must get results" That pretty much how it went. Kean's on borrowed time if you ask me.
Roverall Posted October 15, 2011 Posted October 15, 2011 My God it is embarrassing to watch these people. Nervous grinning and constant talk of the 'results philosophy' despite our results being awful. Mr. Rao's statements are riddled with contradictions. Who gives two tosses about an Indian Academy?
Backroom Tom Posted October 15, 2011 Backroom Posted October 15, 2011 Thought it was a good interview particularly: Steve Ken was told he must get results, then asked presenter "is Kean job safe if he fails to get these results?" reply: "I'm not going to this now, he must get results" That pretty much how it went. I was very very happy to hear that and fell in with what I believe to be the case and then he said a couple of silly things to taint it.
Grez Posted October 15, 2011 Posted October 15, 2011 101% backing! KEAN is bullet proof. Venkys have really bought into the low cost youth development model. They know full well that an experienced manager would want serious cash spending on seasoned pros. It's cheaper to keep KEAN - regardless of results.
Glenn Posted October 15, 2011 Posted October 15, 2011 Given previous slip ups I wouldn't read to much into it, but when talking about honouring Jack's legacy and renaming the ground Venketesh said "we only want to change small things ... like the manager" !
BuckyRover Posted October 15, 2011 Posted October 15, 2011 I think if this was said about any other manager it would be described as the dreaded vote of confidence
chris Posted October 15, 2011 Posted October 15, 2011 I was very very happy to hear that and fell in with what I believe to be the case and then he said a couple of silly things to taint it. they have to say that they can't say we back Kean 76% Kean can't run and lie forever the table is his sword. Really I would like whatever it takes to get Kean out now. I have 0.0001% faith in him at the moment.
Emge Posted October 15, 2011 Posted October 15, 2011 Well, it should be really simple: Fail to get results and you will get sacked. Its the way it works! I do hope Venkys knows this

They know full well that an experienced manager would want serious cash spending on seasoned pros. It's cheaper to keep KEAN - regardless of results. not at all they have to say that, what were you expecting the answer to be before a big game. The important note was he must get results or lose his job.
Glenn Posted October 15, 2011 Posted October 15, 2011 Give the Football Focus interview with Venketesh was as the temple, I'm guessing no PR primer happened. Hence the stupid 98% stat us used again!
Backroom Tom Posted October 15, 2011 Backroom Posted October 15, 2011 You are right Chris, this was the least backing I have seen for him despite the 101% quote, he may say he has faith he can get the results but also said the results are the most important thing. If we lose the next 2 games he's gone IMO especially with the owners in town next week. Glenn - he was also in the same shirt which makes me think it was on the Thursday
