It was all predictable from the off.

- failed to buy a right back

- failed to get in a leader and captain

- failed to get a striker

- picked bad players Selgado/Roberts/GivetLB

- doesn't know his best team

- has not got an eye for a player /Selgado//Roberts:Petrovic/Formica

As Clough said, the more I win, the luckier I get. Kean has allowed pressure to build up. Not dropping 5 goals a season max, Jason Roberts and now the damage is done.

We have played well against Spurs and Norwich and had we beaten Everton and Wolves we may well have won these under less pressure and more confident.

We picked poor players early doors, we lost silly games, we lost confidence and organisation and we are losing games when we are the better team.

I predicted all of this before a ball was kicked. I'd do a better job than Kean because the mistakes are glaring.

Today the subs were awful and at a critical time.

In short, Rovers don't need me and they definatley do not need Steve Kean. Useless.

Nearly got it right with my forecast yesterday (3-2 to Norwich if Kean mismanages substitutions). He's just got to go I'm afraid. he does not know how to win a match. At 3-1 up you don't invite pressure by removing players who can hold the ball up with others who can't control the ball quickly enough (Dunn,Petrovic, Goodwillie) to relieve pressure. Refs are always prone to a boo-boo-we got lucky with one on Wednesday-not today. This manager makes managerial errors every single match but no reporter asks him why he weakens his team with his substitutions. He is trying to be clever but is failing miserably and its costing us! Its a shame really because he has brought on the youngsters and bought promising talent but they need managing effectively. Also his summmer experienced signings are average at best. There is nothing for us next week and then two more away games. Looking grim.

the build up play to the Yakubu goal was brilliant, if it was Arsenal or Barcelona they would have shown the replay countless times and added up how many passes where completed before the goal was scored

Lowe was shafted today at right back, either by the manager's tactics to stay inside or the managers ineptitude in not organising his team to stop the tidal wave of crosses that is exposing our defence.

Nzonzi is not getting the tackles in. Samba is wearing the captains armband but you would nt hear him if he led the team into Westminster Cathedral.

Olson has improved his defending and is still getting forward. Why Oh why was he not LB instead of the incompetent Givet.

It's only going to get worse. Dann will start and well be back to tweedle dumb Givet And tweedle dee Selgado back.

If we want to cheer and celebrate crap players why don't we just sign players from the Blue Square League.

Givet is a top defender. He and Samba are our best centre halves by some distance imo. He was only playing left back simply cos he could make a decent fist of it. Does it not cross your mind that he has struggled this season because MGP who put a defensive shift in is not playing wide left and has been replaced by a combination of defensive lightweights?

btw just seen the highlights and notwithstanding that Steve Kean is a poor manager and a backstabber he has to go cos he is simply bloody jinxed. If it's not on him with the hex on him then it's the Venkeys. Our bad luck is simply unreal.

We have 2 midfielders playing at full back and a crap centre back in givet, which equals worse defence in league simple as that. Therefore if you make subs that invite pressure upon your defence your just asking to be ###### over the backside. Ridiculous decisions again from management has lost us 2 valuable points

Merson doesnt often talk sense:

In a nutshell -

Today, Kean made mistakes. The subs he made disrupted our momentum and gave Norwich the initiative HOWEVER we still only lost because of a deflected shot which 99 times in 100 flies into the top tier and a penalty which shouldn't have been given. As hard as it is to swallow, today we genuinely lost because of bad luck. That isn't to say Kean's blameless and I haven't suddenly become his 'cheerleader'.

I know its fashionable to throw all the blame at Kean each week but for once, this may not have been totally down to him.

He needs to go, dont get me wrong, and usually the excuses he comes out with each week are verging on nauseating, but this week I think we can point to some real bad luck for once.

Subs that invite pressure? We had Hoilett and Rochina protecting the full backs in the first half, thats hardly protection is it??? I was happy at the first XI and I think that was the strongest side Kean could have picked. The goals we conceded wouldn't have been scored 99 days in a 100 regardless of Kean's changes. Today we were robbed but it wasnt simply down to Kean. Put the pitchfork down for once.

