Emge Posted October 23, 2011 Posted October 23, 2011 Turning up the music to drown out the protest! Absolute ###### disgrace!!! For once in my life I'm ashamed to support this club. Why would they even do that? It would mean that they do not want Venkys to sack Kean, but why the heck would they not?? I think I need a long break from this joke of a so called football club! Pathetic!!
Amo Posted October 23, 2011 Posted October 23, 2011 Venkys are a bunch of cowards. They knew there would be protests, so stayed away. Balaji = See no evil. Venkatesh = Speak no evil. Mrs. Desai = Hear no evil.
Stuart Posted October 23, 2011 Posted October 23, 2011 Some people are still in denial. A bloke on front of us said Kean needs more time (like a couple if years!) and he was deadly serious. Thinks they players we have are good enough - yet can't link that to poor management. Contradiction in terms for me. Also said during the game that Roberts shouldn't be up front, as he's not good enough and Pedersen shouldn't be in midfield. I felt obliged to point out that Kean picked them both! It seems there are still people - even now - who are yet to be convinced. Well done, to Glen and co, on organising another safe, good natured, and incident-free protest. You seemed really pumped up when I introduced myself. Adrenaline, I guess. Hope it has had some impact but I fear the nature of today's defeat has bought him yet more time...
mogster Posted October 23, 2011 Posted October 23, 2011 So Venky's lied to the Pune 9 about attending today? I wonder if they lied about anything else.. it's just not like them. The contempt shown by the Club, and therefore Venky's, by playing loud music to drown out the genuine fears of the fans shows how the fans are now regarded and I will have nothing more to do with them. They are the lowest of the low. This is not the Blackburn Rovers of the last 136 years, they broke that one and replaced it with this! That's 35 consecutive season tickets finished.
hesfromburn Posted October 23, 2011 Posted October 23, 2011 The players clearly back kean. I dont see venkys sacking kean untill that changes. Would you turn on "one of the lads"?? From the outside it seems venkys have built up a friend relationship instead of a business one and are finding it difficult to pull the trigger, very very foolish. Isnt that numer 3 in the ten must nots in business 101????
Ralfinho Posted October 23, 2011 Posted October 23, 2011 When we started chanting in the sit in we were loud, very loud then the pa was blasted out to drown our shouts out. Pathetic if u ask me. And my banners went down a treat. Got told off a mate in London talk sport mentioned my P45 banner. Haha quality. Kean out
Derbyshire Blue Posted October 23, 2011 Posted October 23, 2011 Watched The match and didn't hear 1 descending voice
AllRoverAsia Posted October 23, 2011 Posted October 23, 2011 So who exactly are you calling a flunky? Whomever the cap fits
Backroom Tom Posted October 23, 2011 Backroom Posted October 23, 2011 Watched The match and didn't hear 1 descending voice Because there wasn't during the match, everyone backed the team.
Pugg Posted October 23, 2011 Posted October 23, 2011 Did not like some very angry scenes between fans today in the stands. Really, really hope Kean gets sacked. Met Glen at half time, with my dad and friends. He mentioned some things I didn't know which now make sense. Well done today guys and gals.
Backroom Tom Posted October 23, 2011 Backroom Posted October 23, 2011 Whomever the cap fits Ah right so you are happy to sling mud but when asked about it fail to back it up?
Kamy100 Posted October 23, 2011 Posted October 23, 2011 Just got back. There were more people involved in the sit in today. It was laughable that Rovers turned up the PA with very loud music to try and drown out the protest chants. Well done to everyone who organised this, as you will hear on the Podcast later this evening I don't think it will have an influence on Venky's decision making process but fans showing their continued disapproval of Kean.
Emge Posted October 23, 2011 Posted October 23, 2011 Thanks for posting that, Kamy! The only thing to be enthusiastic over these days, are the commitment you guys are showing! A shame that Venkys are blind and stupid!
only2garners Posted October 23, 2011 Posted October 23, 2011 Because there wasn't during the match, everyone backed the team. Not quite true Tom. There was a small group below me in the Blackburn End that had a Kean Out banner up before the game and then again as soon as we went 2-1 down. They were roundly booed by everyone around them and in the subsequent shouting match one of them was thrown out.
Derbyshire Blue Posted October 23, 2011 Posted October 23, 2011 Because there wasn't during the match, everyone backed the team. Foolish from me as sat here I was shouting my support... Hoping you where able to get your message across. After today it makes it more obvious under the right leadership we can easly be mid table
cmb211087 Posted October 23, 2011 Posted October 23, 2011 Not quite true Tom. Them guys sit directly behind me, they had the banner and kean out t shirts on and the guy who was thrown out wasnt thrown out, he came back.
Bluefudge Posted October 23, 2011 Posted October 23, 2011 Home..... Well today my love of Rovers died. Why? Not the team, not even Kean. But when the club drowns out it's own supporters because the club does not like what it is hearing is deplorable. We built a family club where we all have our own parts to play. All week, check my posts, I've been saying the guy won't go. We the fans are no longer wanted or needed, how long until we are the next MK Dons? Franchised and move to suit our owners? Is that the end game they want?
cmb211087 Posted October 23, 2011 Posted October 23, 2011 Especially when the chant they drowned out was One Jack Walker. Without him none of them would even have the jobs they have today. Total disgrace.
ABBEY Posted October 23, 2011 Posted October 23, 2011 Disgrace by whoever turned the music up hang your head in shame!!!!!!! Venkys no show speaks volumes!! Bottom of the league and these bloody so called owners can't be even arsed to come to the game !!! Venky scumbags get out of our club you clueless rovers killers
Wing Wizard Windy Miller Posted October 23, 2011 Posted October 23, 2011 Ah right so you are happy to sling mud but when asked about it fail to back it up? Not a personal pop at you Tom but you guys came back very positive. We were told it would be about results, well we're still not getting any. You were also under the impression that they would be attending the game. Are you still as confident that they have the best interests of the club at heart?

We were told it would be about results, well we're still not getting any. You were also under the impression that they would be attending the game. Are you still as confident that they have the best interests of the club at heart? On that point I am but at this stage words and promises mean nothing, action has to be taken or best intentions go down the pan. I do wonder why they wren't there today as I thought they would be. I think calling someones personal integrity into question is bang out of order and a flat out insult though, maybe those making the comments would be so easily 'bought' it doesn't mean that others are.
chaddyrovers Posted October 23, 2011 Posted October 23, 2011 According to the Roversinsider on twiiter is saying this (don't know how much of this is truth but thought I would post it anyway) roversinsider Blackburn Rovers Spy COMMITTEE...a couple of those and the owners is on a knife edge as they feel they have no real influence - see Yakubu #Rovers roversinsider Blackburn Rovers Spy CLUB COMMITTEE... is PAUL HUNT, SIMON HUNT, VINNY RAO and a couple of others HOWEVER the relationship between at least... #Rovers roversinsider Blackburn Rovers Spy CALL...they believe now is the time to replace Kean but know they need to convince owners. They have a list of options inc Keegan #Rovers roversinsider Blackburn Rovers Spy CONFIRMED...there will be an unscheduled video phone call tomorrow from the club committee to the owners outlining their feelings #Rovers roversinsider Blackburn Rovers Spy @ @PAFELL17 Faz has long had connections at the club, doesn't attract interest. He wants to be number 1. Set up by the committee at the club NOT the owners... #Rovers
Mattyblue Posted October 23, 2011 Posted October 23, 2011 Protest before the game was much larger than Arsenal, as was the sit in. Also, the fact we got behind the side superbly second half was a credit to all.
