Anyone whose tyring to blame kean for this defeat is absolutely barmy! Our side was superbly set up, worked their socks off, had some fantastic individual efforts, and the best passing performance I have seen from Rovers in years. We totally dominated and were beat by two very lucky goals.

Hoilett came off becase he pulled up chasing the ball. Only thing I would hold against Kean is bringing Goodwillie on which was totally pointless. But it is still bizarre to say it in anyway contributed to the two Norwich goals. Yak wasn't holding the ball well at all upfront.

As others said I have wanted him to go because of terrible performances against Wolves and Newcastle. But to be honest if he can get the team to play like he has in the last three games I would be more than happy for him to stay....!

ps. How classy were Nzonzi and Pedersen in the middle! I just didnt think they were capable of that....

Getting points is all that matters and we are'nt, I agree that the team were set up right and played some cracking stuff it was great to watch but we must stop conceding goals, Kean has had long enough to understand the concept that we need clean sheets and get get the team to do it.

Make no mistake the players are certainly playing for him and but in the end we will go down playing good football as West Ham did last season.

We need to win ugly not lose playing well.

And the schedule haven´t been hardest.

It's about to get a lot harder, the christmas schedule looks very tough.

Face up lads. If Venky's didn't want to sack him after Newcastle he is not going to get sacked now after three very good performances. No chance.

Then we might as well write off this season and get ready for the dingle derby's next season in the Championship.

Still it wasn't like Norwich were actually causing us any problems were they? A few hopeful balls in the box, we were keeping possession well. Norwich didn't look like scoring at all. Ultimately we were undone by some appalling decisions.

Just don't buy the argument kean is to blame for this at all. In fact he (and clement) should be praised for motivating and setting up the side to play excellently. I

No they weren't until Kean tinkered with the team.

You're right in that we were undone by appalling decisions, but not just from the ref!

The opposition team can't get a penalty if they aren't in your penalty area. Norwich weren't going anywhere till Kean made it easier for them.

Does a runner get praise for being in the lead throughout the entire race, then tripping up before the finish line?

Gutted with the result, 3-1 up with minutes to go you think game is in bag. We played some good stuff, but our defence is too often opened up.

16 Matches no clean sheets

8 goals shipped in a week,

The only league win we have had we needed to score 4 to win it, we also need four to beat Newcastle midweek and 3 to beat Leyton Orient.

We can all argue about that was unlucky or this was unlucky, but we have also had lots of look go our way too this season,

i.e 2 own goals and offside goal and a stone wall penalty for Arsenal when we won,

Gamst deflected goal against Newcastle midweek, and Newcastle's stone wall penalty turned down,

There is little point bemoaning bad luck if we shoot ourselves in the foot with our inability to defend. We are now over a quarter of the way through the season and have just 6 points with Chelsea our next opponent. We have had some bad luck i.e Everton game ect but we have also had lots go our way too, it evens itself out over a season.

Many wanted to give Kean more time, but by him having this extra time he has put us in an awful position with us looking destined for relegation.

Fans making excuses for Kean is keeping him in a job and robbing Rovers of having a proper Manager appointed.

Yes we got 1 point today and that is one extra than we had, but we was only playing newly promoted Norwich, and there never say die attitude and their managers substitutions grabbed them a point.

Rovers did play very well today.

Thought Nzonzi and Pedersen run the midfield today.

Didn't think Petrovic should have come on for Hoilett thought Vukecvic should have come on instead.

Thought Formica, Hoilett and Rochina played well going forward and help out defensive alot more today than I have seen before.

The last 2 goals for norwich were very lucky. A massive defection off Lowe and A penalty that never were. Nzonzi had his back to the ball.

Remember the Graham Taylor doc about when he was in charge of England? During the Holland game, shouting at the 4th official "the ref just cost me my job, you know that"? Well, we all knew whilst we had certainly been robbed that game, the ref hadn't cost him the job, it was his terrible record uptodate that had done the damage.

It's the same with Kean.

Maybe he's been somewhat unfortunate that it appears John Jensen was a big part of the problem, and now he's gone we have much better shape. Still, only a doughtnut can bring Goodwillie on as a lone striker. He wouldn't look out of place down Pleasington on a Sunday morning....

A struggling team throwing away a two goal lead twice withing a week is not very good performance. That in its own would put most managers under pressure, whereas with Steve Kean were just pleased we were in the lead at some point.

Just got back into our hotel.

Gutted - why do we make it so easy for the opposition?

Why not bring Roberts on for the Yak? Goodwillie is just not mobile or strong enough for that role.

A proper manager will have had enough guile to close that game off!

Special mention to Robbo, Peds, Givet and Olsson - the only players to come over to the supporters after the final whistle to applaud us and make no mistake it's a long long way down here.

We played well today and the 2nd and 3rd Norwich goals had a lot of luck about them......BUT a good manager knows how to see out a game. Kean makes his subs too early and almost always weakens the team. He's been doing it ever since he's been in charge. Tactically he gets out thought too often.

three goals way from home. Some great performances. Outrageous penalty decision. Oh and those subs. Injury to Hoilett and Yakubu not making it happen today. Goodwillie technically more mobile. Petrovic provided momentum in midfield and we almost scored in the last few minutes. Plenty to feel good about. I am not so so angry. I am so so disappointed. interestingly Clement is clearly engaged and I think it was him giving the officials serious welly. No lack of passion from him.