It's not just one or the other though mmp. Ys we were very unlucky, but at 3-1 up and coasting Kean made subs and the dynamic of the game changed and we let two goals in. Those are the facts. The bad luck shouldn't take away the focus of the poor subs and vice versa.

Anyone remember our last clean sheet? When was the last time we only let in one?

When will folk realise once & for all that football is a results business !

I don't give a f**k how well Rovers played or how unlucky we were ! 3-1 up for gods sake yet they throw it away...AGAIN

Players must take responsibility for this result but 8 goals conceded in a week & 16 games without a clean sheet..thats all about tactics and that's the manager's responsibility !!

KEAN OUT

BUT

Ominously the rest are now stretching away from the bottom 4. Life without Allardyce isn't quite the roaring success the less knowledgeable amongst the supporters thought is it? btw WHU had another good win today and the likliehood of them replacing us is becoming greater every passing week. Sam will be just bursting to give two finger salute and a wide grin to our owners, management and Jerome Anderson as he passes us wont he?

You tedious little prick, go support west ham if thats how you feel and you're missing Allardyce so much.

KEAN OUT

Allardyce long frigin gone and wont be coming back, get the (Please don't use that word again) over it.

He has a point, if we still had SA or any real manager we would not be in our present position,

Theno got a 5 week ban for calling someone a sad old git, think you went a bit further there!

pretty much everybody here knows we need a respected, solid authoritative manager.

and whats wrong with a bit of language, jeez some of the stuff you here on the terraces his shocking, but you wouldn't go around asking everybody that swears to hush or leave!

What a rubbish decision by the ref giving Norwich a penalty... Harsh!

A penalty and a deflection goal. Unlucky.

I thought we played really well and thoroughly deserved 3 points.

To quote, I think, Clint Eastwood in Unforgiven "Deserves got nothing to do with it."

Kean's a bad manager. On the evidence, he can set up a team for attacking football, but he can't set them up to defend and he has a lousy sense of substitutions. Looking at the totality, he is not up for it.

Kean's an unlucky manager. 6 wins in 31. Yes, a case can be made that he should have had 1-2 more wins but for bad luck. I believe you make your own luck. Perhaps Kean has collected some bad karma along the way?

Regardless, the results are not going Kean's way and it's time to find a manager who has a more complete skill set and a bit of good fortune about him.

Hoilett was cramping.

I'm no fan of Steve Kean, but it wasn't the subs that undid us. We actually played well at 3-2 and deserved to keep that lead. A dive gave a free kick that resulted in a harsh penalty.

Harsh results are to be expected in football. If the manager can't cope with it and can't work through it, he needs to go. As Kean has had plenty of time, he needs to be shown the door.

Any news on Hoilett ?

The lad does seem to have repetitive trouble with that hamstring which aint great at his age.

If he's out for any length of time, will be a huge miss and will only quicken our sink into the abyss.

If that is true, sell him and make many millions off him while he's still healthy.

. . . He is trying to be clever but is failing miserably and its costing us! Its a shame really because he has brought on the youngsters and bought promising talent but they need managing effectively. Also his summmer experienced signings are average at best. Yes, things are grim. If the balance of your post is accurate, then Kean is ideal for the Indian Youth Academy. So move him out of the Rovers and ship him to India.

Bingo. The fact that there are those who don't see the obvious pattern is shocking.

probably got something to do with there is no 9:00pm watershed on the MB and youngsters can read it, but i am sure a mod will point it out

I've never defended Kean before BUT watching today's game we played some of the best passing football for ages.

Kean was NOT to blame for the 2 goal comeback - Barcalona wouldn't have been Able to cope with the deflection or the refs terrible decision.

Yes it's a results business but we DESERVED the points today, better performance from the youngsters than so many of Big Sam's away day surrenders.
