[Archived] BRFC Fans Open Meeting and Protest at the Spurs game

It's annoying me a bit how a couple of players have been asked to come out to the media and publicly back Kean and saying that protesting against the team makes the younger players nervous.

We're all quite clearly against Kean and not the players - we'll back the players as much as possible, as ever, if they're giving their all.

The protest is against Kean and his total incompetence at managing our club.

The players know that and Kean knows that, however much he's trying to shift the pressure elsewhere.

Only once before in the 1996-97 Season in their Premier League history have Rovers had fewer points after eight games. A terrible start to the Season saw Ray Harford resign in late October with the club bottom of the division.

Rovers finished that Season safe in 13th place BUT just 2 points from the relegation places.

Ken will not resign that's for sure so he will have to be pushed.

Dont worry Kean has been on SSN and he has identified where our points are going to come from.......

My god I hate this man more and more with every interview!

KEANOUT

Agree - he's like homer simpson but in real life.

It would be absolutely comical if he wasn't destroying our club.

Just re-watched "The Club That Jack Built" and it brought a tear to the eye. There was such a sense of decency, hard work and integrity about Jack's Rovers.

It brought home more than ever how these people are running our beloved club into the ground.

Jack Walker isn't with us anymore. We are the only people that truly care about Blackburn Rovers now and it is up to us to do whatever it takes to get Steve Kean out of the club, and for Venky's to shape up (and fast) or get out.

I like the idea of as many people as possible staying behind after the match. Maybe chants of "If you want Kean Out, stay put" towards the end of the game would encourage more to stay and then staying in the ground for a good 15 or 20 minutes after the game. I know some people will go home early regardless but I really feel this is the strongest message that could be sent.

I think 'stand-up if you want Kean out' during the match would have more audible and visible impact.

The problem we have during the game is we won't have 100% behind any anti chants due to lack of backbone.

Not from me though......... We are singing KEAN out not PLAYERS out.

As I said earlier today players back coaches, coaches are still one of the lads. Managers MANAGE, hence why Kean will never be a Manager !

Thank you,

My first ever agreement with a post on here.

I was nearly driven out of town for my Walter Smith post ;-)

Kean will never be able to step up from the shop floor to management.

Ass licks the bosses to much and wants to be mates with everyone on the shop floor. You can't be loved by both when making decisions.

Kean on Granada Reports

22:55mins in.

Apparently we're on course for the top ten

I've put it here as it needs to be seen by as many people as possible .

The man is insane

"We have a points tally and we are only slightly off it. We're where we want to be with another win and a draw" What, 9 points from 10 games!!!! Thats 34 points at the end of the season!!! He's laughing at each and every one of us. I'm not sure l could hold back if l was ever to meet him face to face :angry2:

Lol don't worry about it mate forums are made for opinions if people don't like your's they'll get over it, but yep you're absolutely right.

Yep I agree with the matey coach persona Kean has going on. If I wanted to be cynical about it I'd just say that the players don't respect him and put in the minimum effort in training and matches. Then when he's about to get sacked they think "we don't want this cushy work situation to end and get a boss who'll actually be our boss!" and they snap to it for a game. We'll beat Tottenham, then lose/draw the next 5, then as he's about to get sacked again the players will realise we have to win again and we'll beat Swansea. And so on until the end of time...

I am getting a feeling that Kean will not be gone after Sunday.

If we lose on Sunday, Ewood will be an absolutely terrible place for Kean, in particular, and Venky's.

He will be gone by Monday.

but he wont, these morons just dont see what we see, they have their heads so far up his bottom that they probably wont even be able to watch the match.

I understand that there is one senior figure @ Ewood, in particular, who is agitating for Kean to be sacked. Unfortunately, it seems that there are factions within the camp who all want their own different way. However, apparently, one voice is getting steadily louder and becoming more influential.

I posed the very question on weds asking who on the board is on the supporters side.

I too believe he will still be with us Tuesday of next week.

If so what really does happen next ? 3 protests, a 4th make any difference. I'm beginning to doubt it.
