CAPT KAYOS Posted November 18, 2011 Posted November 18, 2011 Will be visiting the Moon Under Water for brekkie and then onto the Orwell for a liquid lunch. Although I've never been to The Anvil so may pop in there at some point to see what it's like. Not very big Scotty and does get busy depending upon what time you go in - variety of ales and a decent pint. If going from the Moon - come ou the main doors - Down Market ST and turn left towards the bus station - you'll not miss it

glen9mullan Posted November 18, 2011 Posted November 18, 2011 I'll venture to the Moon Under the Water for midday. Never done one of these board meet ups before how does it work, should I tell you what I'll be wearing so you can spot me? I'll be wearing a blue and white top with a rose over my left man breast. I think the only person I know off this board is Ricky after meeting him at a Football Aid things years back. Can you have L and R on each hand too please for us that don't know the difference between left and right :-)
darwenblueswearehere Posted November 18, 2011 Posted November 18, 2011 Our train from Glasgow gets in at about 12.30 so it'll be straight into the Moon with my sister and our respective kids. COYB!!!!! LOL - edited to prevent me from appearing to be a Dingle, thanks for pointing it out to me

Backroom Tom Posted November 18, 2011 Backroom Posted November 18, 2011 I'd like you to meet my wife and my sister.....here she is!
den Posted November 18, 2011 Posted November 18, 2011 Wigan's official away parking is a. nearer. b. free. Watch you don't accidentally park on the soccer dome car park, they'll charge you a fiver (I think) to be one row of cars nearer the ground than the official free parking. I've always parked on the soccer dome car park. Are you sure it's free on the official CP - and available to all fans?
AggyBlue Posted November 18, 2011 Posted November 18, 2011 I've always parked on the soccer dome car park. Are you sure it's free on the official CP - and available to all fans? Away fans alway get directed onto the first car park on the right, it ain't free either. I'll be parking up on there in the morning then walking to the station. My youngest is travelling down from Lancaster, expected to arrive just after 12.

Glenn Posted November 19, 2011 Author Posted November 19, 2011 Away fans alway get directed onto the first car park on the right, it ain't free either. I was sure it was Free, but I could be mistaken. I know the soccer dome one isn't.
cn174 Posted November 19, 2011 Posted November 19, 2011 I was sure it was Free, but I could be mistaken. I know the soccer dome one isn't. There's only a free car park for the rugby now, not for the football
Backroom Tom Posted November 19, 2011 Backroom Posted November 19, 2011 There's only a free car park for the rugby now, not for the football That's because Rugby is rubbish Anyway I'll probably park on whatever one I'm directed to, expect me back Sunday!
Backroom Tom Posted November 19, 2011 Backroom Posted November 19, 2011 I'll be getting a backie lol I'll even wear my Raiders Jersey (it is the Raiders you support right )
Glenn Posted November 20, 2011 Author Posted November 20, 2011 Well, BRFCS members were out in good force yesterday. Despite me not arriving until late I manage to say hi to cn174, hannah, Tom M, Tris, Kiwiwannabe, ohmiBRFC, Den, Baz, ABBEY. Captain Kayos, Mellison, Beta Ray Billy, JPW, Stu Wilky, Vicky, Muzihnio, Scotty, NuclearSox and MarkBRFC (sorry if I missed anyone) and somehow I managed to miss Ste B, PhilipL and Biddy. I'll try and be a bit more organised next time and try and plan something, rather than relying on blind luck.

Glenn Posted November 20, 2011 Author Posted November 20, 2011 Yeah, normally I like to choose somewhere I can get the flag out and/or at least update twitter etc with how to find us, but most people had moved on my the time I'd arrived,

Ossydave Posted November 20, 2011 Posted November 20, 2011 There was some right clowns following us yesterday. Was embarrassing watching some lads abusing a group of kids on bmx bikes outside the venue, I had to have words.
AggyBlue Posted November 20, 2011 Posted November 20, 2011 I'm still not happy Glenn laughed at my lip decorations Lipstick didn't suit eh?
Glenn Posted November 20, 2011 Author Posted November 20, 2011 I'm still not happy Glenn laughed at my lip decorations You should have had it in India. It'd have gone well with your mocktail
Backroom Tom Posted November 20, 2011 Backroom Posted November 20, 2011 I would have fit in well in India, I wanted a nice refreshing beverage and it sounded nice. It wasn't and at the same time traded my mancard for a mangina

Rules is rules And if we didn't have rules, where would we be? That's right ..... FRANCE All Hail The Ale (Best clip I could find, shame the quality of the first 30 seconds is dreadful. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=axW-HK0v83Y