Not feeling it John.

This is one of the games this season we needed to take 3 points from. We didn't. It can be dressed up and sugar coated and "great performanced" up til the cows come home. It's not good enough.

Where are our points coming from?

Surely, surely we can't draw or lose it from here.

Here come the dreaded changes. Please let's not screw it up.

Terrible subs, why make changes?

I hope Dunn and Goodwillie prove me wrong but surely it was the wrong time.

Not sure about those subs myself, come on Rovers please just hold on

TV lost picture at 91 mins! but just seen it. Very harsh penalty call.

Subs theory:

(1) Rochina went missing in the 2nd half after a very good first and Hoilett pulled up chasing a through ball just befores being subbed. Goodwille is crap and not as good as Yakubu which says it all really.

(3) Kean is a cretin and thinks that its compulsory to use all available subs.

We played well but apart from the goal Yak did SFA but we seem to have developed a flaw in our players not defending as a team and on occasions we were light in defensive when Norwich broke. Do Yakubu, Rochina, Formica & Hoilett ever get back properly.

I thought Givet was outstanding and MGP had a good game apart from a couple of lapses only he can do. Dunn looked like he'd put weight back on.

Over 25% of the Season has now gone and we have 6 points........

Thankfully both Wigan and Bolton lost so cosmetically our perilous situation improved and that's how it will be sold to the Raos.

There's a gap opening now. Only Wolves are within touching distance at the moment... we'd need at least 2 wins to scrape above 17th.

Fife Rover, on 29 October 2011 - 15:34 PM, said:

That's exactly how I find myself feeling at present. I am absolutely sick of all the hatred and trouble that the present situation is causing in and around my club. Right now I wouldn't care if they were managed by Adolf Hitler....The only thing I am interested in right now is Rovers winning games and getting up the league and I really dont care HOW they do it.

Also given the fact that the players are quite obviously behind Kean (in spite of the lies I was told when I questioned this recently) I Just want to see Rovers winning every match and if Kean remains in post so what?? It's results that count.

Just watching on SSN at present and it seems Rovers are playing VERY well according to paul Merson. This has been shouted out several times already and they deserve to be in front right from the start.

COME ON YOU BLUES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

All very well but we have a manager who doesn't know how to win. Just watch what happens...

See. Boo.

10 games. 1 win.

No hope.

So it's over to Pune.

Steve Kean comment: "So we are disappointed that we couldn't score more. But we'll take the positives from that and keep going.

What the feck?? scored 3 goals away from home. That should be enough for a win you douche. you should be disappointed that you cant defend for ######. And it seems that he can find positives in every loss we get. Get out of my club

Ok my scores:

Robbo 6: did ok couple of ok save, ok

Lowe: 6 better then Salgado, couple of mistakes

Samba 7: was good most part and good goal

Givet 8: in CB he seems to make all these last minute tackle and headers, enjoyable to watch him there, wierd how is can;t do it left back e.g. get beaten in the air

Olsson 6: did ok, better when left midfield

Nzonzi 8: the guy is playing class, wins the ball and never loses it, he looks fitter and sharper

Pedersen 6: did ok, not really pulling the strings like Nzonzi

Rochina 7: some great passes, much better shame he went off

Hoilett 7: great goal, does a bit too much though

Formca 6: did ok, disapeared a bit but nice touches too

Yakubu 5: got his so maybe deserves a 6 or 7 for that but very slow today

subs:

Goodwillie 4: even slower then Yak

Dunn 5: didn;t do anything

Petrovic: 6 best of the subm little surprised that he was quicker then I've seen him, anyone else see that run?

I agree about the long term results being extremely poor, and there is no reason to say he should stay after three good games. If we have a quality manager lined up lets bring him in, Im all for it. But you have to be balanced in your assessment and today we were excellent. There is no escaping that no matter how much peoples personal emnity towards Kean is.

Face up lads. If Venky's didn't want to sack him after Newcastle he is not going to get sacked now after three very good performances. No chance.

We surrendered a 2 goal lead late on Weds, we do the same today. We concede over 2 a game. Lucky, unlucky, playing well, doesn't matter a jot.

We are like Blackpool without the shock results. Everyone likes watching us because they're guaranteed goals.

Kean is neither a good manager nor a lucky one. Has to go before or after the Chelsea result or we are down.

Unfortunately I don't think good managers are going to be queuing up to take over us. Plenty with something to prove would but it doesn't make them good managers.

It doesn't matter anyway, they won't sack him.

Managers would come if they had certain assurances from Venky's in terms of not affecting team/transfers and transfer budgets.

In terms of the game today I thought we did well until Kean made his normal dire subs which ruined us. We went from being in charge and creating chances to looking like a team that had no idea what was going on and who should do what. Instead of being on the attack and keeping the ball up their end it came back on to our back 4 + Nzo and Petrovic would just have no positional sense at all. What Nzonzi was doing for their 1st goal I'll never know, he should be touch tight to Morrison.

Whilst Kean isn't to blame for the penalty going against us, he is responsible for putting us the position that meant we drew the game. If he left it as it was we would have kept attacking and held on easily IMO. Changing it for no reason just affected the players mentally and confused them.
